Lovely Sunday dinner need to change the selection of starters though. Maybe add mushrooms or prawn starter as whitebait isn’t for everyone! Will definitely return x

I highly recommend a visit to the restaurant at Smokies Park Hotel. The food is first class. I believe that the Sunday Lunch was very good value.

Considering that we are in very funny times with distancing, face masks etc
we enjoyed the meal and the ambience in the bar room after

I am gutted, myself and my husband came for our anniversary as we stayed at the hotel.

There was no duck, no sirloin no flat bread and no sharing boards all of which were what we would normally have, the bury black pudding was tasteless, the hollandaise sauce didn't taste of anything , my husband had the crispy beef stir fry with noodles which again lacked any taste, I had the gammon they did not ask how i wanted eggs which i found odd and they came not runny which is how I like my eggs,

Also the rose wine tasted bitter as if it was a day or two old

Room was very nice but cold all evening. Food and service was excellent. David was very nice. Would recommend but put a jumper on.

Booked a table for 6 for a birthday celebration. When we arrived, there were only 2 other tables with customers. (About 8 people all together). We was immediatly informed that there were no steaks....really? On a Saturday evening!!
We ordered our meal from the waitress who was obviously inexperienced and feeling under pressure......really? For 3 tables!!
Our starters came after about half an hour.....well, 5 of them did!! The 6th arrived 5 minutes later. This was half a bowl of soup, probably the quickest to prepare from the order!!
In between the starter and main, we ordered some wine. This took 20 minutes to arrive......,( i repeat, there was only 3 tables to serve???)
The main eventually came and the quality of the food was really poor.
In the end, we felt really sorry for the waitress. The place is very badly run and she was getting complaints from all sides which ultimately wasn't her fault.
Never again!!!

3 course meal was amazing and our whole party loved it. The kids both had 3 courses for free. Will definitely be back

Great service and lovely main meal. Dessert was ridiculously expensive, £5.50 for 3 very small scoops of vanilla ice cream in a cereal bowl and £7 each for a koppaberg

Food was overpriced for what it was. We were dining next to ladies with rollers in their hair with slippers on. We were seated at the smallest table ever (like a coffee table on long legs) when the place was empty apart from the ladies in rollers and slippers! We aren't snobby at all but we could've eaten in the lounge for half the price and been more comfortable

The chef & waitress were both very pleasant and attentive, unfortunately the food choices were very limited. Starters, poor options and poor quality. Main meal, meats were okay, very limited vegetable options but the tray available was well cooked and tasty, hard/dried roast potatoes, additional the food wasn't warm enough, only one gravey available to cover for 3 meats. Dessert was pleasant and we'll presented. Happy to pay for our meal but we don't intend on a return visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Took the family along and have to say everyone thought the food was fantastic. The waitress was lovely too. Overall very good and we will be back soon
