Delicious food. Soft music in the background. Great place for a get together and a quality meal.
My wife and I have been to Petite Violette and the former name, Petite Auberge, many times over the years. Once again it met all of our expectations. Definitely a great restaurant for very good French and German type food. The October menu has very authentic German type food in addition to the regular menu. We definitely recommend Petite Violette.
Always feel welcomed and appreciated when arriving here. The chairs are very comfortable and the whole place has an inviting chic ambiance that we love. Food: the best! No need to wonder if they are really good at that 'special one thing'...everything is special here! So, sit back, relax and enjoy anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed.
Mom’s group of 5- everyone loved their food, service was great and we could actually hear each other talk at the round table where we were seated. We meet every few months and all agreed the experience was so good that we will be back for our next meeting. Thank you for a great night out!
Nouilles Aux Legumes with Truite
Great food and service the three friends with me had never been before and they really liked everything about it.
We always have an excellent meal there - one of our favorite restaurants.
We enjoyed Petite Violette so much. It now ranks among our favorite restaurants. I especially recommend the SALADE PETITE AUBERGE! Oh my goodness. Lovely scallops and wine. We were seated a little too close the the live guitarist/singer, so we had trouble with our conversation, but it wasn’t unpleasant. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner. We think though that the service should be less rushed. It is a French restaurant after all where you take time to enjoy the delicious food.
It was wonderful
Always delicious with great daily specials. The service is always impeccable. This was a perfect choice for a ladies lunch. Tables aren’t crowded together and music isn’t loud, so you can actually talk. This is a top pick for sure.
Consistently good. We love all parts of the menu. The salmon, trout entrees are favorites. Lobster crepe, escargot appetizers are good. Excellent salad and desserts. New variety with evening musicians is a treat.
I can’t imagine after this experience how a native of the area didn’t know about this place. I’ve missed so many great meals. Incredible food! Terrific service
This was our first time. We tried it on a whim and we are so glad we did. My husband had the Reuben which was one of the best he’s ever had. His truffle fries were amazing!!! I had the infamous quiche. Evidentially that was a standard that the locals all loved. Now it makes a showing randomly. Well, I’m glad I tried it. It was amazing! Our server was wonderful too. She gave us her honest opinion about menu items we asked her about. It was so refreshing that it was so honest and NOT just how much the entree might be. She wasn’t giving her opinion to increase her tip. Which, in reality, we gave her more just for her honesty! We were pleasantly surprised at our random draw for a restaurant in the area we happen to be in. We will be back!!! My husband woke up the next morning STILL thinking about his Reuben and he can’t wait to have it again.
We especially enjoyed the live music, re-connecting with Berne Poliakoff, a musician we used to hear at South of France before it closed.
This was our first dining experience at this establishment. The hostess upon entering was very pleasant and accommodating. They were flexible with our table seating and welcoming with showing us around. They mentioned their monthly Dining was a Diva and we plan to make a reservation soon.
Food was wonderful and service was extremely attentive. Wonderful lunch experience. Reasonably priced wine list was appreciated. parking is awkward but tolerable.
Been to the old location many times, this was our first time at the new location, loved it and the food was great.
This is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. Both the food and the service are great.
An epicurean delight. Service and ambiance also great.
The valet parking was a little confusing, but once inside it was nice, and we enjoyed the food. As a bonus, they had a live singer (Saturday night).
Very nice dinner. The grilled lamb chops were perfectly prepared with a mustard sauce and fingerling potatoes. My partner had a German themed breaded veal with red cabbage. The wine special, a French Pinot Noir was excellent for the price. All in all just what I have come to expect at this restaurant, one of the few truly French in the area. Prices are moderately high, but the quality is excellent.
Love this restaurant, wish noise level was not so loud.
Two guests loved the Sea Bass, so would recommend it highly.
The Violette is gone from Petite Violette. There is no ambience; the Violette salads and entrees are no longer on the menu. It has become a mediocre French restaurant. RIP Violette.
We were treated excellent; service impeccable. We love this place and will continue to return. They made my Mother’s Birthday special with her creme brûlée with a candle (I made them aware in note when set up reservation
The noise level is so severe that it is always a factor in our determining whether to return.
Can’t something be done to lessen the noise? We go to fine dining to relax and eat in a quiet atmosphere.... impossible these day!
The musician couldn’t even be heard ..... it was almost a waste.....
Great food, great service and the vinegar and olive oil boutique is awesome. Definitely will go back!
This is 2nd visit to the restaurant. We don't live in Atlanta but location is convenient to where we stay in Atlanta. The menu is very extensive . I had the salade nicoise which was great. The tuna was excellent as were the veggies. It was lightly dressed. In our party another diner had beef bourginon which he said was great. My husband had the schnitzel -- not as enthusiastic about it. Vivian did a great job as our server! The environment is a little tired but comfortable. Would recommend it for an evening out.
The escargot and mussels were disappointing. Most of the mussel shells were empty and the mussels were extremely tiny. Otherwise the entree's were very good. Dessert was awesome! Staff exceptionally friendly.
Wonderful atmosphere. Stacey was a great server - friendly professional and was always available but not over bearing. Sea bass special and trout were excellent. My veal was just ok.
The entire experience was great. I was with two friends and we wanted to talk and eat slowly. Our waitress didn’t push us at all and the food was delicious. I have eaten here many times and will continue to return and spread the word to those who haven’t been here. By the way you must try Dinner and a Diva. A great experience and reasonably priced!
This was my second visit and we were lucky enough to have the same server who was perfect. We were able to leisurely enjoy our delicious meal and never felt rushed. Will return soon.
PV has been my go to eatery for over 20 YEARS. Lunches and dinners, never disappointed. Its newer rendition is just as fine with its long history of the same and some new very fine dishes, although a few more gluten free choices would NOW be much appreciated. Wine choices are always the best in Atlanta. Service is attentive and knowledgeable. It's perfectly French!
I've been to Petite Violette many times over the years and I have seen it deteriorate right before my eyes. My trip yesterday was the worst, when I took five of my colleagues to lunch. First of all, the service was as slow as it's ever been. I don't know if the waitress was simply overloaded or just inattentive. But we had to wait for everything. Secondly, the noise level is such that you can't even hear the people at your own table. Then there's the menu and the food. Having lived in France, I am probably more critical than most, but if you're going to bill yourself as a French restaurant, have a French person review your menu to make sure it's not rife with mistakes as Petite Violette's is. Also, this restaurant doesn't even pretend to serve authentic French food. They've taken a bunch of French menu items and given them a decidedly American twist. The food is fine, but if you think you're going for bona fide French food, think again. Topping off an extremely uninspiring lunch, I watched as the valet tore up two extremely expensive wheel rims by driving up against the curb. I probably could have pressed it, but I felt so sorry for the kid, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Clearly, he needs to be assigned to duties other than driving a car. Next time I'm looking for good food, I'll probably go somewhere else. And if you go to Petite Violette yourself, park your own car.
It was fine . The wienersnitzel was more heavily breaded and a bit dry. Trout was delicious.
Service was wonderful & food was really good. It's an expensive lunch but not for a seated meal. Great place for a business lunch.
Great food. Not as busy as expected.👍👍👍👍✊. Expect too spend a couple 100$.
I had not been in a while and it was even better than I remembered.
