Puesto at the Headquarters
I always bring out of town guests to Puesto. Their tacos are phenomenal. The price point is a little high, but it’s worth it.
Amazing food, amazing service. We were seated promptly and our server was extremely attentive. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to go back.
Fun young vibe
Great menu, drinks and vibe
One of my favorite taco places in San Diego. Great vibe inside as well.
I made reservations and specified it was for a birthday celebration, there was no acknowledgement of it. Also, got sat way in the corner upstairs so it felt very deserted. The food was great, but unhappy with the service and the atmosphere. The atmosphere honestly I believe was because we got sat in the very back corner for a birthday celebration
Great tacos, I always stick with the Chicken Al Pastor and Filet Mignon. Really good value if you go on Tuesdays especially.
My experience at Puesto was like no other, to say the least. My husband and I came to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We felt the love as soon as we walked in. From the Happy Anniversary Greetings and recommendations from our amazing server to the late night shots and not so happy endings ;) Waking up the next morning, I could really say that this place was top notch!! I appreciate the staff’s hospitality and we will definitely be back.
The ambiance definitely left something to be desired and the food was just okay. Not sure we will be back. This might be a spot that would work for a very casual, kid friendly lunch. Not so much a Saturday date night.
Was seated quickly, thanks to the reservation. Waiter was super friendly. Did take a while to get our drinks and order out and for refills on our water. Food was delicious, I loved the pastor taco. Overall enjoyed, just wished the pace moved a bit faster felt a bit neglected.
Tacos were average without fresh tortillas taste. Main complaint was how hot restaurant was inside and very hard to hear anyone. Service was excellent!
Always great food! Love the esquite, Mexican street bowl, tacos, etc.
Great customer service. Tacos have flavors that make them so unique and delicious!
Probably the best Mexican I have had!
Pretty cool vibe to this place and looked after our 8 month old so well
Way too loud to have any conversation.
Puesto is hands down the best place in San Diego to get tacos. The ingredients and flavors and overall quality of the tacos are unrivaled, and the complimentary salsa that they give with chips while you wait for your food to roll in is absolutely amazing.
Expensive for what you get.
Food was incredible. Definitely recommend the filet mignon taco.
We really like Puerto. Food, ambience & service are good. It’s a little pricey in my opinion for what you get. We’ve only ordered tacos but don’t expect any rice or beans. If you order 2 tacos that’s what you get. They are very good & with the chips & salsa it’s filling enough but when I spend $17 on 3 tacos some rice and or beans would be nice.
Tacos are amazing. Taquitos were too heavy/deep fried, so they weren't enjoyed. Guacamole is good, but not uniquely good. Also tried the Yucatan salad, but this was missing something. Ambience was enjoyable/fun and service was expedient, kind, and accommodating.
Waiter was very nice and very prompt! He explained menu and checked in with us often. Made for a nice experience!
Food was awesome as was the service. I will be back and will recommend to friends and family
We are frequent visitors and everything is always great except the service. On this occasion we were seated at the very last table upstairs, ignored for about 10 minutes and server did not seem bothered. I understand they were very busy - but the table with two guys that arrived after us had chips and water way before we did. They literally steps away from our table so what the deal? Again we visit puesto often because the food is great and the hosts are always very friendly. Servers could use some customer service training. Overall great place to eat and drink.
Food was amazing! Best tacos ever. Server was nice but was very busy, not abnormal for a Saturday night. Would recommend!
Good service, good food, nice place to eat, parking not easy to find but ok
Still the best guacamole in town! #Nogada
Shrimp tacos were cold but still good... Thanks Puesto!
Every time I visit SD I go to Puesto! Love the food and ambiance
Slow to get service at first but then much better
One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego!!! Delicious!!!
Probably the best Mexican cuisine we’ve ever enjoyed. The servers were great and helpful with any and all questions.
Service was slow. Took a long to even get waters. Tried three different tacos—the filet mignon, lamb, and carnitas. The filet and the lamb were SUPER spicy. I like spicy food, but was almost too much for me. They probably would have been inedible for your average joe. The carnitas taco was delicious though. Chips/guac and drinks were awesome!
Terrible seat for a reservation. I was put directly next to hot part of kitchen (in front of grill section) which got hotter as our meal progressed and very loud as the expediter kept yelling near us.
Food was brought out with terrible timing where appetizers and main courses were overlapping with each other and unable to fit on the end of the community table my party was given.
Worst experience I have had here in the times I have come.
Food came out super fast and was delicious! Can't wait to come back
Was stoked to try this place. Had reservation on open table at 5 pm on Fri. Waited 10 min for the table and then 12 more min just for the waiter to approach us for drink orders. Food was fine but lukewarm.l instead oh hot. Great location, but would choose nearby Cheesecake Factory next time.
Good food. Hostess very unorganized and couldn’t figure out table seating despite reservation. Service fine once seated.
My third time dining at Puesto at the Headquarters and the food was amazing as always! I wish we had one in Palm Desert/La Quinta - if you build it they will come.
Very good experience and the filet tacos were money. The what are we having marg was on point. Would definitely go back.
When I first went there after it opened the food was perfectly awful. Same thing with the second time I went there. We decided to give it another try last week we have the food was spectacular from the salsa to the desert. I don’t know what went on but it’s definitely a place I want to go back to again.
Love the guac and tacos. I was worried the three tacos wouldn't be filling enough, but they were pretty substantial.
