Ping Pong St Christopher's Place
Really nice location, tasty dumplings and good service
Food was cold, not enough space on table, poor value for money spent
Great place for a relaxed Sunday lunch!
It was quite a lovely evening! Never been to this branch before and it was well nice. Definitely recommend!
You can’t put your stuff anywhere I ate my dinner with my coat on my lap eventhough the bigger table which they said was reserved never came
Loved and enjoyed the vegan lunch menu. The service was really good.
Pleasantly surprised by value of the lunch baskets - I had vegan one, which came with 7/8 dumplings and stickyrice for £9.95. Food came quick - the tumeric dumplings especially yummy! It was quiet - less than half seats taken at 12.30 on a Friday - option to also have a table downstairs for larger groups / privacy. Great location too.
Decent good value
Food and service were great! It was just a bit noisy, but I'm not sure there is anything you can do about this. :)
Forgot one whole set of the order and then had the gall of charging 12.5% discretionary service!
Girlie catch up, perfect venue
Food was great, service was a tad surly with an apparent frustration that we hadn’t been before so didn’t know how to order... otherwise was enjoyable!
This Ping Pong location is usually my choice and I have been here several times. Service was good and always a fan of the food.
Bad service. Food was just ok.
Great food and good service - separate allergen menus are very helpful for those with allergies. Would go back.
Good catch up with a friend.
Food was really good and our waitress was really kind. However the restaurant was almost empty but we had to share our table with someone who was on the phone during the whole dinner. It was really annoying to have someone FaceTiming and speaking really loud. We asked to change table and apparently everything was booked but until we left restaurant was empty. Quite disappointed as we could not talk and enjoy our dinner
Delicious, and great vegetarian variety!
Up to Ping Pong’s standard! Love the dim sum, always.
The staff were very accommodating when we were having trouble with the heating fan blowing into us. Very kind to have switched it off :-)
Great dim sum.. good value for money.. consistently good quality. Would recommend
Small space right off Oxford but loved the ambiance. We went mainly with bao and dumpling choices. We (2 adults,2kids) thought the flavors were good, unlike some other reviews. Only knock is we wanted a broader selection of dumplings to choose from. Service was attentive but not overbearing.
Loved it we will be back
Great family lunch at ping pong as usual
It was great and very welcoming.
Just a bit average to disappointing overall. After hearing lots about it from friends it just fell short. The dim sum is far from authentic and some of it wasn’t good at all. Some portions served as 3 items which I’ve never seen before as they should be 4. Chicken pot dish heavily over cooked so it was like eating cardboard. The downstairs ‘dungeon’ is depressing. Btw, I’m Chinese and I really don’t get what they’re trying to do. As for mixing Chinese dish terms with Japanese, it’s simply insulting.
The restaurant door was kept open the whole night and weather was chilly outside. When I requested the hostess to close the door, she mentioned it get stuffy inside so refused to close the door.
I love dining at Ping Pong where the dim sums are delish and the staff is always extremely friendly. I do recommend to book in advance, and to avoid dining in the basement room where there can be loud big tables! Upstairs is always more quiet as there are no large group tables available.
Perfectly decent but quite noisy and new menu a bit disappointing. Was seduced by the free cocktail but slightly let down by the food and ambience. Decent place for a quick bite though
I Love the food at ping pong and the service is also very good. However, it would be much better if there were better toilets.
It was nice. Menu could use more variety. Otherwise all was good!
Very nice food but venue looks a little old, toilets are dirty, ambience lacking downstairs.
Food was amazing. I’ve been there before but I wasn’t asked if I knew how to order so my friend was a bit lost. Great great food as always. For 2 people having a light dinner, with no wine. It cost us £28
Warm welcome on arrival and seated promptly. Waitress was very attentive... asked if we had an allergy. Pointed out a limited selection of Gluten Free items (gf) on menu. Order was taken for drinks and starter... drinks arrived quickly followed by food. Very attentive staff throughout our visit. Food was hot fresh and very tasty. Very Enjoyable experience and would have no hesitation to recommend.
This place never disappoints. Good food and quick service
our waitress was really not good (service) she made us wait ages to get informations about the menu or salt&pepper, she wasn't speaking English really well and when she was stopping by she was talking for ages even tried to change our order !
I do love a good bit of DimSum and Ping Pong is always a solid place to come to get it.
Atmosphere in the place is always great.
Service was superb too, and the food didn't disappoint.
Some people like to avoid the chains, and most of the time so do I, but Ping Pong doesn't feel as chainy as the rest, and the food is up there with taste so will definitely be coming back.
