The food just kept coming ! Everything was delicious just watch out for those chillies ! All the staff where super friendly and we had an awesome time sitting up at the spacious bar

We felt so looked after. Our waiter was fun and playful but professional and we all had such a great time. Food was so tasty (scallop special as a hit and the snapper ceviche to die for. We were in the back room for a farewell dinner and had an absolute ball. Thanks team

Food was not great - both in size and taste. Felt sick after. Service was slow and not good.

Food was fantastic, atmosphere was good, just a little bit disappointed that we got seated outside right on the foot path where every single person was walking past us, service was abit average, we were all abit disappointed as weren’t given notice about how long we would have left to get drinks and then the waitress told us we had 15 minutes and couldn’t order anymore drinks and basically got kicked off our table with only 5 minutes notice. That would say was the only downfall. The food was great, but the attentiveness was very average, I love coming to your restaurant as it’s such a great place, atmosphere, food is always good but this time unfortunately service was a let down.

The staff were very friendly, and helpful with my queries (re: dietary restrictions) during the booking process. I bought a cake for my friends birthday and the staff were totally on it, bringing it out with sparklers and then serving it up.
The food and drinks were delicious and we enjoyed the banquet style service. Vegan and celiac dining options were plentiful. Drinks (both mock and cocktail) were excellent.
They also did their best to make our table comfortable even through we were seated outside on the street. However, the stools were not comfortable.
Overall a delicious dining experience that was elevated by the excellent table service.

Delicious food, felt good value for money, a lot of variety and you order a few little plates to share. Did find it a bit loud, but it was also lots of fun!

I went with my wife for her birthday, the food was delicious and the staff were fantastic. They were very friendly and informative which made the experience better!

Excellent first experience. The music was very loud when we first arrived however after a request to turn down, the level of sound was perfect. Thank you.

System of table allocation is messy even if you have reservations. Not sure where to queue to be seated. No one asked if you are looked after when you arrived. Once seated, service is good. Food flavoursome. Good pricing and variety. Nice evening out.

Service was slow. Waiter wasn’t particularly attentive. We were served spice food first which meant that we could not taste the other food properly.

One of my fave restaurants to visit in Melbourne. The food is packed with flavour and the service is excellent.

I’d heard good things about this place and the restaurant does have a nice ambiance, excellent cocktails and good service. The food, however, is overpriced, very average fare. I’m not sure if it’s a post Covid slump but we were disappointed by the dishes we ordered with the thai green curry being especially horrible.

I would recommend
Rice Paper Scissors only for their drinks.

New Year’s Eve

Friendly relaxed service, interesting and creative food, overall really good but very noisy if you’re trying to catch up with friends. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and selections. Generous portions. Tasty and well presented. Excellent service. Too noisy for us olds!! Both the music and people. But we went for the food. Didn’t get checked for logging onto QR code. This is a big fault. We realised after paying. Would recommend.

This place is always delicious and fun. Definitely recommend.

No knowledge of gluten free or Coeliac Options - one option steamed fish. Beer choice was not on offer as it was warm. Prawn dish underwhelming and roti tasted stale. Would not visit this location again

Good menu overall, some stand out dishes (crying tiger, snapper ceviche) pork belly was disappointing, to the point of being inedibly tough.

Service was quite poor, and uncomfortablely casual. 15% surcharge was high for the at times unprofessional service. Asked to split the bill but was told the machine was not working, which I suspect was not true as another waiter hesitated before saying we don't do that here. This is despite having split the bill in the past. Ridiculous given the surcharge!

The food was pretty good, but what let it down was the service yesterday. I know it was a public holiday and it was a full restaurant, but the girl serving us didn't really pay too much attention to what we want and the drinks came out way too slow. We'd had our first 2 dishes before one drink came out. It was an ok night out but was hoping for better.

Fabulous flavoursome Asian .. loved the platter for 2.. so many choices! Definitely recommend and definitely going again soon!!

As always this place is just amazing! The food is soooo good, with just enough new stuff to add interest but all the old favourites still in the menu. The entire page of vegan menu items takes this place into a league of its own.

Service was fairly poor, food very ordinary- banh mi were tasteless, pork belly was dry- very expensive for what you got.

Not bad for the price you pay. Seemed a little understaffed as it took some time for us to get served and it was hard to get a servers attention throughout. Some great dishes and some good dishes.

My friend and I had the loveliest first experience at Rice Paper Scissors. We came in with no expectations but came out wanting more. The quality/flavour of the food was amazing. We were both super impressed by the amount of vegan options too. Our waitress was really courteous and everything seemed to come out in perfect intervals which gave us enough time to enjoy the different flavours of every dish we ordered. Overall, it was a really memorable experience and we would definitely dine in again.

Great food to share. Delicious flavours, aromas and textures. Beautifully presented too.
