Beautiful restaurant - a buzz from the time you walk in. Local seafood used - A1
The food was amazing and matched with a great view
Great food & service. Highly recommend Pier 33……..
Picked this restaurant for a special dinner - wouldn’t drake that mistake again again! The basic decor, and especially the grumpy service, didn’t meet the expectations created by the slick website or thoughtful menu.
My partner and I shared our first anniversary dinner at Pier 33, the food was lovely (mostly) and the staff were reasonably attentive. Ordered a side of fries that were undercooked (only slightly) but the entree and mains were delicious. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the table placement and noise, we were seated in what seemed to be a main thoroughfare to the deck area which appeared to hosting a xmas part. The adjoining group function was extremely loud meaning we could hardly hear each other while trying to have a conversation or hear the waitstaff. In saying that, we still had a lovely evening celebrating our special night. I suspect the noise isn’t an issue mid week or at a less festive time of year. All in all a really nice place
Nice look to the place and appreciate the Covid conditions required tables to remain at a distance, but the service team we less than inviting. In fact we needed to repeatedly request to clean up a spill near our table (not made by us - something that occur prior to us sitting down). They lacked any enthusiasm or care about their conduct. Essentially if they don’t want to be there - then they shouldn’t be representing your brand. No likely to be back in a hurry.
Service at the bar was slow and we were ignored by multiple bar staff. Also interesting to have my dinner plate removed whilst still eating. Wait staff didn’t seem to be enjoying her night.
Meal portions were very small for the price. Went away still hungry. Service was excellent.
Average, for a seafood restaurant you'd think there would be more than 1 fish option. Every meal had an obvious fault. It wasn't terrible but no reason to return. Seems like a nice place to catch up with friends if you're not too fussy.
The dining experience was sensational... could not fault it at all. The wine recommendation from the staff was perfect in completing our dinner menu choice. Thank you for making our night! Look forward to our next night out there.
We are regulars as have a boat in the marina. We met friends who were in overnight after being out at sea for a few weeks. Food and service always good however I had the fillet steak with prawns this time and was disappointed. Steak was drowned in oil and for the price I have had much better at home. Husband and daughter had the special rib fillet which they said was beautiful. The music was extremely loud as well and I would strongly recommend the owners consider installing some sort of sound absorbing materials as the noise factor is one reason why we don’t eat here more often.
As usual delicious food and good service in a great location
The ambiance is great and the staff and service e is very good but the food was very disappointing . We started with a dozen kilpatrick oysters, unfortunately they were not so good, I think a jelly type of sauce out of a jar was warmed up and just poured over the oysters with a touch of bacon, so thick and sweet. We also had the scallops with lime sauce , prawns and calamari and a bowl of fries. The fries were excellent!
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Will definitely be back.
We were seated in the darkest corner right next to the toilets and kitchen despite being early for our reservation. We asked for a little bit more time to decide what we would order but apparently a little bit of time meant a further 15 minutes before anyone took our order. We weren’t asked again if we wanted a second drink.
We waited almost 45 minutes for our food to come out AFTER having to flag down a waitress because no one had come to check on us. We notice a table that was seated probably 30 minutes after we had arrived received their food well before we had. The food was great but not for the price.
Lovely fresh seafood, prompt, friendly and professional service and lovely outlook over the marina, have been many times and will be back for more
Pier 33 was a fantastic venue. Staff were quick and light. The menu are second to none at all dishes tasted amazing. I will be definitely back again!
Great spot and nice look and feel. Service was good but our waitress seemed flat. Most of our food was good. We ordered 6 different dishes to share. The pick was the Kingfish Crudo. The dissapointment was the Truffled Mac and Cheese with Moreton Bay Bug. At $29 it was a small portion of uninspired Mac and cheese with half a small dry bug sitting on top. This dish if done right could become a signature.
Small share dishes were great but the mains were a let down, especially for the price
Everything was amazing. Compliments to the chef. Great service from the staff. Tasty cocktails. 10/10
Not sure what happened, but the standard in food has dropped yet the prices have increased?
Great food and views , staff also wonderful. Prawn brioche is a must try.
Pier 33 is good. Nothing too special here though. Food is good but expensive. The place has tried to be fancy but it’s sort of strange. Had expectations it would be like Bistro C but not close to it at all. Maybe would be better for lunch.
Pleasant outlook and ver roomy (no problem with a pram).
Let me start with what we liked, great food & amazing decor & view. However was disappointed with the poor service. Had to pour our own wine several times, could have easily ordered more wine but there was a total absence of any service and after we finished our main meal there was no follow up for dessert, coffee or extras like cheese. My preference is always to provide feedback direct to the restaurant rather than to post on social media, but when we told the waitress we were disappointed in the service, we got a polite “sorry”, no further questions and she walked away after processing our bill.
Very good food, lovely location. Lovely waitress, however we waited quite a while for service. Could have ordered more drinks but we had to wait 15 minutes before our first drink order, and only returned to our table once in between courses for us to request more drinks. Her recommendation of the Velvet Sky cocktail was on the money - one of the best cocktails I have had in a long time. Attended on a Weds night, not hugely busy. The bug and sun crab fettuccine was delicious, the blood orange pannacotta was not very nice- organs flavour gel too sharp and custard very bland. Crispy pork belly and calamari entrees were very good. A pleasant dining experience overall.
Beautifully prepared and presented food, friendly and helpful staff in a pleasant marina setting. Much better than our previous visit. We'll definitely return.
The ambience was good until 25 golfers arrived and were seated beside us. Their joy and laughter made it difficult for us to have a quiet conversation. Perhaps if we had known they were coming we would have asked to be seated further away.
We will go back again as the location is excellent, the service is outstanding and the food very good.
The food was delicious. Service good and location great. Will definitely go back.
The only thing I would personally recommend is do not go there. Waited 1 hour for food and it wasn’t as busy. Called in the afternoon to change our booking from 7 people to 8 people, was told it was so busy and would be hard to do however the restaurant was quiet when we got there and throughout the night. Our bill came and we had items on it that we hadn’t ordered. The only highlight besides getting to spend time with friends, was our waitress whose name we’ve forgotten. With the amount of money you pay, you would expect that the service would be better.
One of the best restaurants in Mooloolaba. High quality cuisine, friendly service and great atmosphere.
Enjoyed a great dining experience at Pier 33. Excellent food and signature wines. I will be going back when I next visit Mooloolaba.
I should of read the reviews before booking. I took my husband there for his 50th Birthday. We were seated in a corner facing the windows to look out to the marina, but it was felt very stuffy. It was very loud inside. My husband could not hear anything I said. We couldn't get out of there quick enough.
The food was ok, but a tad pricey for what we got.
We wouldn't go again when we are staying up the Coast. No issues with our waiter, he was attentive.
Lovely ambience, food was amazing and the service brilliant. Couldn't ask for better.
Outstanding dining experience. Great food and great people. Thank you.
Great food and service, thanks
Wedding anniversary lunch and everything was beautiful, from being greeted on arrival, to eating THE most delicious fettucini and enjoying the hustle and bustle around us. We will be back!!
We were celebrating a birthday and this was our first visit & won’t be our last. Had a wonderful lunch, food was amazing & service first class. Thank we had a great lunch. Thank you
Lovely place, a little bit too loud for us, we were after something a little more romantic, the service was great, the food was stunning, only disappointment was dessert, we had sticky date pudding and it wasn't worth $18. So will stick to other meals next time as they were beautiful. Will definitely go again but not for a romantic meal better for larger crowds. Thanks
The food was great but the level of noise unbearable. No value for money at all. Truly something needs to be done to fix the noise. Horrendous.
