Great meal! Will definitely be going back.

Food was exceptional, the service was perfect did not rush us and the ambiance was a beautiful Saturday night for just me and my wife....Would highly recommend!

Our food was delicious, though I did not get what I ordered. No server ventured close enough for me to even make them aware of an issue. Our water glasses were not even re-filled until our dinner plates were being cleared. While standard menus (not contactless electronic ) were given to us to order, no bill was presented to us. The server presented a handheld computer and advised my husband to “choose a number” for his gratuity. He then watched my husband choose said number. We were not intimidated into over-tipping, In my view, our server’s conduct was presumptuous, audacious, even offensive. Nobody appeared to be managing the operation, which might explain the deplorable service. I cannot envision us returning to Polpo in light of our experience this evening.

Excellent food! A bit short staffed but it was in the off season. Very polite, knowledgeable staff and accommodating.

The outdoor seating area was perfect for a cool night with ample heaters. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and we were happy to take the drive from Margate for the dining experience! Looking forward to trying your new place in Bryn Mawr, Pa...Otto by Polpo. Hoping it is as delicious as this one in Avalon was!!

We had a great first experience at Polpo. The food was delicious- there wasn’t a crumb left in any of our plates. Can’t wait to go again.

2nd time. It’s not often that we eat out and enjoy everything that we ordered. From the appetizers to the salad special to the entrees and dessert, everything was excellent. Service was great also. Sam was on point

We had a wonderful evening at Polpo. Our server was amazing and made us feel like we were at her home. The food was spectacular. Everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday to my husband. It felt like we were at a big party! BYOB so be sure to bring some wine 🍷!

Slow service with a small crowd. Appetizers were really good. Dinner was ok. I had the steak special which came out warm with cold asparagus. Pasta dishes were good.

Incredible place. The island was quiet for the most part, but Polpo was packed (safely). Food was fantastic as was the service. I would definitely recommend to anyone... just make sure you have a reservation as this place is a hot spot.

We had a 7:45 reservation and when we arrived there were DOZENS of patrons waiting to be seated inside and out. We were taken to our table and there was NO social distancing. We are supposed to be at 50% however, the places was jammed and you couldn’t have a normal conversation. The noise level was above normal.
The food was okay, but our server was very good.
Several locals mentioned that they are notorious for over booking.

This place. Never again. The sister restaurant, LeVecchia is much better and totally organized not to mention the food is better as well. Unfortunately they’re not open any longer in the off season since Polpo opened. I’m trying to understand the rave reviews......

The arugula rucola salad is supposed to have parmigiano reggiano cheese it had none and my chicken franchese came with nothing - just chicken. The coating was coming off and was a bit greasy tasting.

Great outdoor experience. Plenty of heaters and blankets were provided. Food was great. Service was great.

We made a reservation for outside however when we arrived we were told the wait would be rather long. Ate inside and didn’t feel too secure considering Covid. Was too crowded. Food was good as always.

We LOVE Polpo. It is reliably amazing. Service is great and atmosphere is awesome. They've done an excellent job throughout the pandemic--their outside eating area is perfect and they've stayed open quite a bit during this off-season in Avalon. Very thankful!! We were there on Wednesday night and the food and service were outstanding. Highly recommend!!

Great as usual! We’re there every summer with a group of at least 25! One of our favorite places!!!

The food was very good. However the place was packed with the tables so close together . For the price I was expecting a better ambiance to compliment the meal .

Fine dining at a reasonable price, made better by BYOB. My wife and I love dining here on weekends in Avalon.

Terrible service! Food service was extremely late. The waiter was RUDE and disrespectful requiring me to talk to the manager. NEVER going there again !!’n
