Red Ginger Dim Sum and Tapas
This restaurant has the most wonderful food! I've been 3 times and each time every dish we ordered was full of flavor. I will definately be back
Without a doubt, the best dim sum dining is in Asheville.
Better than Knoxville, Charlotte or Greenville SC. Definitely worth the drive if this is your hard-to-find cuisine.
Amazing dinner. Superb food and ambience. Staff was wonderful. 10/0
Loved the modern vibe with the traditional notes of art around. This is a real dim sum place, and the food was simply amazing. Must-have if you're in the area!
Excellent food and service. I will make it a priority for my next visit. Lobster roll and shrimp dumplings were fantastic. All compliments, no issues or complaints. Thank you!
Exceptional restaurant! You just feel better after eating here.
We had a wonderful dinner and our server was very helpful in suggesting some of the favorite and special items. We especially loved the Seabass and the dumplings
Loooooved the food! Highly recommend!
Once we got our waiter’s attention, he was responsive and attentive — but he was stretched too thin with too many tables getting started at the same time, and with each meal paced similarly.
Food great as always.
Too noisy, and the owners could do something to remedy this if they tried.
Red Ginger never disappoints! Food is delicious and service is always great.
Truly incredible food. You must have a reservation or be prepared to wait. We had a reservation and were seated right away. Great experience.
The manager was very surprised when I said they had a reservation through open table. Then he decided to take my date and to a two top right in front of the waiters station. I resisted punching him in the face because he quickly relented and offered us a better table.
We ordered five items, and we found two very objectionable. The first item is an oily tasteless fried rice. The second item was an order of steamed vegetable dumplings which were mostly dough and no filling or taste in them. P.F. Chang’s put’s them to shame.
Of the remaining items, the green beans were delicious and then the Buddha wraps were just ok. The seaweed salad was ok, but nothing special.
We were lucky to get a good waiter who guided us away from other worse items
My husband and I ordered multiple different kinds of dumplings. Our favorites were Szechaun Wontons and Pork dumplings shanghai style.
Always good- wouldn't mind if the menu changed up a little more often!
John was AMAZING! He waited for us and was SO patient. Food was AWESOME. The chocolate desert was to die for! Will be coming again! Thanks John!
Truly one of the best spots in Asheville. The food and service are always over the top.
The food had no flavour for me
After I told the waiter I am vegan and ordered, he brought a dish with egg in it. He apologized and brought me the same dish without egg.
It was the right place for a special occasion
Wonderful food! Can’t wait to try again.
Great food and service! Will come back!
Great selection, tapas style servings, fast and professional service
Been eating at red ginger since the opening. It's our go-to for special occasions, dates, out of towners. Love occasional seasonal menu changes. Always given table immediately upon entry with open table reservation.
Our table of 4 enjoyed every Dim Sum and Tapas item ordered. The cocktails were also nice - especially the Gimlet. My favorite dish was the locally sourced Spicy Mountain Trout - also the green beans in garlic sauce. Yum!
Really enjoyed the food. Will definitely be going back!
Fantastic food, huge variety, truly an experience!
The food was great. The service was a bit slow and inattentive. Great atmosphere.
We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated. In spite of being early, I felt that they were in a rush for us to finish. I ordered hot and sour soup "to start." Three spoonfuls into eating my soup, other dishes began to arrive. There was no sense of staging. Soup was okay as were pot stickers and spring rolls - but just okay, nothing special. Tuna tataki was very plain, served with no dipping sauce. Eggplant dish was just limp eggplant sticks. My companion and I both love eggplant, but we didn't bother to finish this dish.
Getting better every time I go. We need good Chinese food in Asheville
So delicious, fast, and inexpensive. We loved everything we ordered!
Great restaurant! Very fresh seafood... great presentation...
We like this restaurant. The food is good (not great).
Great dim sum. Extremely tasty and authentic. Service was good and having a diverse selection of small plates to share made for a very pleasant evening.
Every dish we ordered was delicious, as was the sake! We enjoyed the ambiance, as well. I definitely want to return and try some more dishes!
Lively and vibrant simple restaurant. All the food was spectacular. We're had the won ton and hot and sour soups, spring rolls, swechwann dim sum, fresh takaki, and more stuff. It was ALL great. Oh, yeah, end the dinner with the limoncello dessert. If we lived closer, we would be there every week!
Great food and environment. Order as you go. Loved it!
Hard to order with almost too many choices between dinsum and tapas. Some choices were outstanding while others just so-so. Expected more intense flavors/presentations and had to just settle on so-so.
The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We were seated at the time of our reservation and our waitress was very pleasant. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Asheville!
