Basically we have been their before so thought we would return for our anniversary.ee travelled from hythe Kent. Our food was not hot and my steak and kidney had a stainish smell.fishy ..like on the turn..we brought it to the waitresss attention..she was nice.then it took a turn the worst when the manager intervened.she was more defensive and interested in getting drinks money rather than believe us.she also spoke to waitresss in a language I didn't understand ...rude.i regret giving this review as it was a massive hit time before
Perfect comfort food for a cold winter's day.
Was just a lovely meal so tasty
Fantastic service and food, a great place to eat... Dont miss out on some tantalising tasty pies!
This is the second time we have eaten at Piebury Corner (following a recommendation from a family member). On both occasions we have really enjoyed our meal.
Great food, nice cocktails and excellent value for money. Loads of veg and vegan options
The pies might look small at first but they're actually the perfect size to enjoy with a side without feeling bloated at the end of the meal.
The place looks great, it's like an American diner where you eat pies instead of burgers. And there was an awesome playlist playing in the background :)
The pies and scotch eggs are delicious. I would definitely go back.
Not a bad option if you are in the area - the food tastes freshly cooked and the basic prices are good. That said, by the time you've paid extra for gravy, sides, a drink and service charge it's not exactly as super-cheap as it first appears.
Was actually our “first” experience with typical English food. We enjoyed was a pleasant experience.
This was an ideal place to meet up with family at short notice on a Friday night. It was quite lively owing to the time of day but the staff were friendly and attentive. Having initially thought this would be a reasonably priced dinning experience, the bill did shoot up as the "main dish" - the pie (which we felt was a little on the small side) - comes with no extras, so when you add mash for £4, peas for £3 and £1.25 for gravy this puts it on a par with most gastro pub prices. On the whole everyone enjoyed the food, but for me it failed to tick all the boxes and the sides especially were nothing special.
I showed up at the restaurant after booking a table with OpenTable, and the restaurant was closed. I don't know what, but something went wrong in the process.
Hi Bruno, The Kings Cross restaurant is open seven days a week, did you go to our other cafe in Holloway by any chance? If thats the case you're being a bit unfair leaving a one star review.
I'm not going to say it was overpriced for what it is, that would be unfair!! Yes... you can get pie, mash and peas for around £6 at many a place... but at Piebury, you get top quality pies finished off with great sides, and of course you're in London so expect to pay more anyway (blame our useless government and councils for that in general) so overall it was fair all round.
Couldn't find a fault with anything... food good, drink good, service good!! Basically, all you need for a nice meal.
Great service and good food. The Scotch Pie was a real taste of home.
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it.
Polite and quick. Wonderful
great atmosphere, great food and service - we will be going back agin soon
Fun place but the food wasn’t great. The pies didn’t taste fresh and were a bit bland in flavour- but the staff and ambience was casual and it is very cheap.
My fave pie emporium along with the Holloway Road shop. The pies are award winning awesome, served with mash and red wine gravy, they are the tops. Just wish my visits weren't limited to match days.
I have already recommended to friends. I would like there to be more vegetarian scotch eggs though as they had run out.
Generous size and extremely tasty pie. The roast potatoes are very satisfying and you get plenty. Fantastic gravy served in its own jug. I cannot imagine a better place to eat pies
No scotch eggs which was disappointing but the pies were delicious! Cheese and onion pie was our fave yum yum. Great place for lunch.
Nice pies, just the right amount too, not too heavy for lunch even with the mash
Stopped in on my way to the Eurostar. Friendly welcome , great service, delicious food, and a cracking soundtrack. :) Will visit again next time I’m in the area.
What a great pie shop! We’ve been to London and have had our full of pies but this was great and the customer service was amazing! Had no idea this little gem was so close to our Hotel (Renaissance St Pancras)! Highly recommend!
Great food, but having booked a table for an allotted time I was surprised to turn up and every table was in use. In fact I’m not sure it functioning as a cafe with booked tables. Also the pictures depicted on the website are not true images of the place. Very small with a cafe atmosphere not how it looks in the pictures at all.
Excellent food and amazing value for money - the only thing is that the music was a bit loud!
The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was very efficient. Perfect location and a lovely quaint restaurant.
Good food, good service, the people who work there are so nice! Thanks Jen! Definitely one of my favorite spots in London :)
Amazing pies and great service. The place has acceded our expectations.
Not impressed. Food was ordered but the sides arrived cold. Husband sent his back but his returned after I’d finished mine and still wasn’t massively hot. No check back to see if we wanted extra drinks, no invitation for a dessert. Paid up and left
Great place to eat in Kings Cross! Pies, sausage rolls and scotch eggs all the best I have tried in London. Would recommend sharing portion of potatoes between two people though, as huge portions!
We had pork, apple and stuffing pie and jerk chicken pie with mash and red wine gravy which was absolutely delicious and can’t wait to try the many other pies on the menu. The toffee apple pie was very disappointing as the toffee was nonexistent and the gluten free pastry not nearly as good as their normal pastry. We felt the beer was quite expensive and we weren’t offered tap water with the meal. The bill was confusing and didn’t match the menu prices. The background music was very odd! Having said all that the main course was excellent and good value so we will definitely be eating there again.
Went there because it offered gluten free options. Really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere!
Great table, great service, great food. You can’t go wrong here.
Wanted a true pie experience- this was definitely the place to go for it! Absolutely delicious and great a atmosphere!
Good food with a good choice even for my Veggie wife. Due to large portion of mash ended up being a filling lunch, you will definitely need to add mash & at least 1 or 2 extra veg. It disappointing that you have to pay extra for gravy, really this should come as part of the meal.
Like the decor & music, retro for the young & my era for those with vintage.
Would definitely visit again when in area.
Amazing steak and ale pie. The Thisle cross cider they had as a staff recommendation was wonderful. Quick service and close to Kong’s across station
Great pit stop on the way to somewhere else as its a diner type restaurant. Great ambience, friendly service. The pie averages out about £7 but you need to add sides of mash, carrots etc to make it into a meal. We tried a venison and oxtongue, chicken and leek with mash, carrots. All tasty. Cherry pie - custard and a banoffee to finish. Beer and wines choice ok though not many beers on draught. Five - 10 mins walk from kings x.
Bit disappointing. The pie was small. Ok but nothing special
