P.S. Speakeasy

We made reservations and was seated on time. They first sit us in the bar at a High Top! That wasn't good .There were open tables and luckily a gentleman moved us to a table in the main area. Had a good time. Most don't go to speakeasy's to sit at a high top in the bar.

The service was wonderful, you guys just need to get some type of finger foods on the menu. When people drink you get hungry.

Positives -
The decor fits a speakeasy . Great vibe to socialize and sit back with a cocktail . Seated quickly with our reservation & staff was friendly

Negatives -
Limited drink menu. The staff doesn’t wear what a speakeasy mixer wears .. knowledge of drinks lack .
We only had 1 drink each and it wasn’t done that great . We people watched and everyone around us .. you could tell was having the same experience . Not many were asking for additional drinks .

This place could make a lot of money .
If they had a wider drink menu .. and more

Went just for a couple cocktails, was waited on once. Not super impressed overall mainly because of the service. Atmosphere was great though.

Disappointed ... the only food menu was "bites." I was looking for a full dinner menu and I was sent to their upstairs restaurant.

Very nice upscale speakeasy. Not too crowded. Drinks just OK, Service was friendly and efficient. Looks to be a popular place to go.

We absolutely loved our time at P.S. Speakeasy! We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had an amazing evening. The ambiance was incredible, the staff was out of this world and the drinks are, by far, some of the best Kansas City has to offer. I STRONGLY suggest you give it a try. Be sure to make your reservation, they are abiding by COVID-19 guidelines so space is limited.

Drinks were pricey. Did not receive any help or suggestions on drink choice.

Great service, nice atmosphere, friendly bartenders, very small menu of appetizers tho. I'd definitely go here again.

The ambiance is great and so is the staff. Cocktails are generally good, but the cocktails menu is extremely limited. The bottle selection is also quite limited for the level of bar and compared to the city general level.

My girlfriend and I had never been here before and we loved it a lot. We cannot wait to go back there again.

The P.S. SpeakEasy is not a restaurant it’s a bar. If you go there expecting fine dining you’ll be disappointed as food is not their specialty. However, if you’re looking for a nice bar to enjoy a cocktail you’ve found it. The ambiance is excellent and so are the drinks 🍸.

This is a swanky joint. We loved everything about it and will be visiting again next time we’re in Kansas City.

Oh my effing gawd! This place is a Kansas City Treasure and must be protected at all cost. Never have I ever been so enamored with a bar/restaurant since KCs the Mango Room was around. Great drinks and delicious appetizers.

Outstanding atmosphere for a quiet drink, a throwback in time, get the old fashioned.....it’s perfection in a glass!!

At first it is really pretty, but then not so much. The customer service is horrible. The drinks weren't that good and they are very pricey. Make sure you like what you pick because they're not giving you a refund or exchanging to make you happy.

sub par, the bartender was rude and the drinks were poorly made. We were told to be quiet at one point by the bartender for laughing. Won’t be going back.

Service was great. It’s covid, so limited people were there and it was quite. I have several allergies and they were able to accommodate and made a great margarita. I was unable to eat any of the food cuz of my allergies, but my husband ordered the hummus and he did not like it. Overall, Great drinks and cool atmosphere. Food left more to be desired.

Best Old Fashioned I’ve found anywhere. Same with two friends I’ve introduced to this place.

The elderly waitress was quick to dismiss us, when asking about drinks. No food, so missed the truffle popcorn, and dessert.

We went during COVID social distancing and wearing masks. There weren’t too many patrons besides us. Drinks were okay. Limited menu. Not as intimate as a typical speakeasy

Great historical hotel and the speakeasy has the potential to be great but the service was disorganized and just fair.

Fun, unique atmosphere. Good drinks. They know what they’re doing. No food (which we expected); trail mix is literally trail mix.

Went for an after dinner drink. The bartender couldn’t make a Brandy Alexander or a Grasshopper. She finally agreed to make a White Russian but generally seemed put out about it. This place isn’t near as good as Manifesto. It is just a night club in the basement it isn’t really a speakeasy atmosphere. Go to Manifesto instead.

The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate date night. We enjoyed trying new drinks and a unique experience! Would highly recommend if you are looking to do something different for a night out.

Not your average speak easy.
Very bright, not too small, very quiet.
Drinks were okay.
Service was bad.
Ambiance was also pretty bad. Seemed like a hotel bar, which I know it is, but I didn’t think that was the vibe they were going for.

Larry L. was an amazing mixologist that knew what he was doing. On top of that, he had amazing customer service when it came down to multi-tasking with conversations and still maintaining services to others. Highly recommend him on-going. (& his old fashions.)

I expected more, was the low point of the date night I planned. After talking with our server I found out they haven’t booked any musical talent yet in 2020. The drinks were very expensive. Our server was great though. It could really be a great place with a few improvements.
