Elizabeth was our server again and she was absolutely amazing! Excellent with suggestions and service was spot on! Food is always perfection and we love how the owner comes out and says hi to the patrons.

Excellent venue, electic menu that has something for every gourmand! Waiter was very attentive. As expected, COVID precautions put a dent in creating an ambience that would have otherwise been warm and inviting. Drinks were reasonably priced. Definitely on my local faves list.

We have been dining at Region most weekends Region since it opened. We love the creativity of the dishes, the knowledge and professionalism of the bar and wait staff, as well as the warm, welcoming demeanor of the hosting staff and owners. Wishing them a very successful 2021!

Region never disappoints, and has been the case for our last few visits, just gets better and better. The main menu is fantastic, but the specials are seasonal and are not to be missed. It easily is one of the best restaurants in the Chicago area.

Creative menu. Fresh ingredients. Protections around tables for COVID takes away from the normally great outdoors feel. Always great staff and service.

Food, service and atmosphere were all perfect! Menu was very diverse and offered something for everyone. We had a party of 6, and everyone rated it as fantastic!!

We celebrated my birthday, one of our best restaurant experiences! The food was wonderful and fresh. Service with Katie was perfect, the ambiance was peaceful and fun.

This place never fails to impress us. This visit my wife order the pork chop which was one of the specials for the evening. When it came, it looked so large that my wife commented on how she was going to half of it home... She didn't. It was so good that she couldn't stop eating it. The pork chop with the cheese and the apple topping was just so good she couldn't stop.
I had their Ciopinno, a delicious seafood stew with sea bass, shrimp, scallops, and mussels in a rich broth that must have taken hours to develop all that flavour. If you love seafood, this is the dish for you.
And don't forget the dessert. My wife had the cobbler and I hate the English toffee sticky pudding, both served al a mode. A wonderful ending to an excellent meal.

Amazing as always

Food and value good. Attitude of the staff especially our server was that worst we ever had. Not welcoming or friendly at all. We will not come back, but I think that was the goal...

I received a gift card from Region as a Christmas gift, so I decided to check it out. One word. WOW! The food was amazing. I had the beef short rib with spinach and potatoes, and my bf had the cioppino and said it was outstanding. There is a lot of variety on the menu, so it was hard to choose - but that's a good thing! The price of food for the quality and quantity are a good value. I'm definitely going back!

The main courses were enjoyed by all. The desserts were fantastic so be sure to leave room. Also appreciated the great selection of fine bourbons. It’s always nice to have a choice of selections that cover all price ranges.

Region has become one of our favorite restaurants. We can count on the food always being above and beyond excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly.
Barrington is very lucky to have such a great place to meet with friends for either a casual night out or celebrating a major event while enjoying fabulous meal.

1st timer and everything was wonderful. Made a new reservation fir New Years Eve.

All of the food was delicious.... highly recommend starting with the bang bang cauliflower and then enjoy the fall of the bone ribs or the tender pork chops. Don’t forget dessert you may want one of each be sure to try the English Toffee date cake. Definitely a fantastic meal. We will be back again soon.

Region has great service and the food is absolutely amazing. We look forward to every time we dine there. Try the 500 degree steak appetizer, it is a fun experience and so delicious.

Region was as spectacular as always. It is such a great addition to the basic food desert (with a couple of exceptions) that there was in Barrington before they opened. Their food is simply the best, and they were very accommodating in every way. While the pandemic is a challenge, they’ve met the challenge and hopefully will be around for a long time. If you haven’t tried them, you’re in for a treat!

Chef Dave runs a very special place here. His food is creative, flavorful, and artfully put together. French onion soup was served IN an onion, a fun hot rock appetizer with two yummy sauces that you cook yourself, and he made me a spicy vegetable medley that was probably the best thing I’d ever eaten. All the tables are divided by floor to ceiling curtains - being very Covid careful. Servers are attentive and very well trained. Just a pleasure to dine here. Can’t wait to be back!

Had to eat outdoors. Heaters were insufficient. Food and service were an 11. We dine out a lot. This place is good.

We were so happy that Region was open during this COVID time. They had curtains between every table and were extremely CovId careful. We had the Hot rock steak and tuna which my husband absolutely loved. The sauces were amazing! And for ME - Chef Dave came out and offered to put together a special spicy vegetable and black rice plate for me. It was unbelievably perfect! I felt like I was eating at our favorite spot in Aspen! It was just special. Katie was the perfect server - excited and very informed about the food. Great experience. Well run and great attention to detail. Highly recommend. :-)

One of my very favorite spots that is definitely doing everything to provide a safe dining environment during COVID. Tables are well spaced, there are over head heat lamps AND personal heaters that can be placed next to your table if you need them. My husband and I were there for a relaxing 2 hr. dinner and were never cold. Of course the food was fabulous as always and the waitstaff was excellent too!
