Puesto at the Headquarters
Outstanding service and delicious food. Always my go to
Will not makethe mistake of coming here for dinner again. Second time now I have come at dinner and had a bad experience (lunch however has always been great). The hostess stand was a cluster. The noise level for the “salsa under the stars” was unacceptable. I had visitors in from out of town and while I normally like a lively atmosphere this was out of control-couldn’t even hear the person next to me. The filet, chicken, and al pastor tacos never disappoint! I was super excited to try the smoked tuna taco-GROSS!! This proves the age old theory that fish and cheese should not be together. It had a weird red sauce on top that also didn’t work. I tried to eat it despite not liking it and when my gag reflex noticed I had to stop. One of the worst things I’ve eaten. Our server was lovely and the rest of the food was good. Steer clear of the tuna taco and go for lunch but skip the dinner time (unless you don’t want to hear the people you’re with in which case this would be a good option...)
Please bring chicken Verde back. That is the best and we miss it. You are one spot we always visit when in San Diego
“The hero” taco is the best taco, taco Tuesday is cheaper!!
Food was delicious as usual. Service wasn’t that great. Felt the server was too busy or didn’t care about our table specifically. I’ve been several times. I would go back.
Great tacos! We marveled at how efficient all the chefs were in the kitchen- they sure move fast!
Amazing. Service was having a bad day. May not be a daily thing though. Patio seating is highly recommend 😀
I thought the flavor of the food was fairly average. We happened to go to a taco stand in La Jolla the day before and got fish and shrimp tacos for half the price and liked them better. We also ordered three-bean salad as an appetizer and found it to be quite bland except for the pungency that’s came from the blue cheese in the salad. I thought overall this place was average at best. The service and ambience were great but not so much the food.
Good food but pricey
Great food, drinks and service, music a little loud so we sat outside great for the summer sunsets.
I don’t normally write reviews but these were the best tacos I’ve ever had. Staff is super friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant is really cool. If you’re ever in San Diego, this place is a must!
Our group felt the prices were way out of line. Especially, the margaritas and short pours of wine!
Best Mexican food ever, try the fried shrimp taco w tamarind. It’s a must have
The prices are pretty high ($35/person with drinks and an appetizer), but the food is wonderful. And the location down in Seaport Village is beautiful. I’d recommend it for a special occasion. It’s loud and busy, but service was fast and friendly! I’ll go again.
Very Overpriced, food was average. Never been to a Mexican restaurant where beans and/or rice didn’t come with the meal. Salsa was very tasty. Shrimp, ahi and lobster tacos were all over cooked and tough. Chicken tacos were the best. Service was very good, almost too quick! Very noisy, hard to carry on conversations. Probably won’t be back.
Amazing food and great service. Drinks were delicious - good was well seasoned, thoughtfully combines - just a great experience overall
Food was great, a little over priced but delicious. Restaurant was beautiful. Great balance of indoor/outdoor. Restrooms were clean. Ambiance was great. Our waiter was kind of rude to us, seemed to treat others with more respect. Ordered a side of rice to go before receiving our bill. 15 minutes later we asked the waiter about it. He told us "it shouldn't take too long I just haven't been back to the kitchen to check on it". However i had just seen him leaving the kitchen a few minutes before. If you forgot just apologize, say you forgot and go get it. He continued to help others so we asked someone else. The other waiter/buser went straight to the kitchen and came back with 2 sides right away.
Too expensive for the value and quantity of food and drinks. Great atmosphere and service but much too expensive.
Table side service was very very very slow throughout the entire meal. It had come highly recommended by a friend however I was disappointed on several instances.
No place has better Mexican corn and filet mignonette tacos! This is a must visit restaurant for all taco fans!
Great food, as always! Service was fantastic as well!
Quick bites. Nothing really authentic but still delicious.
Delicious tacos, especially the mushroom taco. Combined well with the Viognier/Fiano from Valle de Guadalupe. Service was attentive not obtrusive. I look forward to my next visit there.
Best tacos in SD!
Unprofessional staff cursing up at the bar and taking about the female guests. Food was average at best.
Waitress treated us like a ‘one and done’. That is to say, she took our order and that was it. We had to flag someone else down twice to place additional orders. Also - she somehow forgot one of our entree orders which resulted in an awkward eating situation.
Dinner for five and only two dishes and 1 appetizer are worth a mention from our dinner. The shrimp tacos were tasty and so were the potato taquitos with our Esquite appetizer. Definitely will not go again.
The filet mignon tacos are PHENOMENAL! The servers were attentive, but not overbearing. Guac has a nice kick.
Food was decent but service and food was incredibly slow.
Great tacos, fun ambiance. Best to make a reservation on weekend nights bc it will get packed!
Great food, great ambiance, very good service
Good food great service. The booth was not private. Too noisy
We ordered from the Restaurant Week Lunch menu and were impressed and pleasantly surprised. All the selections we had were delicious. We plan to add this place to our "must come back" list with family and friends.
I absolutely loved this place. The food, ambiance, and service were all top-notch. However, even though I came during Restaurant Week, the price was a bit on the higher side. Maybe I’ll return next time there’s a discount!
Great food and service! Will definitely be back.
The place was very inviting, lots of people and very nicely decorated. Our server was super busy, but he was very nice. Unfortunately the food was not good, the ceviche was bland and the tacos lacked basic seasoning.
We were celebrating our 10 months of being together as well as our son being about to be born in the new few days we wanted to go somewhere nice to kinda have a last date before we become parents to our lil one. We loved the taco of the month as well as the energy of the crew the Buser/food runner I believed her name is Erin but she goes by Ej or forgive me on the spelling was on point and was super welcoming helped us settle right in, our Server who we failed to get the name of was friends and more then helpful when it came to our meal choices I can see why you guys have so many awards for the best tacos! Thank you for such a great experience to the desert which was made with perfection can’t wait to come back with our lil one once they can be out and about
Food was delicious, service was quick, but very loud inside.
I don't believe we noticed the +$2 for taco of the month of menu, and so our total was a bit higher than expected. Aside from that, things went well.
