The spirit of Pizzeria Villaggio can be traced back to our traditional roots in Campobasso. A humble town filled with beautiful people in Southern Italy. Pizzeria Villaggio has been run by the Palladino family for the past 35 years. Borrowing our grandparent's recipes and adopting their love of good simple food combined with the Italian/Welsh values of creating a great family atmosphere, for all age groups has attributed to our success and longevity. In our pizzeria, there is a great range of carefully selected pizza and pasta dishes. We also run a daily specials menu that uses the finest, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients.

    Food - amazing! Service a bit slow at the start but great once orders were in. Just the place was so noisy I couldn’t hear myself or people at my table (of 5). Only downside. Loved it otherwise.

    Delicious food, attentive and polite staff and good atmosphere. Despite the mocking for ordering pineapple on my pizza, I’ll be back!!! The pizza was so good, the pasta dishes tasted great, and the varied menu made it hard to decide what to have. Would highly recommend the white chocolate profiteroles with the gorgeous chocolate mousse filling. Thank you Pizzeria Villaggio :)

    We booked lunch for hubby’s 65th birthday. The food was delicious, service was superb as always. All washed down with an excellent bottle of red wine. My only comment would be was it was a little chilly in there on this occasion but other than that - faultless.

    9th birthday celebration with 6 kids & 2 adults. We took balloons and own cake & candles. Great food & staff, fab place for families. Definitely recommend.

    Overall, love the place, its great food, great service, staff are exceptionally friendly and always make provisions when necessary!! :) the only thing I would change is the dark black wall, and the noise level, as the acoustics are really loud, where voices from tables are amplified to extremely high levels, sorry guys. But everything else is amazing!!

    It was my first visit to Pizzeria Villaggio and I was very pleased. Service was excellent, friendly and swift. Food arrived quick considering how busy it was, portion size was excellent and it tasted beautiful. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone.

    What wonderful value for money from a local, family-run restaurant which appears to go from strength to strength. We enjoyed 3 different pasta dishes, each one a really tasty and generous dish. The service was outstanding and we will be returning soon to enjoy another great Italian meal. The noise levels were high as it was so busy, which considering it was a Thursday night speaks volumes for the success and popularity of the restaurant. Book early to avoid disappointment.     The starters were good enough, tasty however the pizzas we ordered were really poor, ordered four seasons, vegetarian, palladino and calzone. 4 seasons especially was the most poor, way far from an authentic Italian pizza when you eat it in Italy. The guy who served us tried to comfort us as much as possible but the food didn't help him to be honest.

    Excellent service. Good knowledge and understanting of the importance of trying to avoid cross contamination of gluten in the kitchen. Varied menu. Food was delicious. Prices are good even before the lunch time discount. Lovely staff, and an enjoyable experience all round. Looking forward to the next visit.

    Much prefer the one in Lakeside. This was cold and noisy. The decor looks tired, and we'll worn. Service was great and food pretty good. Lots of salt and drinks were warm.

    Despite booking a table in the main restaurant area, our table was by the bar and front door, we were surrounded by people collecting takeaways and people walking past us all the time, My pizza was OK, one of the toppings was missing. A service charge was added automatically even though there were only two of us .

    Sublime food, service and ambiance. I would highly recommend you visiting. Definitely in the top 3 Italian restaurants in Cardiff. Had the Starter - Homemade meatballs Main - Calzone Dessert- Limoncello cheesecake But could have chosen at least another half a dozen different things off the menu If you like great Italian food Look no further!     Unwelcoming waitress. Took us into an uninviting dinning area. No lights on. Dark, cold. Music blaring. Had to ask to be moved to the front of the store where it was bright as sun was coming through the window. Food was rushed out to us. Pizza edges so thick for kids Pizza. Won't be going back.
