【閉店】Ri Ra Irish Pub - Atlanta
We hand a nice time there for the St. Patricks day party.
Overall had a good experience. Was there just to try something new. Had a reservation through open table but when we got there we were told we’d have to wait 30 mins for a table. We were able to sit at the bar were the ATL United event was. The atmosphere was awesome. They only had the one bartender there though and we had to go from our table to the bar to get drinks, order food, and pick up our own food. We had a good time but service wasn’t there.
we planned out trip around a visit to this pub because of the beers listed on their website. When we were arriving in town got a call saying they couldnt honor reservstions because some night was happening that night. We ended up paying a 20 dollar cover (for 2) for the fight at 8 o clock (despite sign on door saying entry after 8:30 requires cover) we sit down and quickly find out they no longer carry the drafts we want. We decided to eat their anyway since we paid to get in . i order a blue moon as an ok beer. Look at the full price glass they give me. Food taisted good but we quickly left after the food (and before the fight) swearing not to return to this establishment
Great find just south of 14th street in Midtown, a pub with that Irish flare, go check it out!
Enjoyed our meal but was saddened to hear that they're closing sometime in the next few months.
Best Ruben sandwich I had in a long time.
Business lunch with 5 people...Excellent food & service. Informal atmosphere which is what we wanted.
Everything is perfect!!! Just the waiters are kind of slow.
The food was a little bland and greasy. The restaurant has a nice decor and beautiful bar. It wasn’t worth what we paid.
Trivia night on Thursdays! Beer was great! Had the fish tacos. They were very good.
Dinner was great! Seven people and we all really enjoyed our meals. The service was lacking. Had to ask several times for water and drinks, and it is very loud in there. But the food is delicious!
Manager was rude and we had to beg for service for brunch. Bartender saved the meal and was phenomenal
We ate at RiRa twice during our stay in Atlanta. The first night because it appeared in our path as we were quite finished walking and anywhere would do just fine. The bartender was so friendly and entertaining that we returned with local friends on our last night in town. Again the food was excellent and the service was great. I enjoyed the Irish Curry dish and one of friend's the fish and chips. The consensus that RiRa has the the best fish and chips in Atlanta.
I would give it an excellent rating for the live music and the band that played. The food and drinks are overpriced-$10 for a Guinness is a bit much. I did love the ambiance, except for the drunks banging on a table and breaking glass during the music. They should have been escorted out quickly, to keep the pub classy. Others were annoyed as well. All in all, the best part was the band (The Glass Flowers) and the cozy building.
Service and food were very good
The server was very unattentive. She forgot one of our orders and seemed to disappear for long periods of time. With that said the food was good.
We went to Ri Ra for a Pride Weekend brunch with the gang. We had reservations, they were ready on time and we had a great area to sit and enjoy. Our server was attentive and we had come great drinks and food. The place has a awesome Irish pub feel. Give it a try.
The AIDS Walk was in progress which caused Ri Ra to be quieter than usual. Just back from the UK, we needed a pub fix. Breakfast hash was yummy. Watched soccer and football at the same time. Nice way to start the week!
Terrible experience on a televised away game day. Horrible, slow service and the menu for game days is pathetic. Food was cold and awful.
I made a reservation and when showed up at restaurant was turned away because the restaurant was having a private event.
We arrived on time and were seated quickly. Everyone was very friendly. We requested a standard table but the only one available was in front of the stage with musicians setting up. We opted for a high top farther away from the stage. We were seated under the TVs and there were several groups there watching a soccer match. All of the yelling was directed forward. It was too loud.
While I appreciate the need to consolidate waitstaff areas, the two tables next to us were also struggling to hold conversations and struggling to fit. Both tables were the same group of older adults. We commiserated as they were overflowing their tables. We offered them space at ours since we were only two at a four top.. Our reservation wasn’t for late night. I recommend you close or open your other dining areas on a case by case basis. You had three tables of older adults who would have enjoyed quiet tables and stayed longer if conversation were an option.
The service was friendly if not prompt and the food was great. Unfortunately, the loud environment makes this a hard no for us for meals in the future. I’ll probably meet friends there for cocktails, but my husband wouldn’t return if his life depended on it.
My partner and I stopped at Ri Ra Irish Pub for a few drinks and some snacks late at night. Our waitress was incredibly nice, and we chose a night with live music as well. The bar, staff, and band were all fantastic. Would definitely go back if I am in Atlanta again!
Be prepared for a bit of noise if you go when there's a Chelsea soccer game on TV
Generally, the food was very good. My onion rings were room temperature -- they were apparently sitting for awhile -- but, overall, very few complaints. The ambiance was wonderful -- lively but not overpoweringly loud -- and the service was just great. We didn't go there to watch a sporting event but I suspect it's rocking for Atlanta United games. I would recommend for casual dining.
We had a reservation and they didn’t have a spot for us for the World Cup final. Ordered food that never came. Out of almost all drinks.
We were taken to our seats and served with cold Guinness in minutes. The Nashville chicken sandwich and Fish N Chips were amazing. We were able to watch the USA soccer game with no issues. Thanks for a great time!
I was here to watch a World Cup match. It was pretty busy so I understand that it took my food allowed to come. However, it seems that almost an hour is a bit excessive. Also, my waitress forgot to bring my drink to me.
The service was pretty poor - very slow at times. There were 6 of us and food took a bit long to arrive. 5 meals arrived and the last meal did not arrive for another 12 minutes. Server did not seem too interested in offering explanation / assistance. The taste of the food was not bad. By the time the last plate arrived, almost everyone else was finished with their food. Server did not try and correct the situation. I had to ask for the meal to be removed from the bill. Wont’t be going back anytime soon.
Watch Party for #USWNT
Made reservations for Fathers Day and the USWNT soccer match. No problems ordering drinks but was told when we were ready to order lunch that the server would not be able to put the order in for 40 minutes and the appetizer we had ordered would not be out for some time. We had to get the check and find another restaurant to eat since we got this news around 1pm.
I recommend that the restaurant go with a limited menu during big sporting events to help the kitchen keep up with the demand.
They did not honor my reservation that I also confirmed on the phone in advance. The food took over an hour and the service was not good. If someone, anyone, the server or manager, would have simply acknowledged that they were busy and running behind on the food, we wouldn’t have cared. But no one did a table visit. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!
Server was amazing wish I could remember her name, she made me feel like I was the only person in the restaurant. I had the Reuben and it was best I’ve ever had. House made corned beef was incredible. Will go again and try fish and chips or cottage pie
Food was good and we got a secluded table for conversation as requested. One dish (salmon) was overcooked but the chef came and apologized, brough a new piece and gave a free beer. Allother dishes were good and well priced. Great service.
We went at 9:45 on Mother’s Day for Championship Sunday and had a great experience! We have been several times before and will definitely go back! Food, drink, atmosphere were exactly what we wanted for the games! And my Mother’s Day! 😂 ⚽️
It is a very nice place, the service was paying attention at all times and the burgers we asked for were very good. Great for a quick but with a nice scenario lunch.
It was great as was our server! Loved the authentic irish architecture!!
Great hangout to watch the game with friends. Atmosphere was good and not too noisy.
While it can get kinda loud/crowded on weekends, if you want to watch a game and have a drink and/or food, it's a great midtown neighborhood place.
The staff were friendly and professional, and the pub was neat.
Unorganized and rude staff. I was seated, then went outside to bring my date in and when I returned with her, our table had been given away to someone else by a different host. When I asked the host, he was defensive and rude, telling me "don't worry. I have other tables I can give you." I didn't want to lose my cool with him on a first date, so I swallowed my anger and said, "fine", but I was furious. I was frustrated that the staff is so uncoordinated that they gave my table away and then angry that I was disrespected in front of my date, by a rude host who acted like I was being ridiculous or over-reacting to OUR TABLE BEING GIVEN AWAY!. His answer that I need to not worry, that implies that my reaction of frustration was unwarranted and that all tables there are the same. What if I liked the setup at the table I was originally seated at? And during this interaction with the rude host, not once did he apologize for the mistake of giving our table away or validate the concern and frustration I had. This is unacceptable. He needs to be re-trained. He is very unfriendly and rude. On top of this, it might as well just be another generic sports bar, bc the TV's everywhere and the loud noise from those watching soccer ruined the Irish pub vibe. My date and I had to shout to hear each other. I even moved right next to her and struggled to hear her. It was obnoxious. This wasn't St. Patrick's day or anything like that. It was a Thursday night. It was excessive noise. On top of that, the food was very mediocre to good, but quite over priced for what you get.
