Pearl Restaurant

We were told the igloo would be warm prior to booking the reservation. It was freezing. Waiter told us we were in the cold igloo because we were far from the heater.

Excellent restaurant. They pay attention to Covid19 precautions.

Home-styled classic rendition of Italian. We did a three course of oysters, bucatini Cacio e Pepe, and Berkshire pork chop; everything came out exactly how we wanted it to. Oysters were so fresh, and perfectly paired with the pear vinaigrette. I’d paired them all day with sparkling wine.
Bucatini was served with porcini mushes with added pecorino on the top. Cooked slightly al dente, it still is one if my favorite to pair with Italian wine like Nebbiolo or barbera. The mushroom added the umami flavoring which adds some tertiary food notes. DEFINITELY would recommend.
The Pork Chop was my personal favorite and I would get it everyday if I could. Served medium it was so juicy and with the jus over the top: simply beautiful. That evening it was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes with candied green apples. Definitely try to savor the sauce with the mashed holy crap.

Owner kept coming to our table and her mask was under her nose.
When the bill came there was a non-cash adjustment fee of 4% the bill.
Honestly, this should have been noted and explained to us prior to the reservation.

It was ok, the food was ok, not amazing or mind blowing but ok. It was just really, really expensive that "One" day and they didn't advertise anywhere on their site that it was a fixed menu. I was on a date so I didn't want to look like an idiot and complain. They had a NYE menu but did not advertise it anywhere so when I made the reservation I was expecting a standard normal priced menu with the dinner items I was really looking forward to or expecting. So for me, I didn't expect to spend $260 with BYOD in total & sit next to the kitchen door. It wasn't a romantic window view as I requested on my reservation. For $260, I could of had a NYC skyline view and great meal. I would have loved to try their normal menu and wouldnt have gone if I knew they had a fixed menu. Note: They did give us a bottle of champagne so it was a nice gesture & the folks were really nice.

I came to Pearl for the first time on NYE after making a reservation through Open Table the week before. I was looking forward to it as family and friends had spoken highly of the food. When we arrived for dinner, there was a prix fix menu for $89 pp (plus tax & gratuity)...I was disappointed to find out that this was the only option for dinner that evening as we weren't looking to over indulge in 3 course meals and pay the ultimate $110 per person. The food was good and the outdoor igloos were great...but overall I was really disappointed that I wasn't notified of the prix fix menu prior to coming as I definitely would not have come here that night.

Excellent service and food. Stuffed artichoke was delicious. We sat at the perfect table in the corner to see the Ridgewood Christmas tree.

Food is excellent and staff is professional and courteous.

When we arrived , with reservations what appeared to be the owner was very standoffish. Like we were bothering him. The wait staff was excellent though being they were quite busy.

Having eaten at Pearl before, I really love the food they prepare. All the pasta is homemade and tastes really good. They have some really creative dishes and the wait staff is very personable and attentive.

We sat outside as the weather was beautiful. They had heat lamps in case the temp dropped too much for us.

BYOB is always a great value at a NJ restaurant.

Two complaints #1. I don’t appreciate having to provide a credit card to secure a reservation for $50 per person if I fail to show. $100 is excessive

#2 I don’t appreciate not being given notice prior to making the reservation or at the beginning of the meal that I will be charged an additional fee if I do not pay cash

Both policies do not make me feel respected as a ciatomo

Food was fantastic!!! However, they ran out of multiple things on the menu. And we were seated outdoors in 40 degree weather with not one heater around us. I wore my jacket zipped up the whole time and we were so cold our fingers were going numb, we didn’t even stay for dessert because we just wanted to get in a heated car so bad

Very noisy room, the room was cold as doors were kept open to service outside diners.
There was a lag between courses, and didn’t readily have proper glasses for wine and champagne.

Great outdoor seating! The food was delicious and great service! Nice place to meet friends in Ridgewood.

The best Italian cuisine in Ridgewood. Always a pleasure.

From the greeting to the dessert everything was great.
The service, waiters etc were professional, friendly and efficient.
The baked clams were amongst the best we’ve ever had and so was the crabmeat cresting.
Both our pasta dishes were great and so was the cheesecake!
I strongly recommend Pearl for great Italian food way above the norm.

Fantastic food, service, price it is a must in Ridgewood

Always a pleasure to dine at Pearl. We’re lucky to have them in our town. Genuine Italian cuisine with more of a Northern Italian influence, so very light.

The most delicious, freshest Italian food I have had in ages. The menu is surprisingly diverse, and everything we had was superb. I give Pearl the highest recommendation possible. We will be regulars from here on!!!

Great vibe and delicious food. I have been three times this summer and all evenings were wonderful.

Finally got to dine out inRidgewood again. Sat outside at Pearl under the heaters, Fantastic! Lots of energy all around. Food was truly outstanding.

Went out with friends although our table was not ready Nona made sure we were seated promptly. My husband had the Pork Chop which he said was delicious. My girlfriend had Bronzini excellent. And Lamb chops were great. My shrimp
And pasta were ok. Tough to be outside but they made it as comfortable as possible. We will go

Staff was attentive. Meals were very flavorful. Portions were perfect.

It was a nice experience except for the location of our table. We were by the entrance, so it was blustery and noisy when people were coming in.

The food was very good. Finding a parking place in Ridgewood is the biggest downside.

Up-scale Italian. Nonna watching over everything to make sure that all of her "guests " are enjoying dinner---we did.

We've dined at Pearl many times for celebrations, special occasions, and just for family meals, and each and every time, we find something else to amaze us. From the food, to the staff, I can never find fault with our visits

Wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. Crabmeat appetizer was just right and our two pastas were extraordinarily good. The service was friendly, efficient and nothing was rushed. Looking forward to our next visit.

Max and his family are terrific proprietors. Service was outstanding food quality was perfect and the atmosphere is relaxing. If you’re looking for a great meal in Ridgewood do yourself a favor and go to Pearl
