Great place to go, especially with a bigger group. Great UofM ambiance and good food
The quality of food was just ok and the price was on the higher side for the quality. Just an ok experience. Will not be going again
Always great. Food was tasty and caramel out pretty fast.
Had lunch there yesterday with a group of friends - we had 6 in our party. Our server was great and so was the food. We were also impressed with the steps the management is taking to keep everyone safe. I marked noise level "moderate" only because we chose to sit outside and there was a lot of truck activity on the street - obviously not PH's fault.
This was the first time this group of friends has seen other since before the lockdown, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Pizza House!
Brian was a great server. The bread stix were light and delicious. The Chicago-style pizza was very good. We visited during the Corona virus scare but were very comfortable. The entire facility was clean. The medium pizza with one topping was over $25 - delicious, but a little pricey. We would return. We made a reservation on Open Table to be sure of our seating, which under the circumstances was unnecessary.
Chicago style deep dish pizza was amazing! Normally, I don’t add Italian sausage to my pizza, but the combination of pepperoni, Italian sausage and spinach was perfect.
They will seat you near the door when the rest of the restaurant is empty. This night the weather was very cold (single digits). Never warmed up in this restaurant. Every time customers came or left the open doors would bring in very cold air. Our booth was exposed to the cold. Very disappointed since the rest of the restaurant was practically empty. The food was so so. Fish and chips very crunchy batter and over cooked. Spaghetti sauce was bland. Meatballs extra garlicky. Yuck. Bring on the Heartburn.
Went on a non-football weekend Friday night, not very busy. Food all looked like it had been taken from freezer and cooked. Perfectly round but mushy hamburger, uniform but boring onion rings. Fried fish clearly from a bag or a box direct from a distributor. Taco salad was a salad, some ground meat and a few corn chips. Not impressive, particularly for the prices. Frozen hamburger was $16, frozen fish and chips was $19. Frozen onion rings were $10.50. I think the only food they actually made was pizza dough for the chipati. Service was ok. Our ”inexpensive” and casual dinner for four (including 2 beers) was over $100. On our list of “never again.”
Food was amazing. Decent sized portions. Somewhat pricey. But overall a good experience.
We made our reservation the day before (online, after calling you, because we were told that no one was there to take our reservation (!) on that Friday night).
We arrived early, and were seated quickly. You were not at all busy. There was no warm smile or upbeat greeting at all. After being seated, we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and finally went looking for a waitress. We then waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for our orders to be taken (5 of us). When our food finally came, it was the right temperature, and very, very good. We told the waitress we knew we would need a couple take-home boxes. Then we waited and waited and waited till she brought them; one was too small for the pizza we ordered (didn't she have that size written on our order?). Then we waited and waited till a different waitress dropped off the correct size box.
Our guests with us had a difficult time navigating your very large (lots of yummy offerings) menu on the tech screen device; they said they wished they could keep an item in view that they were considering, and keep looking - preferred a paper menu. I agree with that.
The size of the salad our guests ordered and split was the same size, but higher price than the same one I ordered...we still can't figure that one out.
Your restaurant was a downer experience after looking forward to a good and fun dinner on our return from seeing STOMP.
Visited Pizza house before a Michigan basektball game. Service was great, location is great with parking garage nearby. Unfortunately the pricing/value of this place is just out of whack. 75 dollars for 2 calzones, cheese bread app, a kids ravioli, and two pops. Everything tasted fine, but no where near that value. Makes me sad to say I won't be back as this was a college treat.
Excellent onion rings. Not great selection of wines by the glass. Pizza selection/variety very good.
Huge selection, pleasant atmosphere, good food, friendly service. Incredibly overpriced. $24 for a bowl of iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of chicken and miscellaneous items on top. Madness.
Service was prompt, food was great!!
Best pizza in Ann Arbor - a must stop for a football weekend
Fun great food
Awesome pizza!!
Service was a bit slow even though it wasn't busy. We got the wrong pizza, ate it anyway.
Great service and food. Enjoyable dinner with relaxed atmosphere.
Excellent pizza. Fun family setting—not too much like a university bar. Very new, clean interior. Lots of big tables and booths.
Service is great, food is massively overpriced for the quality
Pizza House is my nostalgic favorite from my days at UofM. There is nothing like the original chipati! My niece was in town from University of Iowa, so we brought her here. I was shocked by the bill!!! $100 for 3 people ($120 with tip)! A small specialty pizza was nearly $22, a small original chipati was $12.50, and a specialty chipati was nearly $15! We were brought 22 oz beers without being offered a choice, so I assumed that was the only size. When I checked the menu online the next day, I saw that they offer pints and 22 oz...an option never mentioned by our server. One order of chipati bread (small size) was $8, which is ridiculous when you consider an entire chipati is $12.50. I hope that Pizza House can remember their roots when they were literally in a house and catered to STUDENTS. Looks like we're paying for their fancy restaurant and sign.
Great food excellent service. But very pricey for a pizza
This place was recommended... i was a little disappointed that it took approximately 2 hours for our entire dinner in and out. My food was okay...I just felt like for $100 the food and service would have been better.
Excellent! Met another couple for pizza and beer. Our server was outstanding and the deep dish crust was amazing!!!!
Came to watch a Michigan game with my grandson and his friend. Great pizza and appetizers. Awesome service. Refills on the drinks, no problem. Lots of TV’s to watch the games on. Great crowd. I’ll be back for sure.
Nice time watching college football in a college town. Attentive service, and nearby parking. Enjoyed the pizza.
Ann Arbor Staple! Good pizza - expensive, but good.
Best pizza in Ann Arbor. Had both the traditional and Sicilian - both were delicious.
