Great food.
We always enjoy a meal at the Rajpoot. The food quality can always be guaranteed as can its presentation and the service given. We recommend this restaurant highly.
Wonderful food
wonderful service
Only down side was this app didn't work when I booked the table on line, they had no recollection of it, even though I had e. Mail confirmation , but luckily they were brilliant and got us a table for four in 5 minutes ... Love the food and service and will be back again soon .. best Indian resturant in Dorchester . We have been many times and
will continue to eat at Rajpoot ... ( But I will phone and book my table like I always have )
Always a treat to eat at the restaurant. The food is plentiful and freshly prepared.
First visit to this lovely place. Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and best Indian food we’ve had for a while. Will definitely visit again soon😊
Busy Saturday evening. Seated early, drinks arrived fairly smartly. Nice buzz about the place. Our order was dead simple and I would have been disappointed to encounter any problems, but we didn't.
Quality of food was very very good. In and out in under 90 minutes. What's not to like?
Great restaurant, authentic dishes and they are also happy to create your favourite if it isn’t on the menu ....
Wonderful Halibut curry!
Excellent service, happy staff - great atmosphere!

It was recommended by a friend, nice enough ambiance and food if a little pricey.
Amazing flavours and great service
Never disappoints, always a good experience.
Booked this on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews and am so glad that I did. The food was really good.I second the recommendation for the Old Delhi chicken curry- it was amazing.
We visited whilst on holiday as we had been on a previous holiday and been really pleased with our dinning experience.
Unfortunately this time we were disappointed with the customer service.
We chose mixed platters for starters but there was something wrong with the chicken tikka.
We notified the waiter and he did not apologise or ask if we wanted an alternative.
We felt uncomfortable and unfortunately we wont be returning next year.
We were staying in the Dorchester area and wanted to find a good Indian restaurant. We did! The Rajpoot was excellent from the popadoms and great pickle tray through to the beautifully presented main meals.
Overall enjoyed the experience. Food was very tasty. Good variety and portion sizes were very generous.
Amazing food and service, been multiple times and never been disappointed.
Excellent food.... Excellent value......Excellent service..... great staff....
And as a connieseur if it wasn’t on the menu then they were happy to cook it and if you wanted a combination then they were happy to oblige..... everything cooked fresh and with a smile!
The halibut curry is to die for and each time they oblige me by cooking it in a different curry sauce!!
5 stars!
Fabulous restaurant and food always outstanding! Friendly staff who always make you feel so welcome. 5 *
Excellent presentation and taste as usual, thank you for a very nice evening.
Disappointed as had two excellent meals in the past. Meals were not spicy enough and both too much sauce. A mediocre meal.
Another good evening with great food at the Rajpoot
We are frequent visitors to Raj Poot but I have to say that this was the best evening we have had. Curries, all three very different, were terrific. Many thanks
Lovely, will definitely be going back ...............................
Beautiful place, felt welcomed immediately. Food and drink arrived in good time and was fantastic, authentic and beautifully prepared. Our server was great throughout and we left with yummy leftovers! Can’t wait to go back again, best Indian restaurant in Dorchester by a long way.
My son and I always come here as a treat. Last visit was for an early supper before going to the cinema. We shared the seafood platter to start. It was wonderful! Perfectly cooked and not so filling that we were able to enjoy a house curry afterwards. Highly recommended.
Went for my sons 16th birthday. Lovely curry and great price. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Food was excellent ,but felt rushed as soon as we had finished our meal were asked to pay ,in fact was asked 3 times in 20 minutes ,hadn't even finished our drinks!
We always receive great service and food at the Rajpoot, I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was lovely but there was very little atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant but it did feel like they were waiting to pounce.
We had a party of 10 and went for the Early Eaters menu at £12-50 for 2 courses and a drink. We also had papadums and chutneys to start with whilst we chose our dishes. Good value and service once the waiter confirmed that they had the early eating menu (he was not sure about it, although it is on their website).
Excellent food as usual, cool draft from door opening and closing spoilt what should have been a very nice evening.
Excellent place, much better than most Indian restaurants. Main problem is convenient parking but not much they can do about that.
Felt, we were rushed, even though I booked the table. They did provide food that was not in the menu. But after eating, we were brought the bill, before, we had finished. They hoverd about, until I produced the money, swooped down to get it. It was £58.25. I paid £60. I never received change. I did not make a scene, as I did not want to spoil it, for my girlfriend, as we were there, for Valentine's. I don't agree, with tipping, and even if I did, it's down to my discretion. We got up and left. I don't think anyone noticed.
The food was fantastic as usual, however, the restaurant advertised two courses for a fixed amount but we paid the full a la carte costs. We were not offered an alternate menu so I just presumed it was the same one for the deal. Other than that it was great
Decent meal but abysmal service. In fact I would say chaotic.
We had a wonderful meal at lunchtime on Saturday. This is by a mile the best Indian restaurant in Dorchester and we have gone back many times. The quality of the food and in particular the sauces and the presentation is very high and the service is friendly and efficient. The lower mark for the ambience was because we were the only ones in the restaurant, so it was not the fault of the staff - it would seem that Saturday lunchtime in January is not a popular time for an Indian meal. We will certainly be eating there again in the not too distant future.
Our party were well pleased with the evening. A birthday celebration for our daughter that was enjoyed and a request that we return again soon
Absolutely great food and great portions!
Sadly, conversations can be heard from all other tables, even 4/5 away, so we had to whisper. Staff were collecting around kitchen door and chatting loudly which was a bit distracting.
Would go again simply because the food was so fantastic, but choose my table carefully.
Lovely food, I like my rice piping hot and they accomodated this perfectly, can't wait to go back
Still one of the best curry houses in Dorset....
Been here several times and RAJPOOT never fails to deliver. From the fresh crispy poppadoms with gorgeous chutneys and raita to the tasty meals, rice and naans. We no longer live in the town but always make sure we visit when we are back visiting.
