Red Gravy

Red Gravy is a quaint neighborhoodItalian restaurant. Strictly followed COVID protocols, which is appreciated. Service was prompt and friendly. Excellent martinis. WE ate the meatball app, wild boar ragu, mushroom ragu over ricotta gnocchi, and pasta bolognese. Food was excellent! Will be back for some more red Gravy!

Food was delicious. There was a person making pasta in the restaurant for all to see. The prices were very high.

Fresh authentic Italian food. IMO, best in the city. Lasagna Bolonese was incredible.

Another great meal at their new location uptown. We ate in the big outdoor courtyard under a heat lamp. Tried two new dishes, and they were both fantastic. This is the best Italian food in the city right now.

They kept messing up the order the food was undercooked they did take it back and redo it and it came out good the second time but never had a manager even come over and apologize nor did they give us any form of an accommodation after they messed up both on the appetizer in the dinner and then the salad came after the dinner and we had to constantly remind the waitress about that as well as an extra meatball that was ordered after she up sold us

Great outdoor courtyard with six or eight well-spaced tables. Excellent, knowledgeable service. Delicious food, well-prepared, adequate quantity but not too heavy. Good mixed drinks. Will be back.

This is such an amazing establishment with wonderful staff. Everything we've ordered has been fabulous. The brunch menu is my favorite, but dinner is outstanding too. The polpetta omelet is my favorite, but you also must try the bacon cinnamon roll, absolutely to die for. You can never go wrong with the homemade meatballs with gravy. My only wish is that I lived closer.

All the pastas we had were fantastic! Highly recommend the carbonara and bolognese. Our waiter Tim was the best and so friendly. Will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic first visit at Red Gravy. The Enzos was wonderful! We also has the veal Marsala and the Carbonara, literally the best we've ever had in Nola. The owner came out and spoke to us, she was the highlight of our evening. We will definitely be going back!

The service here is impeccable, The staff treats you like family (or better in the case of my family) but you come here for the food, and that is why you come back. Italian with a creative lant is the core of the menu. You can taste the care and passion in every bite.

The restaurant was not "that" busy. It took us 30 minutes to get waters and bread. Our waitress brought 4 thin slices of french bread with a garlic butter. We asked for more--I thought 4 thin slices was pretty stingy considering we just waited 30 minutes for it. She brought 4 more and no butter this time. We were out from the first time. When we got the bill, we were charged 4.50 for the second basket. They should be ashamed to charge for just bread when the service was as bad as it was. The food was very good but the service was SO slow it was ridiculous.

Red Gravy is one of the best meals I’ve ever had in New Orleans! Their meatballs are to die for and HUGE, and we also shared some incredible lasagna and ricotta gnocchi with wild boar ragu. Cozy atmosphere (would be great for a first date or anniversary dinner) and exceptional service. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

The new location is much brighter but lacks the European charm of the previous location. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Everyone enjoyed our brunch.

While the food was good, there were a few problems that made the dinner unpleasant: (1) the AC must have been on MAXIMUM power and we were freezing (2) the wait staff were extremely loud when talking to customers... as though they were hard of hearing, though there were no other sounds (3) It took around 15 minutes just to get our drink order to our table.

This was our first time at the new location. It isn't as funky and warm inside, but it will get there, I'm sure. Loved the outdoor seating area. The service was very good and the food was excellent, as usual. Our only complaint was that the mussels were too small. They were the size of clams, if that. Otherwise, we have no complaints. Welcome back, Red Gravy!!!

Delicious food, outstanding service, and lovely ambiance on the back patio.

We shared a. Pasta dish, eggplant appetizer and delish bread. Coffee after. They let us take our time over it all. Great dining experience!

Not a bad meal, but I don't feel like I must return.
