Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf
Grass-fed beef, duroc pork, whipped parmesan potatoes, mushrooms, seasonal vegetables and porcini-infused demi glace
Apricot preserves, caramelized onions, candied walnuts, grapes and housemade crackers
Our server was amazing! Very considerate and accommodating, especially of our five-year old.
Server wasn’t helpful with questions regarding menu items. Seemed to be quoting a predetermined response when asked to explain details of menu items. Ended up sending back a main course because of lack of details when asked questions previously. It was like grinding teeth to get answers about items on the menu.
Food was delicious! Service was perfect. We dined inside which wasn’t too loud. Would go back again!
Was a little chilly sitting outside, not many outdoor heaters.
This Purple location has a nice quiet feel to it. It's located in the wine district in Woodinville, which has a great all around vibe.
I always enjoy visiting the Purple Cafe. The staff, food, and ambience are all terrific.
The food was really bland, I think people go for the impressive wine selection.
We sat in the tent outdoors which was very loud. There was a table of very loud drunk people next to us which made it difficult to even have a conversation. Other than than that the food and service were great.
I've been to Purple Cafe several times but not at this location; this experience was not as favorable as those that brought me in this time. The gorgonzola stuffed dates were overpriced for their size on the plate. The entrees were tasty; I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf, a season appropriate comfort food. Outdoor dining was a key requirement in our dining location. I was disappointed and concerned to be seated in a vinyl tent, open on 2 sides. Gratefully, we were seated fairly near the opening.
We don't go out much for 2020 reasons, but came to Purple for my birthday. They have an awesome outdoor dining setup, and I appreciated the little hand sanitizers on the table. A+ I might dare to go out again!
I went a few weeks ago on a beautiful day, enjoyed sitting outside and had amazing service. Going back yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my family was a different experience.
We had a reservation for the 11am opening and despite being there a few minutes prior to anyone else, we were seated after others when they did decide to seat people.
It was raining and overcast so thankfully we still managed to get a table near a heater but I don’t know what it will be like in the tent without heaters nearby.
I ordered the same meal I had last month (Farmers Lunch) and it seemed to come with less food on the board with the bread as a whole piece instead of sliced as it was before. Foods still tasted good too. Service was decent but less attentive than before.
Over all, the experience wasn’t as seamless or nearly as great as the last time and maybe on your birthday you expect special but this was not. It wasn’t bad either but when being strategic about even going out to restaurants right now it will make me second guess a visit back during the fall and winter.
Parking is hard to get but once seated the food and service is really good. The outdoor patio environment can get a little loud as long as you don’t mind it.
Great COVID social distancing. Restricting capacity which helped build confidence!
Food was fresh, but a little slow to arrive. A bit pricey for a small brunch, especially a bacon/egg sandwich with small salad. My friend enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries!
Always have a good time at this romantic dinner spot.
Thx very good service and menu recommendations.
Server was not attentive, food was good, it was very cold.
We were seated inside but our server had other issues with other tables so it took a while
She was super nice but got our drink order wrong and it took a good 15 min to get it
It also took a long time to get the check which meant she wasn’t reading our vibe at all.
We love the food but my scallops were cold
Outstanding customer service. Our server was great. Wonderful personality. Will be back again soon.!
Wonderful food - the spicy prawns and frites appetizer is incredible. And our server was super friendly and able to recommend great wines for us - the two of us each tried two different wines. We were very pleased with the recommendations. Overall a great dinner out.
We got to sit on the second floor and we really love the ambiance up there! Our server said it was the first night they were using the upstairs. We love purple in downtown Seattle and it used to be our date night spot but we actually think we like this one better, since it’s much quieter but might be that way because of covid. We love the baked Brie and get it every time!
The service was great. The atmosphere was great. The food and wines were great.
Mike and Victor are always great. Attentive making sure all is going good, food is as expected, etc. The Grilled Cheese, tomato soup & salad lunch combo is always a excellent Go To.
We will be back.
Food was good but they were sold out of a few things we wanted. The menu is small to begin with and 3 of the items we tried to order they were out of.
I am a loyal fan of Purple and was very sorry to learn of their Bellevue location closing due to COVID. The Woodinville location is just as lovely in its own way and our server could not have been nicer.
Autumn was our waitress and she made the entire experience amazing for myself, my mom, and my grandmother. Thank you Autumn for making our day!
We had a lovely meal and the staff was very helpful, however we had a reservation here for a birthday, and were disappointed to show up and be told that they were not doing table service. Aka we had to walk up to the bar to order food and drinks, like a cafe or cheap bar. It would have been nice to get a call prior to our reservation to be informed of this, as it was a special occasion and we were hoping for the whole dinning out experience, especially when we planned to spend over $100 on dinner and drinks for two people. Apart from that, the food was great and we will be returning once they are doing table service again.
Unfortunately, Purple was having an off day during our visit. Although we tried to make the best of counter service, the wait stuff was just rude about everything. We walked in to let them know we had a reservation. The team immediately told us that the reservations were being ignored. It is a seat yourself kind of day. We asked if we could sit inside and she responded does it look like there is a seat available... We ordered at the counter where another customer was getting the same treatment but taking it a lot worst than we did. I commended her courage for calling the waitress out on her rudeness. The food was meh. The tomato soup was cold, the baked bree was dried out, the hamburger was alright. We had a flight of wine which was not the normal quality of purple, but as our wondrous waitress said, we are trying to make the best out of this horrible day.
Plan ahead as Purple can be very popular and with COVID19 seating and social distancing restrictions you must have a reservation.
Menu is seasonal along with their more popular items and the wine selection is great.
Check out the "Staff" wine favorites.
The Purple Team is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Excellent servixe as always. !!
Cinnamon bun with bacon to die for!
The service is usually a little lax.
Our server was amazing and we had outstanding food and service.
Service was the highlight even though our orders were mixed up, they were great about it and attentive through dinner.
Very good service, food and drinks.
Due to COVID situation the seating is outside which have less ambiance but at least it is open and we could enjoy very good evening.
Looked so forward to this outing. The seating outside was fine, under circumstances was appreciated to be able to go again. We went for lunch and the Mac and cheese with lobster was good as always and the crab cakes are full of meat. But could have gotten a better, larger beef sandwich almost anywhere for half the price. We were forgotten by the waiter and had to chase him down to get and pay our bill. With only a third of tables occupied I hate to think what service would be like if they were busy.
Nice outdoor seating, good BLTA sandwich with nice, hot and crispy sweet potato fries, very good service. A bit expensive though.
Chicken Marsala is to die for!! Their outdoor seating is great for summer and the service is quick. We ordered the chicken Marsala and meatloaf. Both dishes were great and perfect with the wine suggestions. I would be back for more. Too bad they have closed their Bellevue location :(
Appetizers were amazing -- specifically the calamari, crab cakes and brie. They made the meal along with the wine! The entrees were okay, nothing too impressive (the salmon and the marsala). The chicken was dry d I've had better marsala. The outdoor seating was nice and so was our server. We'll be back but we'll different entrees.
Slow to be seated even tho we had reservations. Still had to wait 20min.
Tables weren’t bussed in a timely manner. Five tables sat before someone finally came over to clean them off.
Had to ask for the table in the shade - was offered a table completely in the sun and we had a toddler with us.
Service was very slow.
Mentioned during making the reservation we were celebrating a birthday but nothing was offered. And after the poor service we just wanted to leave. Wasn’t worth waiting any longer for anything b
Food was good but the wait staff was definitely on “hang loose time”.
We’ve had much better experiences at the Seattle location which is what brought us to Woodinville.
The food and service were outstanding. They are doing a great job of keeping the Covid rules.
