Puesto Mission Valley

Called to make reservations for 12 - was told we will be will be in the parking lot, but we can be in the outdoor patio if 10 people max. I agreed. Reservations changed with email confirmation. It was even stressed to me that they are not able to add 2 more people to a 10 people table. We get there we were seated outside, in the parking lot, 15 minutes after our reservation time. When I asked, there was no notation of it, even though there was an email confirmation. She offered I speak to a manager and said I would have to wait again, and still no guarantee we can be seated outdoor. Food was mediocre, cocktails were weak and overpriced. Good, attentive service.

They are all so nice and wonderful there. The manager even came around to check on us. Food was great!

Our last girls get together for Margs before yet again, another shut down. This place is good. Food is ok and overall a little pricey for drinks. The server was nice and professional. A very accommodating when I told her I didn’t get all my tacos. It’s hard to track the tickets inside to all the food that goes outside but, she was very gracious. The outdoor set up is very nice and comfortable.

Always a great place. Service was a little slow this day.

Eating in a Parking Lot with Bad Furniture, Super Expensive, Food went way downhill from a Month ago! What Happened to the Chef? Food was Cold, Dry and almost unedible. Will not be going back and I am sure they will not survive. Waiter was Awesome! I hope he finds a new job soon.

Horrible food. Over priced. Not authentic tacos... americanized and modernized street tacos.

Terrible customer service from our server, since we were seated the server took 12 minutes to acknowledge us, and said he will be back, 5 minutes later took our drink order and only brought 1, the meals came in different order.
No water service as other tables were getting, for the price the place is not worth it.

My girlfriend and I love Puesto. We were so excited for this location to open up and have been there at least two to three times a month.
However, our last couple of visits have been very disappointing. Especially this last visit. The quality of food has dropped. For example, the Mexican street bowl has had fruit in it that was not ripe. Which makes the bowl hard to eat and enjoy because the fruit is hard from not being ripe. Our carnitas in our carnitas taco has been hard and tough to eat.
Even in our last couple of visits we have received dirty silverware and plates. When we asked for new plates because the ones we were given were dirty, we were given attitude from the food runners.
With that being said, the service from the servers has always been great. Sometimes they are overloaded with tables, but they are always knowledgeable, helpful and attentive.

Thought the food and service was fantastic. Will definitely plan to return. Our waiter Ross explained the menu and made great recommendations.

Eating in a tent with side panels was much like eating indoors as far as COVID avoidance is concerned. I was very uncomfortable with the situation but we couldn't get another table entirely outdoors.

It’s not that the food wasn’t good. But the service was so bad. We requested a dessert item at 6:30 and for thirty minutes no one came with the dessert or to ask if we need help. We tried to make eye contact but no one came. After thirty minutes we went to the cashier desk and found that the order was not even put in. If you care about good service then you should give other places a chance.

Three beers, three street tacos and two enchiladas for $90.00? Does anyone think that's a good deal?j The food was good, but $90? Come on!

What made my experience very poor was the waiter that attended our table. I think his name was Pablo and he lacked attention and was very cold. It seemed that he was ready for his lunch or he was just not having a good day. While ordering he was not paying attention and one of my friends and she had to repeat her order because he wasn't paying attention the first time. During our meal, another waitress attended us, claiming that Pablo had to "train other waiters", but the waiter was much more attentive and had great energy. It is uncomfortable to dine-in a place where the waiter is in a bad mood.

The food is not very good. Tacos were dry and basically tasteless. Corn was good. Drinks were strong enough. Very over priced and I would not go back.

Service was so so. Appetizers were the star of the show. Tacos were just ok.

This time around, the service was not the best. One of the items we ordered was never delivered and when we requested napkins (didn’t have any to begin with) they never arrived either. The happy hour menu stated all tacos were 5 dollars but surprised at the end when fish tacos have an add on? Overall I’d rate my experience 2 stars. Went for happy hour, but spend the equivalent to a regular night dine in. Food is great, but service was awful.

The food is good but very pricey and I would skip the cocktails. Though the one I had tasted good, it was in a small glass with mostly ice and priced at $18.

Our server, Adam, was inattentive and overbearing.

The ambiance was very nice. COVID friendly, everything is spaced out nicely. The food was AMAZING, I just felt that it was overpriced.

First off I am NOTTTT a review person. I come here atleast once a week and it’s always great. Cocktails are always amazing and the mushroom taco....you gotta try it. Sometimes the tacos are hit or miss, but that’s most restaurants. The waiters are always super sweet and attentive. My boyfriend and I’s favorite date night restaurant !!!

Pricey for tacos, but well worth it! The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Both food and drinks were great! Will definitely return
