We tried Raimondo’s for the first time after trying several other times to get a reservation. The atmosphere was very nice, service was outstanding as was the food. We were not disappointed. The only knock is it is a bit on the pricey side and salad is not included in the entree. The portions of the food were very generous as well. We will certainly go back.
Wow. We thought the best Italian was on STATEN Island. This is right up there with the best of them. Bravo!
too expensive to match the quality of what was served
Great food and staff. Noise level is moderate. No problem having conversation with your group. Highly recommend
I Love Raimondo's and their food. but what I dont like, is they take liberties w their menu by making changes w/o your knowledge. Example: ordered Flounder Florentine w crab over linguini. Its my VERY favorite dish and I get this all the time when I visit here! This visit, chef decided on his own to put one single shrimp onto of my flounder and leave out the crab all together. Changing the tased of the meal completely! Flounder and pasta was great, the shrimp was a little raw to my liking. So didnt eat it. Other than that, food was good. We waited a long time for the entree (over 57 mins) but its very good. Usually I would order an app, but then they delay the Meal even further. Then by that time I am too full to eat my meal. There were only 4 other couples I restaurant on the Thursday evening at 5pm. Our food arrived after 6pm. Its still a favorite, but now I know to ask if they plan to "make changes" to my meal ordered ahead of time.
Everyone enjoyed their dinners. Our waitress was wonderful and patient.
We haven't been to Raimondo's in close to a year, but were so glad we came! Loved the menu items and the service was great.
The oysters on the half shell for an app, followed by the potato crusted Cod was exceptional. Perfectly cooked, and delicious.
The food was great as usual. The service was terrible. It took 15 min for someone to even come to our table. Everything from getting someone to open a bottle of wine, the appetizers and getting the entrees took forever.
Fish entrees were very fresh. All food was delicious. Friendly staff.
Raimomdo's is consistently good food, good and very friendly service. Pre fixe early seating is wonderful.
My seafood carbonara dinner was out of this world and my husband had the veal porterhouse which was delicious. Emily the hostess always friendly and accommodating and all the servers there are top notch!
Always a consistent good meal with friendly service
Delicious food. Had a nice time for Valentines weekend, will come back
One of my favorites! Ambience is great. Cozy, quiet. Service can’t be beat. Food was delicious. Love the BYOB. Definitely need a reservation.
Had to wait 20 mins after we had a reservation. Took over 30 mins for entree to come out. Food was pretty good, but the wait was annoying
This was our 2nd time visiting, both with our 10 yr old daughter. This time we went for Valentines Day. We waited about 15 min after our 7pm reservation but that’s to be expected on a holiday like this. Service was good. We ordered the spiedini which we had the first time we went and again it was amazing. We did have to ask for bread when the appetizer was brought out. My husband ordered the Veal special which was a special but it was amazing. I had the seafood ravioli which was delicious but brought out cold. We had cappuccino and peanut butter pie which were both very good. We will definitely be going back.
Had an awesome Valentines Day meal here and everything from the appetizer to the dessert was delicious. The service was outstanding and the whole experience was well worth it. Can’t wait to return
I am not one to give bad reviews but i feel this needs to be said. My husband and I have heard good things about Raimondo’s and decided to give them a try. I am not sure we will go back because we were very turned off by our experience. I had made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance of our dinner so they were expecting us. It was 20 degrees and windy outside the night we went. They seated us on their porch which is in no way meant to be used in the winter. They had a couple of heaters but all the patrons were sitting with their coats on because it was freezing on the porch. The meals averaged $35 and up. For that price no one should have to be cold. It was such a disappointment to say the least. The food was good and the server did a great job. They need to take less patrons and fore go the porch in the winter. I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer.
This restaurant is excellent. The food is so delicious, from salad to entrees and finally and array of desserts. This was a girls weekend to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. The service was friendly, professional and easy. We also enjoyed is that it is BYOB, at this very nice restaurant with ambience. My only compliant is that it you felt the cold air when other parties joined or left. I would definitely dine again.
Food I great!!!
We are never disappointed when we have dinner at Raimondo's. The food is excellent and so is the service. One of the best restaurants on LBI, if not the best!
Great , delicious food
Excellent meal. We were with another couple and all four of us enjoyed our dining experience.
My friend and I went for the early bird dining. For the price of the entree, 4 courses were included: starter salad, entree, dessert and coffee. Everything was wonderful from the food to the service. This is one of my favorite restaurants on LBI.
Great meal as usual. They added a few new dishes to the early bird special . I had the Spaghetti and meatballs which was great and my wife had the Chicken Calabrese which is always a winner .
Consistently great service and fantastic food. Always leave with a doggy since the portions are more than ample
Service was not good
Always good food. Wait service was good. Actually I ordered something that used to be on the menu, but no longer is and they made it for me. No complaints at all.
Awesome meal as always! We have been dining at Raimondo's for over 24 years! Never ever disappoints!
We don't go out on LBI in season. Went there with friends during the week in January. It was a quiet evening but the place was busy. Turned out to be a great choice. All aspects of the dinner were excellent. All courses were presented beautifully and were delicious and plentiful. It's not cheap but I don't mind when you get a great meal. This was and we will be back..
We had the Salmon over onion demi-glaze and Seafood pasta. Everything was delicious. Great portion sizes. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Have not been here in years. While ownership changed the food and service was what we remembered it. Both outstanding.
Another fabulous dinner !
Another great meal with awesome staff
Delicious food, excellent service will definitely go back when looking for a nice evening meal.
We are locals. Eaten at Raimondo’s too many times to count. We will not be going back. Not after how we were treated tonight.
It was a fabulous 25 degree evening. Why would they have the patio open? Why would they take reservations for people to sit among space heaters and freeze?
Open table apparently seats you at any free table.
Raimondo’s should have called to say we’d be eating out in the cold. They didn’t.
I brought the fact that my family was frozen in our seats. The table was so cold. You could feel the wind from the beach coming inside.
The hostess was rude. She told me that no one else complained it was cold. That there wasn’t any room for us inside. The next table that was sat outside put their jackets back on, said they were cold. And requested more space heaters.
The manager (?) tried to explain something. No one understood what she said. She left. Left us in the cold.
Our waitress came and apologized. She told us she had been so cold working out their the previous evening. Showed us how she was wearing several layers this evening so she didn’t freeze while at work.
The food was great. Like usual. Too bad it was getting ice cold immediately. Make sure you eat the food on the edges of your plate first. They won’t be warm for long!
No one beside the servers cared that the people on the patio were cold.
No one apologized. No one tried to make it any better.
There’s no reason to be loyal to this local family restaurant. They do not care about their patrons.
