Revelwoods Tavern & Terrace is a modern tavern in Calgary’s East Village, built around Southern cooking, French influence, and the kind of dining that encourages you to stay awhile.

The menu centres on charcoal-fired cooking over hickory, oak, and pecan woods, with generous plates designed to move easily across the table. Expect local and Western beef, fresh coastal fish, seasonal produce, and familiar Southern flavours handled with restraint.

Come for lunch, settle in over cocktails, stay for dinner. Revelwoods is made for good appetites, proper drinks, and a little more pleasure than strictly necessary.

The food was excellent. Considering that it was not very busy when we were there it took quite sometime to get our food. Furthmore we had ordered some appetizers and it did not come first it came together with our maincourses. Appetizers are to be served first to warm up the pallet and then the main course show come.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious, and the service went above and beyond. Our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot, had long hair and was incredibly kind and attentive. She is amazing ! Justin, the GM, made our double birthday celebration extra special. He kept checking in on us, and the attention to detail was incredible. They even gave us a signed birthday card, which was such a thoughtful touch! Every little detail showed that they genuinely care about their guests and making the experience memorable!! The Whisky Peach cocktail is a MUST-TRY! So delicious and incredibly smooth, but you can still taste the whisky. Definitely one of my favourites! We will absolutely be back. Delicious food, incredible hospitality, and such a memorable birthday experience. Highly recommend!

We celebrated our Friend’s birthday at RevelWoods yesterday, and the team went above and beyond our expectations! The handwritten birthday card and special dessert were such thoughtful touches and made the evening feel extra special. The food was delicious, with shareable portions that were perfect for trying different dishes together. They also had a great variety of drinks, and we’re already looking forward to coming back to try more. Thank you to Gabrielle, Eva, and Brenden for making his birthday such a memorable one!

Food was outstanding. We tried a variety of meats and sides and all the meats were cooked exactly as requested. Their specialty coal oven gave great flavour. It was a shame to see the restaurant so quiet on a Saturday night for how good it is. I haven’t heard a single thing about it or seen any marketing. They could use it.

Food was great and so was the service. It wasn’t too busy when we got there but everything seemed reasonable and not delayed. Will definitely go back

Food was good, restaurant was not very busy for lunch. Service wasn’t great. Empty plates and dirty cutlery left on the table, even after dessert was served. Waitress moved the the dirty plates around the table to make room for dessert and then just left. We eventually just moved all the plates, forks/knives, serving bowls to the table next to us so we had room to eat dessert.

Good.. something happened where the kitchen wasn’t getting the orders. I get this happens sometimes but then we had 2 extra orders of oysters served- served differently each time. The pork belly came cold the first time. They gave us some coupons to use but they are both if you spend $75 or more. I dunno. I feel indifferent about the food. Maybe I’ll try it when it’s been open for longer.
