I've written a review of Pita Paradise before but I wanted to review again because I'm grateful their doors are open during this nutty time and want to give them a little love. I especially like restaurants that are working to make it a natural and welcoming experience, which they did. We sat on the patio which feels very nice and secluded with all the bordering plants. We had the Caesar salad, which isn't typical because Pita puts their touch on it with cucumbers and tomatoes and it's really even better than the standard. Also had the veggie pita sandwich which is delicious. But the pièce de résistance was the Baklava ice cream cake which my husband and I basically *gently* fought over. Service was good and friendly, and when a couple of other tables filled in, you could pretend things were normal.
First time for two of us but came highly recommended by the rest of our party.
Chris our server and bartender was friendly and very attentive. Kept our drinks ordered and food served hot and fresh. Will definitely return.
Always outstanding food and service, I highly recommend!
ambience is outstanding; they celebrate good seafood...need two choices for dinner; Italian dishes disappoint. Nice place and we want them to survive restaurant's disaster here without visitors
Delicious food and drinks!
We can’t wait to come back!
It is a treat to dine in again. The food is excellent as is the service.
Very respectful of COVID social distancing. Felt safe being in a restaurant again.
We eat at Pita Paradise about every month or so. We have NEVER been disappointed with the food or service. The ambiance is comfortable, whether out on the patio or inside. Our favorites are anything with the lamb (like the Lamb Salad or a Gyro) but everything is fresh and so ono. They get super fresh fish from their owner who goes out fishing and supplies his own restaurants. I highly recommend Pita Paradise!!!
Food was bland and average...I grew ip on Greek food! Our server was polite but didn’t seem like she wanted to be waiting on us! Really wanted to like this place but it was a disappointment. Nice setting but it stops there. Worst meal of our two weeks on Maui.
The dinner menu is just ok. There is not much choice if you are not into the one fish special of the day which has been sword fish. The lamb pasta was not good and the lamb Kabob was plain and uninspiring.
Nice happy hour with food discounts
Good food. Good value. Quaint and cute. Would recommend
We order drinks, wine and meals. After waiting 25-30 minutes, we received in the following order: the wine, the meals and finally our drinks ! We refused the drinks that we expect to receive in first place, quickly after ordering them !!!
Great food. Fair service
We usually love Pita, but are afraid that since they have started a sister restaurant about a year + ago that they would begin to ignore this one and quality would go down. Just a little, and only recently we have noticed a bit of a decline. But they were short staffed so that could have been the issue. Fish was not as plentiful as usual. They need to change up the menu a little. Same for years. We are local, so we notice this more maybe than others. Still a favorite of ours. Love the fresh fish kabobs and the Mediterranean salad, the mushroom appetizer is excellent with pita. The gyro is great too!!
We have never been disappointed here!
We’ve been to happy hour and dinner and everything was perfect each time.
Excellent food, and amazingly fast service
Excellent food, service and price. Went with friends who had never been there. They were pleasantly delighted by the experience
Well donE Pita Paradise
Stick with the fish, Italian meals are not their strength. Had the chiefs special it was excellent.
Great food. Great Staff. Always a treat to catch the music with the Benoits. We always come in when we are on Maui.
The name does not represent the food choices. Excellent food topped off with an amazing desert (baklava ice cream cake)
Party of seven. Very nice evening. Server was attentive and fun. Food was excellent.
Had a very pleasant evening catching up with a girlfriend in a quiet corner of the outdoor dining area. Our server was courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. He was also funny which made our evening more enjoyable. The food was delicious - except there was a bit too much salad dressing on my Caesar salad.
The fish may have been "fresh caught", but it was overcooked (not 'seared') and wasn't of the quality I had hoped. I ordered the ahi kebob and my wife ordered the lamb gyro. Both dishes had the same accompanying rice, vegetables and pitas. There doesn't seem to be much variety in the menu. On the plus side, the wait staff was pleasant and attentive.
Service was a bit hit and miss, drinks took about 20 mins to arrive, menu selection good but fish overcooked, desert excellent
Delicious and very attentive to food allergies! Outside seating is ridiculously loud. A big truck pulled up and parked, leaving the engine running the entire time we had lunch. Unbelievable! He should have been asked to leave. We couldn’t speak across the table because of the noise.
Great find after a horrible experience at Monkeypod. We ate here two times it was so good . Everything tasted very clean and fresh. Portion size is just right at reasonable prices . Will go back to best deal on Maui . And sending all our friends.
Have always loved Pita Paradise. On this visit, not one had ever been to Pita Paradise. They had just moved to Maui and took my suggestion to meet at Pita Paradise. Everyone enjoyed the lunch, the food, the ambience and the conversation. My favorite dish is Mediterranean Chicken Pita. Yum.
Good food and service
Good value and live music was nice touch
We live nearby and enjoy eating at Pita Paradise. I almost always choose the seafood special of the day or the Mediterranean Fish salad but this time I chose the lamb gnocchi and I have a new favorite! The gnocchi were perfect little pillows and very tasty, the lamb was delicious, but the star of the the show was the sauce from the lamb. It was rich and very flavorful. Perfect for those “winter” Maui evenings when you want something to warm you up!
This is an excellent restaurant and a very welcome change from the standard Hawaiian fare. We ate from the Greek-oriented side of the menu and the food was delicious. Also nice, quiet atmosphere. The food, service, and atmosphere where all superior to its next door neighbor, Monkey Pod.
Always a reliable and delicious meal and great service!
Was very average. No special flavors in our meals. Best part of the meal were the employees.
From front desk check in to dinner everything was wonderful. We sat outside in their small patio area. The did a wonderful job hiding the fact you were in a mall. Apparently the owner goes out each morning and if he catches anything the add it to the menu. It was swordfish the night we went. My husband had the kabobs and loved it. Don’t be fooled by the name or location, it was delicious!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The entree salads were delicious and the fresh catch outstanding. And Karen, our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Great value too! Thank you!
Food was good but not amazing. Rice was overcooked and chicken was dry but the flavors were good in general.
