   This dining experience was poor. The service well well designed, it was spotty. The server would come to our table, but not remove excess dishes. The food, despite asking for simplicity, had excess garnish and undisclosed ingredients. For example, I would consider it necessary to disclose tomatoes in gnocchi. That’s not a typical ingredient. Finally, it was really cold. So much so we had to return to our vehicle to get our sweatshirts.

   Outstanding once again! We had the same server, Paul. He is a true professional. The only area that would make our experience better is to lower the music volume. Difficult talking over the music. Thank you again PLATE for a fantastic meal.

   We returned to Plate after a couple earlier great visits and were definitely glad that we did. The food was top notch and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to our server, Michele, who really made us feel at home.

   Everyone in my party enjoyed their dinner. I had Osso Bucco and it was outstanding. I was not impressed with the bed of polenta, however. We had the chocolate Bombe for dessert that was outstanding.

    Very torn on this review. The food is very good. The restaurant is beautiful. But past that there are issues. Water is served in very tiny glasses and in our case our server never checked on us - leaving us with most of our meal drink less. The value isn’t great. A nearby restaurant, very comparable in level serves my salmon dish for the same price but theirs comes with sides. For the cost you literally receive a smallish filet. Sides cost another $8.00. Total bill was 90.00+ for two small meals. No apps. The manager is friendly and very hands on but sadly never came back to check on us either. Just a suggestion - bigger glasses or more attentive servers.

    The food has always been good there, but in the beginning I thought they were overpriced. Now they charge about what any nice restaurant will. I really enjoyed my pasta meal! I will go back and keep them high on my list. I wish they had better beer, tho...and a good white Riesling wine.

    One of the best overall dining experiences! Server, Michelle, was welcoming, attentive, genuine, and clearly loves creating the guest experience. True example of luxury service. The food was absolutely delicious. The meatballs, truffle garlic bread, house made pasta, and KC strip is some of the best in Kansas City. The lemon ice cream sandwich was simply divine! You don't have to like lemon to enjoy this refreshing dessert, the perfect end to the savory dishes. Shout out to Pastry Master Talent Nikki! We can't wait to come back!

    John and the entire Plate Leawood crew did an exceptional job providing service for our group of 6. The cuisine was superb, atmosphere modern but still very classy. We will be back! Always get the garlic bread and some form of pasta. Secret excellence in the steaks!

    The food was fantastic! Juan our server is always a ROCK STAR! Everyone from the host to the General Manager treats their customers with friendly and professional care. Plate is our go-to for a great meal and great service.

    This was our first visit to Plate, and it was fantastic! Our server, Drake, was knowledgeable and attentive. We shared beef carpaccio as an appetizer, and it was wonderful. The pickled fennel was a great contrast to the beef and Parmesan cheese. I had the Caesar salad with homemade croutons which was wonderful! We shared the arrabbiatta pasta and each added a meatball; bother were amazing! We will definitely dine at :late again!!

    Excellent salad and halibut, Osso Boco was amazing and the Bombe was chocolate heaven. Drake gave great service and did a very nice job explaining the menu and in checking in with us.

    This was my second visit to Plate and the first time my dining companion and I had been to the Leawood location. Within moments of receiving our pear bruschetta appetizer we knew we would be back for another visit! The food was fabulous (we split the bruschetta and a side of the life-changing Brussels sprouts, with carbonara and the bacon pizza as entrees), and our server, Abby, was both very personable and very knowledgable about the menu, answering our food-related questions and providing helpful and detailed information about our wine selection. It was a wonderful, warm, welcoming experience, and I would recommend Plate to anyone!

    Great service, ambiance and food. I think this may be my new favorite restaurant! It was very good!!! If I had a single complaint it would be there was too much dressing on my salad. The mushroom risotto was amazing! The Osso Buco was soo good! Enough for two meals. Our server was the perfect level of attentive. Thank you Plate!

    The food was very, very good. The service was also great. Our only qualm were the drinks we ordered at the bar while waiting on our table. I ordered a dirty martini, which was just meh. My husband ordered an old fashion that was watered down by the ice cubes. Most upscale restaurants serve old fashions with a craft ice cube vs. multiple cubes that you would get in a water glass. Not the end of the world, just assumed the drinks would have matched the rest of the experience.

    It was Wednesday the 15th and it was obvious the staff was short handed due to the Chiefs parade. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant and our meal took at least 20 to 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered cocktails and was told there wasn’t a bartender to the arrived right before our meal arrived. I was quite surprised when the manager came around with his normal question, “how was everything?” With a huge smile on his face. It was as if he didn’t realize the meal took terrible long to arrive. Not sure with that few people, that the service being slow wasn’t extremely obvious.
