RG’s American Grill
Valentine’s Day service a little slow but still good the special menu was outstanding . Not a fancy looking place but the plating and menu was wonderful
Went for a Valentines dinner, there was a set menu to choose from. We were seated and didn't see a waitress for about 15 minutes. I could go on and on about the experience. Lets just say that it was bad from start to finish, and we will not be patronizing the place again. A $ 350 meal for four that left a bad taste in all our mouths.
Service was great, food was good but ambiance needs work
The staff are very courteous, helpful and friendly. The bar and adjacent seating are high energy areas with numerous big screen TVs. We prefer the new dining room without big screen TVs where we can enjoy a more relaxed dining experience.
My wife and I went for Valentine's dinner. We did not realize we had to order from a set menu when we made the reservations.
Upon arrival we noticed we didn't really need reservations, the restaurant was only about half-full. After being seated we had a server come by quickly and say she would be right back, but never did. Finally after about 10 minutes another server came and took our drink and dinner orders.
First came the risotto with shrimp scampi. The risotto was clearly a boxed risotto with a cheddar base and bits a shrimp. Not so good. The second course was lobster bisque. It was grainy. When cooking the base they either didn't strain the sauce or didn't mix the roux well. The flavor was OK. For the main course we had the New York strip. It only came medium, which is disappointing. The cut was very thin. The sauce was good. The sides were a scoop of mashed potatoes and a broccoli spear. For dessert chocolate or vanilla cake. Both were very plain. For $65 per person it was a huge disappointment and not worth the money. The server was not very attentive. She did not ask if we wanted another drink. The drinks were the one positive. I had an Old Fashioned. They did an excellent job on that. I will not go back and will not recommend.
Very good food, tasty with great look and well cooked. My wife had a pork chop and it was cooked perfectly which is not always easy with a thick cut chop, it was moist with a great sauce. I had gnocchi which was pillow soft with a pesto sauce that was delicious. Service was good. Wince selection was good as well. Ambiance could use some work, it was quite but needs some art work. It is a new place and was refurbished from a restaurant that was there before. Very clean. The front is a sports bar and great to have an alternative in Redlands.
Definitely will go back again. Great bread by the way.
Great service great
Great great great
Everyone is so great here - the customers the servers the food! We’re going back again tonight!
Poor service and overpriced food. I don’t know if they’re trying to be a nice restaurant or a sports bar but it’s a place I won’t go back to to find out when they make up their mind
We absolutely love RGS and go as often as possible. We have. We can eat great food and not worry about bringing our three year old along. I have so many favorite dishes it’s hard to choose and best tasting kids pizza :)
Marie and the food was excellent!!
Wine by the glass was pricey. Should have just bought a bottle. We love it there!
Wonderful dining experience. The Cioppino was very flavorful. Chicken Marsala and Piccata were big hits. The wine was very good and reasonably priced. The topper was the fantastic service on Christmas eve.
Christmas Eve dinner was very nicely done. Food was great and the staff were very festive for the occasion. Hard to find from the Yelp map!
Delicious! Nice ambiance! Great service!
