Red's Restaurant and Lounge @ the Sea Crest Beach Hotel
For the prices they charge to stay at this hotel the food quality is terrible. Limited options and just poor quality all around.
Very friendly staff. They are clearly short staffed like everyone else but they were making the best of it and it was service with a smile. Chowder was out of this world. Hubby had a burger which he said was good. I had the super food salad with salmon. Fruit and veggies impressively fresh but dressing a little blah. Can’t beat the location overlooking Old Silver especially during sunset. It wasn’t super busy for a Friday night but we went early (6). Prices not terrible for height of season Cape Cod. Overall a great option for hotel dining and we will definitely go again!
The service is always outstanding and the staff are lovely
Absolutely terrible - young kids screaming, cold food, well overpriced. Great view but need shades since it gets too bright. 0/5
Amazing waitress , unfortunately slow service. Dirty glass and plates, however food was very good! My drink was phenomenal, and the strawberry salad was better than expected.
Good average and pricey but best place to see the sunset as the Seacrest is right on the beach : Old Silver. Have been coming here for years and can say the food is not what it has been in the past.
Ordered drinks…bartender decided to give us a different drink. Ordered watermelon vodka with soda. Got vodka, bitters, watermelon liqueur with vodka. Both of them have diabetic issues. This drove the glucose levels up.
I Ordered salad with chicken …got salad with some type of seafood (tuna). Manager told me chicken was cross-contaminated but offered to take chicken only of our bill. Seriously!!!! Horrible management!!!
After we ordered our server came back 15 minutes later and asked us if we would like to place our order. We reminded her that we ordered.
We will never dine at Red’s ever again!!!! Horrible customer service!!
Food was on par with a junior high cafeteria. Disgusting.
Not to impressed. I expected more from a restaurant in Sea Crest Hotel.
The menu was below adequate. The food was average. The drinks were ok nothing great.
The menu online did not reflect the offerings at the restaurant. The hostess was rude , would not change our table when we asked even though there were many empty table that no one sat at the entire time we were there. The restaurant was dirty and not appealing at all. We will never revisit. Very disappointing and overpriced. We decided not to eat dinner and ordered an appetizer. The chicken wings came out with the wrong sauce and were the worst chicken wings we ever had.😕
Have been going to Red's for years.
Menu was very slimmed down, but everything we ordered came pretty fast.
Staff were attentive and the sunset was beautiful.
Just needs some menu tweaking to expand on seafood offerings , prices were far, just needs a better balance.
We will be back without question.
Red’s is part of the Sea Crest Resort. If we didn’t have Open Table reservations they probably wouldn’t have let us in for lunch as at the gate they said it was closed to the public until 5:00pm, but with reservations we got in. We sat overlooking a crowded beach and the ocean beyond. The kitchen was slow, but a good waitress and we like mussels, shrimp cocktail, fish sandwich and yummy summer house cocktails. Four drinks, two appetizers and two sandwiches for lunch was $110.
Gorgeous view!! Best around.
Great window seating
Need more entree choices
Snack bar food
Great service and food.
Friendly professional staff.
I’ll be back!
I felt bad for everyone working here. The restaurant is a giant lie! We made a reservation here and took a $30 car based on the selection on the menu and outdoor seating around sunset. Upon arrival they asked if we had a preference in where we wanted to sit we said outside. The host said sorry there isn't outdoor seating. She looked like we were the hundredth person she told that day. We then sat in the overly sterile dining space that field like a cafeteria run by the federal government. We opened the menu and realized that this place is a total farce. 90% of the menu isn't available, 1 of the 3 entrees is chicken fingers! We're in Cape Cod and not even a real fish dish was on the menu?!?! We asked if this was the bar menu. The server explained that that was the full menu and that she knows that it's disappointing. She then said if we just wanted to leave she wouldn't blame us. We felt bad and ordered a round tipping the server 100% of the bill. We then left and gave our money to another restaurant who doesn't have to lie in order to get customers. I'm a Chef at a restaurant in Philly and understand times are tough, but this was insane. The owners should be embarrassed by what a joke their restaurant is.
the view is beautiful and the service and drinks were fantastic
Give Colin a raise.
Dined here a few nights with friends and their families. Food was good but on the steeper side. I had a Strawberry salad with steak tips which was fantastic (but pricy). My daughter had the shrimp cocktail and they were huge!!!!
Menu was not what was expected. Please update. Food was good and service great.
We have been coming to Seacrest every year for about a decade and the food at Red’s is normally very good. This year their menu is exactly the same as their takeout beach window menu, which is very disappointing. The menu you see on the Seacrest website and on OpenTable is completely different than the menu you receive when you sit down. The service was good and the views are nice, but some of our food was not, particularly the chicken on their salads. The chicken is pre-cooked and then reheated which is why other reviewers have made comments about its dryness. I would not recommend eating here until they upgrade their menu and differentiate it from the takeout window.
Good food, good service.
Nice restaurant. Recommended.
Never to return! Waited almost an hour for our food! AND, we were only 2 people. Tables of 8-10 must have been even more frustrated.
Nice view and good service but the food was not good. Chicken was dry with no flavor.
Went with another couple for dinner before a comedy show. The hostesses were fast and friendly. The bread service was fast and Olivia, our server, was just great. A wonderful personality.
Bad food, overpriced, small portioned, limited menu, slow service
Reds is purposely committing fraud. They knowingly post a dinner menu on Open Table that is not available. They only have the lunch menu available. You will feel terribly disappointed when you arrive and see the menu.
Very disappointed. Nothing that is listed on their published menu was available. Only had 3 dinner entrees. Waitress was good and constantly apologizing about everything saying everyone has been saying the same thing. Very empty feeling dining room. Just tables and chairs no atmosphere at all. Prices were above food offerings and quality. Needs MAJOR improvements if we’re ever to return. Guest from the hotel must have already figured this out. Hotel was completely full and very small dining room was only half full at dinner time. Staff outside of our waitress all appeared to be there on their first day. Staffing with post Covid is tough so that gets the pass. Misleading with published menu and poor food quality does not.
Excellent food, exceptional service, great view…, the Salmon salad was amazing going back tonight!
Disappointed. The menu I found online was more extensive.
We love you guys every time!! Maddie was our waitress and honestly I wanted to be her friend she was so great!
Beautiful views from the dining room but the menu was like an outdoor pool bar lunch menu. It was dinner time on Fathers Day so to avoid total disappointment we left before the water glasses were filled and had a nice dinner elsewhere. Weird experience for sure.
The menu in the restaurant was the same as was available all day poolside. It’s really not that good of quality and very overpriced for what it is.
Meal was okay fish chips overcooked was kinda taken back when you guys let people come in barefoot and wearing thong bathing suits really not healthy while eating with everything going on in the world really should have a sign stating that sorry just owe many places and I don’t allow that ans men should really wear hats inside but the place could be really nice
Could have more selections as the menu only has a handful of dinner selections. The view could help if menu was better.
Food was overpriced and appeared to have been frozen and reheated. Menu was limited. Beautiful location right on the water, but sun was beating right into our eyes and there were no shades or anything else to offset it. Service was good.
Only two tables, with four workers and service was painfully slow. Never filled water glasses. Brought mudslide in small plastic cup and could not taste alcohol $12. Soda water was 4 oz no refill all ice $3. Burnt my burger and bun . When I told the waitress she responded with,” but how was the rest of the food?” Charged $10 for a children’s grilled cheese sandwich and gave nothing with it. View amazing, very clean, waitress was sweet but not trained. When I went to look for her to pay bill found all four waitress and waiters in small hall off the dining room on cell phones. Been going for years. Use to love mudslides. Left very disappointed.
