Rin Sushi Restaurant
great service excellent food pricey but you go for the experience
Very nice place. Food here is great and the service is also very good
Great, calming atmosphere. Servers were very attentive and felt very taken care of. The food was fantastic, very high quality fish. The chef was careful with his work and explained what each piece was as he served it to us. Highly recommend coming here; a great spot for special occasions!
Exception quality, presented in a minimalist space that focuses on the wonderful food. Highest quality, created and presented to you by the skilled sushi chef. Expensive but worth it for the incredible quality:-)
If can introduce food more specific in Chinese will be better to understand what we eat exactly
Nice food and good service. Dessert can be better!
Whole experience was fine. Quality of food was alright.
Not worth the money. Sushi lack innovation, quality and type. No wow factor. IT felt like i ordered a sushi platter and place some floral petals on it to make it fancy. Service staff was friendly but lack experience and training to provide and complete a true omakase experience. They had to be asked to refill tea, remove plates for next dish, interrupted my tasting at the wrong time and removed my chopsticks before i was finished my tasting etc. When they gave me a spoon for my dessert, I mentioned I still have my tamago dish - and oddly they told me there is no tamago today and I had to point out the couple next to me just had tamago. Afterwards, they gave me tamago. Not sure what happened there. Also, i was expecting crown melon but got crown melon sorbet instead. hahaha...not sure how much actual crown melon was in the sorbet. I recently went to another omakase (Aburi Hana) in Yorkville and it was only slightly more at $195 (vs $170) and they delivered in all areas of food, service and experience.
Variety choices of wines
They had a $90 omakase on the menu. We went for that but when we sat down, they said the only option was $145. It does not seem fair to put something in the menu and now offer it and then the next best option is 50% more expensive ?! I will never return.
Took my mom out for dinner. We’re been trying omakase in the city and I find this one wasn’t worth its value. We ended up getting the 170 instead of 90 and it was a difference of few dishes only. Wasn’t worth the upgrade.
Pretty good. Food is fresh
Absolutely not worth the $170 per person that was charged. The quality is just not there. Won’t be going back for sure.
Overall the service was great. The waitresses and host were nice and attentive. I was here celebrating a 2 year anniversary and made a note with the reservation, however there was no acknowledgement of the special occasion. So I was wondering what is the point of them asking what is the special occasion if they don't acknowledge it? Overall the omakase tasted ok, the presentation was mediocre. The Otoro which should be visually appealing and delicious looked unappetizing but tasted ok. I expected more flavour, especially with the price. I found that even with other restaurants with omakase that the presentation looked better with a cheaper price. Overall I'd say the food was good, but not sure if the price is justified for the service and presentation. After trying a few omakase in different countries, I would say this would be the most disappointing for the price point.
very good quality sushi! Chef is very nice and service is great
Unique dining experience. Great presentation and taste. Attentive service. A bit pricey but will go back.
Great food. Ordered the sushi omakase. Our chef was very nice and didn't mind repeating himself when we asked. Melon was amazing!
Overpriced. The akagai and uni wasnt fresh. Others were fine
Am and my family went for dinner on Friday night, service good and food good too but the price not worth to have just about 5 pieces sashimi, 1 mini sauce dish cold steam egg, 1 mini Uni and very thin sushi for about 8 pieces. Also I had paid 15 for the mini Udon for my daughter, no choice for the kids just Udon but very small, I had ordered two bowls for her. Total including taxes 470 for two adults and one kids, but just filled up our stomachs not even 20%. Totally not worth to paid that much for little food.
Not worth it at all. I will not go back.
The personalized sushi chef experience was excellent. However, the service staff, although attentive, could use a bit more training on how to keep the table clean and how to pour without spilling.
Also, although the overall atmosphere is charming and chic there was a fan or compressor that came on mid-dinner which was loud and distracting. Further, the numerous flies inside were a turnoff.
Overall, the food was fantastic and worth the price. The chefs were simply wonderful too. Looking forward to trying out that restaurant again and hope they continue to improve their service and atmosphere.
