Pietro's Italian - Walnut
Great food and space for larger parties! The portions are large and great for sharing!
Delicious food! Really nice atmosphere!
Great spot right near Rittenhouse Sq and terrific pizza. If interested, cauliflower crust was delicious.
Usually the food and service is excellent but this time the service was terrible. I was sitting for 30 mins before my drink or bread came out and the waitress abandoned the table for the last hour and a never checked on me smh. Food was good though
My boyfriend and I ate here for a date night and each loved our food! The outdoor dining was nice and the service was quick. Would definitely go back.
Food was very good however, disappointed in the portion size. Spaghetti and meatballs had about a woman's palm size of spaghetti. Service was slow however, it was busy.
A family visit promoted this dinner. The menu was varied and satisfied our guest with special diets. We had one vegan with a gluten sensitivity and a few vegans. Everyone ate well. Our waiter, Ryan, was awesome. The pace of the meal was well timed and everything including his recommendations were delicious. We had a variety of pizza, pastas, appetizers. All delicious.
Finished up with chocolate mousse. Yum!!
We will be back.
The food was incredible. The service was slightly slow but the meal made it worth the wait. I really enjoyed every dish we had.
We ate outdoors and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. I especially like the beet salad and the roasted vegetables.
Pietro's is the place to go for great pizza at a reasonable price with very good service.
Always great food, great staff and an enjoyable atmosphere.
Walk in, I’m asked if I have a reservation. I said no. Hostess tells me they aren’t doing any walk ins because they are short staffed and only will accommodate those with a reservation. So we leave. Outside I go to the restaurants website, make a reservation for fifteen minutes from that point in time. Walk around the block to kill time, come back, I’m asked if I have a reservation, I say yes, she remembers who I am, seems annoyed, seats us and the rest was fine. There has to be a better process than what they are offering to accommodate walk ins if you can just go outside and make a reservation.
Amazing meals!!! Great service from Christian. We can’t wait to go back
Service was great!
I have been gong to Pietro's for years, and this was the least satisfying. I guess it was just a bad night and they were busy and shorthanded. The food was fine, but not the service. We were splitting everything, and (a) we did not get extra plates until we asked again, and there was a delay; (b) we asked for salad dressing on the side and we had to ask after the salad was served and there still was a delay; (c) the did not offer cheese for the pasta until we asked for it (still took a while); and (d) there was a delay after we asked for the check. Still, it is generally a good place and we will try it again.
Things are tough right now in the service industry so I really try to keep that in mind. However, as someone who worked several years in the service industry, feedback is really important to give for things that shouldn't have been missed and the experience was just disappointing for what I paid. When we arrived, the host confirmed I booked my reservation was for outside when I didn't. I didn't mind the error but her approach was a little tense when I said I didn't. She ended up apologizing when I showed her my confirmation on my phone but the interaction was a bit off.
I also noted on the reservation we were celebrating a birthday, mentioned it two times in front of the server, and there was no type of recognition/offering/comp done. Just odd that there wasn't anything done for the birthday, even a "happy birthday" from the server.
The calamari was flavorless. Also odd that you don't include lemons to squeeze on it. We would have asked the server but she was gone for long periods of time.
In addition to the long periods she was gone, my boyfriend's water wasn't filled once during the meal until we had dessert. What was worse was that the person I assumed was a manager (based off the way they were dressed) delivered our dessert and didn't offer to fill the empty water glass that we had intentionally placed on the outside of the table to be noticed.
We had to ask for a dessert menu as the server didn't offer it and just assumed we were ready for a check. Again, terrible to experience with a birthday celebration.
For a $120 meal, it just really wasn't up to par. Again, things are rough right now for the industry, but with a price tag attached to things - filling a water glass and recognizing a birthday shouldn't go unnoticed.
The food was excellent. Service was quick and friendly!
Excellent food. Great service. Nice vibe. We sat outside in the covered tent. It was nicely decorated and had a very nice ambience. We will be back!
You need big tables to serve family style. Service staff should give better recommendations on portions. The family size is huge. However if you have 4 people and they tell you to choose between small and family size it can be misleading. If you have 4 people order the small plates.
Went in yesterday for lunch with a friend. Our service was awesome and that’s the best part of this review. The food was unfortunately bland. The caprese appetizer was the best part of my meal, but there was no salt, no pepper. The chicken parm lacked flavor and I couldn’t eat it. Our server was nice enough to take it and I ordered the fried mozzarella and even they were lackluster. No seasoning within the breading. Not the best experience - makes sense as to why we were the only table in the outdoor area the whole time we were there.
Delicious food, great drinks, reasonably priced, excellent service!!
Great service excellent pizza!!!
We went for a late dinner, 8pm, and were seated towards the back of the restaurant. As the evening progressed the restaurant remained crowded. The servers were attentive and explained several of the menu options. We split a Caesar salad that easily could have been a meal for one of use. The dressing was particularly tasty. We got the fettuccine Alfredo and chick Parmesan. Both were delicious and healthy portions that we couldn’t finish. Our only complaint would be that the rolls were kinda lacking in flavor.
Food was great, ambience was great, server was great. I went with my family but it looked to be more of a restaurant for larger groups of friends to frequent.
Quiet relaxed atmosphere.
I have been dining at Pietro’s going on four years. A lot of workers are very polite, and really take the time to give a good experience to the customers. The Manager Dave is great! The food is out of this world! Cauliflower Pizza crust is a great dish.
Great place to dine and the manager Dave is a amazing person .. we’re regulars here
As always the food was fantastic! Whenever we are in town we have to get a meal at Pietro’s!
We sat outdoors and the decor was lovely! They also brought water for our puppy, which was appreciated. The food was delicious and we always love eating here!
We shared a salad and a “large” pizza- $60 including tip- pricey for these items…. Yes. We only drank water. They were both good but $30 for a pizza seems overpriced. Service was slow but I expect that now with the labor issues. We liked it and will go back but expect to pay more than usual for a pizza.
Really nice server, food was delicious. Big portions
Great pizza and calamari but also nice chicken Cesar salad. Surprisingly good selection of Italian wines
We ate outside because of Covid. Rhe pizza was very good and the service also good.
The place is spaced out and in a nice location. Perhaps being so big is what makes it really noisy. The fish was very good and fresh; the pasta somewhat more disappointing - a bit on the heavy side and not particularly authentic (the eggplant Parmesan is made American style.) But it’s a good place for sharing some food with friends and family.
The food was great and the service was incredible. This is a go to place for us and this experience lived up to the quality standard they have long maintained. The only criticism I might have is that the acoustics make for a very loud, echoey space. In all, it was an excellent meal and we will definitely be back.
Dined outside recently on a rare gorgeous July day in Philadelphia! Pizza (burrata cheese, pistachio, arugula, mortadella and honey) was excellent; appetizers (fried cauliflower and calamari) also very good. The experience was kind of sullied by a panhandler who interrupted our dinner and became aggressive and hostile when we politely turned down his ask for a meal. The waitstaff did not intervene and ask him to leave. Not the restaurant’s fault per se but unpleasant nonetheless.
My baked ziti was a 1 out of 10. Not very yummy. The Risotto dish 9 out of a 10. The pizza gets a 9. The spaghetti with meatballs gets a 1 from my 7 year old. Meatballs too dry. The Tiramisu gets a 1. It was too wet and not very tasty. The vanilla gelato gets a 7 from by 7 year old. We at in the outdoor dinning which was okay. The server was nice. Felt a little rushed. The appetizers came with the main course.
Delicious food in a cute and romantic setting. The outdoor seating is decorated so cute. You forget and do not notice that the seating is on the busy Walnut St.
That was my second time there and i loved it .. The Peach Bellini was amazing .
