We had set menu $65 was the best all 6 of us enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back best meal had in GC for long time. Quality and price.

Didn’t enjoy the set menu. Flavours weren’t balanced. Or too sweet or too salty or too spicy. For $80 I was starving when I left. I won’t return. Staff where amazing tho.

Will definitely eat here again though maybe not sitting under a speaker

Karaage was more like dried popcorn chicken. The wagyu, pork gyozas and lotus roots were all delicious.

The staff hardly made eye contact and on arrival it was as if no one wanted to seat us. $3 for table water too.

We were in and out within 45 minutes.

Thinking if we were seafood lovers we might have liked the place more.

Food was fantastic. The restaurant was pumping for a Monday night, definitely a local's go-to. Not a big fan of the digital menus personally, but in it's defence the staff are quick after something is ordered and there were no mistakes. But digital menus do take the personal service touch out of it.

My favorite restaurant!

We have been enjoying Project Tokyo since it first opened and we are pleased that they managed to stay on hold during the QLD lockdown March-June 2020. The expanded restaurant is tastefully decorated in Japanese themed timber dividers. We had bar seats this visit and were pleasantly surprised at the very comfortable leather stools. The iPad type ordering system is fast and efficient and the drinks arrive super quick. WE often have their set Omakase menu so our dining guests can sample a range the various dishes. This is one of our local restaurants so it is our responsibility to enjoy their menu as much as possible.

Love this place ! Easy going atmosphere , great food, wonderful service and value for money.
Project Tokyo doesn't have views or scenic setting however you don't notice that due to everything else being so good

Turned up and couldn't find out booking even though booked 3 weeks ahead. Food expensive for what it was.

Overall a very good restaurant that I have recommended to others. Food was very good though chosen set menu did not offer enough variety mainly non cooked fish dishes. Service was also very good but quick so you needed to eat continuously to finish each dish. Noise of music TOO loud and could not hear the conversation at our own table. A Riesling by the glass is recommended. Well done Project Tokyo and I’ve already made my next reservation.

Absolutely amazing food and service. We opted for a set menu which was absolutely delicious. Each dish was presented really well, beautiful combination of flavours. Great value for money! Def outstrips many Michelin star restaurant we have eaten in! Highly recommend a visit!

Staff were very accommodating as I changed the booking two times, and it was never an issue. Food was truely delicious. Staff attentive. Gave everything a 5 star except a 4 star for ambience as there was function on in the car park which was not the restaurant’s fault, but it was very noisy.
This was my second visit and there will be more as Project Tokyo is my new best local restaurant.

A lovely restaurant, however, it can be very loud from the music they play. Towards the front of the restaurant and outside is less loud. Food was beautiful and the staff were as good as always!

Really underwhelming! We got the sashimi kingfish which was nice but everything else wasn’t very good-we had the duck spring rolls which were fairly tasteless and the sauce was too strong, the yakitori chicken with teriyaki sauce, asparagus with teriyaki, lotus chips. We were charged 3 dollars just for still water and there was a dollar surcharge for paying with card. Staff weren’t overly friendly and no toilet on the premises. You have to walk through the parking lot for a toilet.

We had such a memorable night at project Tokyo..
from the service to the wine and food, everything was simply divine .
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Modern dining. Order from an ipad thst is easy to use

Salmon was delicious. Dumplings were ok.

If I was to order the wagyu beef again, I would ask for the sauce on the side as the sauce is to powerful for the beautifully cooked wagyu beef.

Tofu tempura was good.

Overall food was good and well priced.
Food came out in a well timed manner. And when it didn't, a complimentary snack was provided.

I would have eaten at most Gold Coast restaurants and this is becoming one of my favourites.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
