It was a disappointing experience. Not close to what it used to be. My family and I arrived 30 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant wasn’t full, still the host made us wait until exactly the time of our reservation. Food arrived 45 minutes after we order. Again, the restaurant wasn’t at capacity. My kids’ food and mine were hot, but tasteless. My husband’s food was extremely spicy, even though the menu didn’t specified it was. Finally we order a Volcano. Again, it arrived 20 later and the brownie was super hard and cold. We were under the impression that it was supposed to be hot, or at least warm. It was inedible. We waste so much time and so much money in this place that it was crazy. I don’t actually mind the lack of tasting, but the tardiness was truly annoying. Never again going back to this specific Rainforest Café. Horrible!
Our server was awesome! Delicious food and our toddler loved everything about the experience!
The waitress Jen was awesome despite having a ton of tables! Keep up the great work Jen! We will be back like always for our daughters birthday!
Seated 10 past reservation. Dining room was 1/2 full, 2 sandwiches and a cup of soup took almost an hour. The kids just wanted a quick lunch and to shop.
They were understaffed but for the expense and time wasted it was terrible.
Waitress was nice!
If you plan on eating there anytime, call ahead and make reservations the day before. Wait time is usually 1 1/2 hours without it..
Our waitress must have been overbooked. She said I will be right with you 3 times as she sped by. We did not see her smile once.
This is a great place to go especially if you have children. It was very entertaining and also relaxing at the same time. The sound effects from the rain, thunderstorms, and animals was quite enjoyable. The food was delicious.
Due to pandemic we had not celebrated both our birthdays so we decided to take a vacation and noticed a Rainforest Cafe was at this location mall of America we have dined at other rainforest Café it's an experience you don't really go for the food the food was not great not very flavorful but the service was good everyone that works there is very nice.
Great place for families. The atmosphere is cool, and really fun for the kids. The menu is great because they cater to both kids and adults. The blackened fish tacos were awesome. Our waiter was great too!
We went to celebrate my daughters birthday and she loved it. The adult food was yummy and the service was great!
Great service! Great food! Great menu! Fun atmosphere!
The service was slow even through the waiter was trying super hard. I think he just had too many tables post covid…. Overall the service was fantastic it just took forever for someone to take our drink order, food order, for the food to come, for the check…. Our kids where restless and ready to get out. It’s still a great restaurant I just think we are going to have to accept post covid it might take awhile for things to get back to normal.
We always love going to the cafe due to our daughter being fully entertained. Our waiter was really energetic and accommodating to anything we needed.
Was a 9yr Birthday, and for that it was perfect. Yes, the animated show that runs every 10-15min is loud, sometimes dark with the Rain storm… but the kids love it. The menu has a great selection of various food types, everything our party of 7 ordered was 5 star quality. Prices are a bit high, but the portions are plentiful which help offset the price. Overall it was an amazing kid experience
Awesome experience for our little family. Kids loved it so much
They need to hire more staff. I felt really bad because they obviously are trying hard to work with COVID stuff but if they used that 'outdoor' area it would help them out greatly. They forgot about us after seating us but our waitress was really apologetic and very nice. The food is good but I feel it is somewhat overpriced.
Had a reservation but waited 15 minutes to be seated. Sat for 15 minutes before our server came over. Food was fine. Waited so long for our check (kids got incredibly restless) that I paid cash so I wouldn't have to wait to get my card back!!! Given that we were there for lunch, I feel our experience should have been a lot shorter than it was; fine if you don't have kids or are just catching up with friends but not ideal with a 3, 6 and 8 year old!
Enjoyed rainforest environment. Expensive and food was tough.
Service was not on par with what I would expect from a fancy themed restaurant. Took several minutes to even get drink orders. When our food came all of us needed refills and our waitress hadn’t even come by since bringing the drinks. We had fun because it was a celebration for my sons birthday but I don’t think I plan to come back anytime soon.
A pleasant rainforest smell would be a move feature to add.
Great for kids but food was not good and took a long time to arrive
We were seated close to the front which we appreciated cause less noise. Alex our server was great.
Once we were seated. a full hour of my reservation time, the personal waitperson was great. Could see she was Extremely rushed but did a fine job. Food prices have gone up since last year/ This is a birthday celebration every year for my granddaughter and she was happy with her cupcake. The hostess greeting walk-ins seemed detached from her surroundings. Repeated over and over the wait is 2 hours and 45 minutes to all groups. Never updated that even after our hour wait. I know staffing issues are difficult, but with MOA opening up and summer family shopping, you have to do something to keep people coming back to your wonderful restaurant.
Food was mediocre at best. Atmosphere is fun. Waitress was wonderful. Took forever for the food to come out.
Great experience, not so clean around other tables.
Food was very mediocre and overpriced for an environment that was made for young children that are too young to realize there are much better attractions/interactive restaurants besides this chain.
The hostess was confused didn’t know where to sit people
Perfect place to bring children and toddlers. Great food and enough distractions for them to enjoy
We went to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday and the service was amazing. Our server was so sweet and so attentive. The food was hot and fresh. It was expensive but I guess you are paying for an experience. Overall it was great
Food took forever to get to the table. Not worth the wait or the price.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was absolutely amazing! I’m not sure our waiters name but our reservation was at 6:00pm on June 2nd with a male waiter. He was also the bartender that night and was absolutely phenomenal!
The server, Christopher, was excellent! He was kind, fun, and helpful and great with kids and adults.
Fun birthday experience for my son. He really enjoyed it. The food was good, good drinks for the adults, and he loved the animals around him.
Waited almost 1 hour for our food and our server never explained why. We had a table of 6 and was there for my daughter's birthday. Got kid drink refills but never for my husband and I. One of the kids meal's came out wrong. Gave the server my credit card when our meal arrived and still waited 20 minutes after we were done eating to get out credit card back. Nothing was compensated.
It was great for the experience, but ridiculously priced for the food otherwise.
Food was entirely mediocre. It’s fine for what it is, but definitely a ‘one and done’ experience.
My family and I went to the Rainforest Cafe for my daughter’s 11th birthday. The atmosphere is awesome and the rainforest vibe is so much fun. My daughter loved it. The food is okay; not bad and not amazing. The only thing we were really bummed about was that my daughter had watched the staff sing to other kids there for their birthday but they never came and did so for her, even though we did tell them it was her birthday. Her and I were both disappointed in this.
A bit pricey, but great service! Loved the atmosphere!
Server seemed irritated and indifferent at times. Food was really good, but service was far below what I am accustom to - especially for spending $150. I would still return because of the food and atmosphere.
