I love Pythouse Kitchen Garden. Its so atmospheric, but also I find it a very soothing place to visit. The staff are so welcoming, and the food vital. The location and walled garden are absolutely beautiful. Sshhh, don't tell anyone as it is a secret!

Very original and imaginative food. The “gathering” vegetable side dishes were outstanding. Good wine selection and attentive and friendly service. On a very wet and windy evening it had a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The most delicious, succulent, mekt-in-the-mouth, beef from the fire, cooked to perfection with a couple of shared sides upon recommendation. Pudding a sheer indulgence - one chocolate brownie with praline cream and one muscovado spinge with salted caramel - both to die for!
Tried the homemade Sprigster and ended up buying a bottle to take home.
Lovely, chilled atmosphere and discreet service.
Overall can highly recommend.

We had such a lovely late lunch at Pythouse - the food was absolutely delicious and the grounds were lovely to walk around, even in winter. Great service and cosy atmosphere with the candles and sheepskins on seats! We can't wait to come back!

lovely rural Wiltshire location, the restaurant which is the kitchen garden outbuildings is delightfully rustic. Service was very friendly and at just the right speed. The food has a pleasant smoky flavour and the vegetables are extremely well presentyed and different.

UTTERLY AMAZING EXPERIENCE! The food, the staff and the surroundings are all to die for. Really cannot praise this place enough for the inventiveness of the menu and the way they’ve adapted in difficult times. Best experience we’ve had in 2020. Go go go!!

Really lovely food, beautifully cooked. The staff were very pleasant, chatty but not over fussy.
When we went it was lunch in December and very quiet so not a lot of atmosphere.
We will be returning and bringing friends when we are allowed.

Love the new chef Darren’s menu, especially the creative, seasonal and delicious vegetables dishes.

The Pythouse continues to deliver to a high standard on all levels. It's a little gem in the middle of the beautiful Wilts/Dorset countryside!

We ate inside the building (not the extension) and it was comfortable and warm. The menu was excellent from the generous nibbles to our mains: belly of pork and sirloin steak with delicious sides. The layered brownie was heavenly (the name doesn't do it justice!). The food is fresh, seasonal and, wherever possible, locally sourced, if not grown on site. The staff were delightful. Altogether a most enjoyable experience.

Excellent food as always. However, the attitude of maitre d that evening was shocking. To provide context we were two separate groups of four and six at different tables. However, when we attempted to change the seating plan of the two parties we will confronted in very aggressive tone by the maitre d. We fully hold our hands up that we were in the wrong given current COVID-19 guidelines. However, people should be spoken to politely and the maitre'd strongly needs to consider her tone when speaking to customers.

The Pythouse is a wonderful place to eat. We were made to feel welcome on arrival and the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was bursting with flavour and simple yet innovative. In these troubled times the whole experience was a delight.

Amazing pork belly and didn’t know that a cabbage could taste so good.

Four of us had lunch on a Sunday in the indoor seating area. It was a relaxed atmosphere with very good friendly service. Food was very tasty, made with love from good selection of quality seasonal produce. To start, we had two nibble plates between four of us which was not really enough. We shared a selection of four side dishes to go with our main plates which was sufficient, I would recommend ordering more than one each if you have big appetites. Save some room for desserts, they were delicious. Overall I thought it was a great place to have a special lunch with family and friends.

meats grilled over charcoal, fresh produce from the garden and delicious dessert.
reasonably priced for the quality too.
All served up in a lovely conservatory.
can't wait to go again.
