   The location was easy to find. Love the fact that parking is easily accessible which is extremely important in Charleston! The food was delicious. My crab cake was mostly crab and very good! The shrimp and grits was “weird”. Waitress warned us it wasn’t typical. We had apps including toasted baguette with two butters, steamed shrimp and steamed oysters with jalapeño butter…yum! I do think the bread could be “free” but the sorghum butter and the jalapeño butter were good. Only complaint is that we had two fish and chips but one came way after the other meals which was unfortunate for one of our guests. We shared our other plates so it worked out. We would absolutely recommend and eat there again.

   Food was marginal at best for the price. The shrimp and grits tasted like cream of wheat with no flavor other than having squid ink making it look exotic.

   This place counts as kind of an undiscovered gem, in the sense that the food was outstanding, there is parking and it was not crowded, which is obviously rare for Charleston. It's located in kind of a commercial building but it's new and nice, we set outside but they have a big oval bar inside and plenty of seating. The oysters were excellent, good selection of wine and drinks, the food was really really good, oysters were excellent

   Went to restaurant following Dock Street play. Arrived early but were seated right away. Excellent waitress who provided excellent recommendations. Also very friendly. Food was delicious for small plate appetizers and main courses. Only disappointment for my wife was desserts (chocolate cake or equivalent was sold out). We decided not to have a dessert. We would go back again. (Note: the oysters were excellent according to the only member of out group who could eat them.)

   On the last weekend of our time in Charleston (relocating out of state), was craving good food, impeccable service, and convenient parking. Did not disappoint. Reservations were made via Open Table. Quickly greeted by hostess and seated. Our server, Diana, was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable of wines, oysters, and entree recommendations. We took our time reminiscing of our years in Charleston- Diana didn’t rush us and let us really relax during our afternoon. Enjoyed smoked fish dip, oysters, shrimp, and pan seared grouper. Perfectly coursed, cleared, and portioned. Couldn’t have been any better. Thank you Diana, chefs, and team. Job well done!

   We were traveling to Charleston on vacation with two teenagers and a five year old and wanted a good place for oysters for the adults. The problem was the menu was extremely limited and after we sat down the kids struggled to find something they would eat. It was also very expensive, as our bill was over $200 and we didn’t even get that much food. The ambiance was ok, not great but not bad. Service was good and waitress was very friendly. Probably wouldn’t recommend or go back. Food was good but not worth the price.

    Service was excellent. The Rappahannock oysters were solid - a touch of brine with buttery sweetness throughout. Split the shrimp curry and it was delicious; a great combination of flavor and spice. Will definitely return

    Randomly picked Rappahannock based on reviews. Never been but was pretty expensive for what you get. Paying $9 for a toasted baguette with 2 kinds of fancy butters is a bit ridiculous when one of the same butter comes on the cooked oysters. Not really worth it for the bread but the oysters were flavorful and pretty big. We were happy with the flavors of everything overall and would go back. Definitely worth a try!

    Great food but kitchen was slow. These days understaffed restaurants require patience and this one is no exception. Come before six for the happy hour oyster price. They were delicious. Fish entrees were perfect and accompanied by delicious and creatively prepared veggies. Server was knowledgeable and attentive. (also apologetic that the oysters took so long). We ate outside, with a view of the parking lot, but it was comfortable.

    The Shrimp Po Boy was the best thing I’ve eaten in my entire life!!! Highly recommend if you come here and the fries were the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was awesome and staff was great, but waiter could’ve been a tad more personable. Other than that this was amazing! A little pricey if you don’t mind spending $100 for 4 people

    First time at the restaurant. Service was great food even better. I had clams on the half shell, grilled oysters, shrimp with grits in a squid ink sauce, it was delicious. Others had scallops and crab cakes.

    After waiting about 10 minutes being seated without a server introduction, we were finally greeted with a large apology by a staff member. The slow start quickly turned around and within moments, we had two cocktails and two dozen beautiful oysters in front of us. They tasted superb with excellent texture and appropriate varietal salinity. Following the oysters, a double patty melt greeted me and a whole fresh snapper steamed and grill finished was presented to my husband. It has been a long time since I ate a cheeseburger and this one was an instant palette pleaser. Meat was fresh and juicy. My husband’s snapper was delicate and smooth in flavor. The herbal bunch steamed inside of it, sealed into the flesh. He was in heaven, especially after a bite of the collard greens on the side…..absolute representation of the Lowcountry. Overall, a wonderful experience that will have us coming back with friends and family.

    We were seated immediately (with a reservation). The place was super busy! Menu is varied so everyone can find something. The food is always delish! Our server Taryn is awesome; she has served us before. We’ve always had attentive and knowledgeable servers here. One of our favs.

    Took my girl here for valentines day. We had a fantastic time, best oysters in town! They had local Bulls Bay oysters from just up north in Awendaw. Everything else we ate was delicious too, mussels and clams were specifically good. Staff was really busy at first but as the rush settled down, they were very attentive and offered excellent suggestions. Very pleased with my experience.

    Receipts from Rappahannock, Sainte ends, Nova Scotia, and the Collinsville. Delicious. Then the mussels, Sofrito, outstanding. And a special surprise birthday cake. "Tres leches"!!

    We really had a lovely time here on a rainy pre Super Bowl Sunday. Oysters and ceviche very fresh and our meals Terrific. Bartender was terrific, helpful and fun. It was my husbands birthday and they provided a cake on the house which was extremely nice. Only complaint tho is when we ordered the whole fish entree listed at market price, we asked about the price and he didn’t know. When We received our bill for over $50 for this Entree we were extremely taken aback. This should have been mentioned in advance as there was truly nothing else in this price range. Again, a Great experience but tainted by this for sure. Fish was fabulous as it should be, shuckers terrific, but still.

    I was very excited with great anticipations of enjoying a delightful dining experience, but I guess I should have had no expectations, and then maybe I would not have been disappointed with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere. Party of four and we all left disappointed. Good luck, but I will likely not return.
