   we had the crudo with avocado and always get the Serrano ham, pear and endive salad. We tried the black linguini with shrimp and the cod. My spouse loved the cod and I loved the black linguini which was served hot direct from the skillet. the food was excellent

   We really enjoyed our dinner here! The pasta was amazing the appetizers were awesome & the drinks were too! Kind of small portions, but the amazing flavors made up for it. I would go back for sure.

   The spot is cute but honestly not worth a trip back. Of everything we ordered, only a few things were good. Waiters were friendly, but not very attentive and they forgot part of our order. If I had to suggest an item I would say the burrata fig toast under appetizers was pretty good! Everything else was just decent and could be elevated with some simple flavor profile adjustments.

   I recently visited and was incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the attractive menu and appealing ambiance, the dishes I received were an utter disappointment. The appetizers, which included calamari and the appetizer that included pear, both lacked any sort of flavor. The pasta dish my companion ordered was unappetizing and underseasoned, lacking any depth or complexity. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone based solely on the food. While the service was adequate, the quality of the food was simply undesirable. It was a disappointing and expensive dining experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.

   So few fine dining restaurants serve Saturday lunch (let alone lunch at all), this is a superb find. There is a nice brunch menu and the full menu is also available. Food is inventive, service is prompt, wine by the glass choice is excellent. We will return.

    We really wanted to support the local business but the overall experience was very average. The receptionist seemed very bothered as we checked in. We came here to try the DineLA menu and were told one of the three entrees they ran out…on a Friday night. The waiters were friendly though. Not sure if we will come back again.

    A bit disappointed after the rave reviews. Meal was okay, but not outstanding. We had Jamon Serrano con Pere e Burrata (poached pear a little too sweet and cinnamony), Crostino di Pane Rustico con Burrata a bit too sweet as well. Also had the Calamari Grigliati which was just okay. Pasta dishes were perfectly cooked but were just okay. We had two of the pasta specials along with the Linguini Mare e Monti and Tortelli di Patate e Fichi. Nice atmostphere outside if you don't mind a few metrolink trains passing throughout the evening. When walking through the restaurant, inside was loud and a bit stuffy. For the price, expected a little bit more.

    Great looking restaurant but our waiter was beyond rude. When we asked for options, he was short and answered no to everything. Our brunch took 50 minutes to get to the table and mine was completely overcooked. We asked twice for bread and our waiter responded “You should have ordered it when you ordered your food” - it was unpleasant and we went for a friends birthday.     So great to have a new restaurant open on a Monday night for a nice meal! I had an excellent negroni and caprese salad, along with a tasty eggplant pasta dish and very nice glass of Bordeaux. My friend had the lamb and really enjoyed it. The noise level was quite high, so I'd recommend they get an acoustics expert to help mitigate that. I'd also like to see a slightly bigger menu with more vegetarian options, and some seasonal cocktails, but those are minor points, I look forward to returning.

    Disappointed that they offered little in the way of a salad. Service was good, but not very friendly or encouraging. This was an early evening Easter Sunday dinner . We felt rushed. Why? The restaurant was not very crowded. The food was tasty, though the vegetables were a bit too undercooked- it was hard to cut them. The pappardelle with lamb ragù was very good, but no side vegetables at all. Disappointing and, frankly, surprising. The Chilean sea bass was well-prepared and quite tasty, but the quantity was not up to the price charged. The semifreddo was troppo freddo, in fact it was frozen so solidly that even the hot espresso for the affogato couldn’t soften it. When the spoon was placed in it to take a bite. the hard-as-a-rock wouldn’t “give”, so the espresso spilled out all over on the table. We were especially offended at being required to pay for the server’s benefits as well as offer a tip at an inflated rate. The staff should be paid a living wage, which clearly the management can afford considering the remarkably high prices for menu items . We had a nice enough time at Piccolo in So Pas, but we weren’t really made to feel all that welcome, we felt it too expensive for what we received, and we agreed we’d not be returning to dine there.     For a nice night out, we've been wanting to try Piccolo for a while. OpenTable was glitchy, but we snagged a reservation. The restaurant was lively but not swamped, and the service was friendly and good. We really enjoyed our dinners, and found Piccolo's version of calamari to be especially tasty. The ambience on the terrace was fine, but it got a bit dark after sunset.

    My birthday dinner was a bit disappointing. We had previously dined on the patio, but since it was a bit chilly, we ate inside. Big mistake because it was quite noisy. We had previously enjoyed a bargain bottle of Prosecco rose for $36, but they were out in spite of it being on their website menu. Settled for two glasses of sparkling wine for $38, more than a whole bottle of the Prosecco. The waiter arrived to tell us about the specials in a strong accent. After he left, we looked at each other and said “Didn’t understand a word.” We each had an appetizer and pasta course which were very good but quite filling. One would need to be very hungry to go on to a main course. Up to this point no one had mentioned my birthday, but two waiters asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu. We declined and were preparing to leave, when a nice dessert arrived with a candle. So the evening ended on a good note.

    The new brunch menu is delicious - so many things we want to try. We sat outside on the adorable patio. We will be back now that the weather is warming up. The service was fantastic too! Best brunch spot in the Pasadena area!

    Everything was great, but the back patio has so much potential. Just needs to be cleaned and tidied up. I think it was just a little unkept because of the recent rainy weather. Would be amazing to have the sound/look of a water fountain there. Otherwise everything was wonderful for our Sunday brunch.

    Service was attentive. Food was ok. My fish special was undercooked, full of bones and somewhat tasteless. My friend had the spinach gnocchi in meat sauce. When they didn’t offer Parmesan, we asked for it and received a ramekin of powdered dried Parmesan. The former restaurant at this location, Crossings, was one of our favorites.     This is the second time I’ve been to Piccolo. The first time my friend made the reservation and I was delighted with the menu and the service. I couldn’t make up my mind because everything looked so amazing on the menu. I had the watercress,avocado and hearts of palm salad which was delightful and the pasta special with black truffles which was lovely. This time I made the reservation through Open Table and made a note that it was my friend’s birthday. This night I had the Crudo (fabulous) and we both had the rack of lamb. I would have preferred the lamb without sauce but my friend loved it as prepared. The service was very attentive but there was never any acknowledgement of her birthday. I would have given them five stars on all questions but I’m not sure why the question about “special occasion “ is asked if nobody pays any attention to it.

    our party had a 95 y o who had t negotiate 3 flights of stairs; no elevators nor warning we have to ask for a first floor table. Food was ok: had calamari which was tough, had pork chop overcooked and tough, the sea bass was good but the vegetables that came with it was not edible.
