Ripplewood Whiskey and Craft
Everything was amazing! Service was impeccable! I highly recommend this as a place to visit. Definitely a suburban gem.
This is one of the better restaurants we've been to on the Main Line. It's hard to get reservations (we lucked out), but worth the visit if you can get in.
This is second time I’ve been there for lunch which unfortunately I’ve found mediocre. However the one time I went for dinner it was excellent despite an unbearable noise level
Initial impressions: large, attractive, busy, well stocked bar; several dining areas (garden room, small downstairs dining room, plus upstairs seating we didn't see); promptly honored our reservation on a very busy Friday night; menu suggests tapas American style - about ten each of "shareables" and "for the table" plates. Although the menu reads like a typical bill of fare (grilled garlic shrimp, charred octopus, crab cakes etc), many have an unusual touch that sets them apart - when's the last time you saw adjika or lemongrass aioli on a menu? My Mediterranean salad was large and enjoyable, with very nice falafel that I suspect was made in house. My wife and our guest both enjoyed the octopus (good, but undistinguished from the same dish elsewhere in the area), after which one had scallops and the other branzino (again good but undistinguished, as was my burger despite a bit of bologna on it). We were a little surprised at the cost, as we only had two simple drinks (a shot of vodka and one of bourbon) plus one glass of wine, and no desserts. We'll try it again - but based on this visit, several competitors in the area offer at least as much pleasure and creativity at lower cost.
Our waitress was great, attentive but never annoying. The food was delicious but in my opinion, not enough entree selections.
Our favorite place in Ardmore. Great cocktails, outstanding food.
The food was great . We ordered the mushroom flat bread to start with , the baranzino and the fish Taco .
All was great but the brought us all the dishes together after a long wait .
Staff did a great job accommodating. Great place for brunch.
Food was delicious. We we’re totally blown away by the different drinks listed on the menu and the tasty food. If you’re looking for something different this is the place for you.
Energetic, main line restaurant /bar. Nice atmosphere. Our table shared the watermelon, tomato salad and tuna which was very good. Fish entrees were excellent. Burgers were average (couldn't taste the cheese or the bologna). Service was great. We enjoyed our night.
went to Ripplewood for lunch. It is possible to eat there and eat light and low cal (didn’t think it was possible)
Had the grilled octopus, hold the oil. It was off the chain! Fantastic, rivaled any grilled octopus dish. So perfectly prepared and charred. I then had the cucumber salad. It was so light and delicious. Hubby went for it with the brisket sandwich. It was so lean and flavorful. 5 STARS
Great Jazz performers, good brunch food. Took our reservation for group of 10 friends. We had a blast! A definite repeat!
This is our new favorite restaurant! We just moved to the are and this will be our regular spot. Loved the cocktails, wings, meatballs, steak and dessert!
Drinks were good. Food just ok. Descriptions of food did not match what was placed on the table. Food did not have a hand- crafted feel.
Wonderful food, great local restaurant great staff welcoming environment
Service was great, and the food was very good.
Excellent server, good food, comfortable neighborhood pub
Excellent food. Good pacing. Fun atmosphere. Good ambience.
From the moment I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by the host, everything, I mean, everything about this restaurant was stellar!!
Nicely curated cocktail, spirit, wine and craft beer lists - definitely something for everyone!
There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe this creative, innovative and delicious menu!!! And here goes...
Smoked carrots and beet salad with goat cheese and baby kale was fantastic!
The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection!
And the star of the evening (a special), lamb 3 ways - rib confit; tenderloin; belly - with a brunoise of (I think pickled) cantaloupe topped with huckleberry and lamb jus and fresh green figs - served on a nifty round wooden platter.
No room for dessert, next time yes! Again, creative tight dessert menu.
Our server Adrienne was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, pleasant and laughed at a few of my corny references...
I couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable dining experience in Ardmore. I understand they are opening #2 in Wayne soon... I cannot wait!!!!!
Ripplewood Whiskey and Craft is the spot to check out on the Main Line! An amazing ambiance and the staff is always ready to help. I really appreciate the manager Mike, who I called ahead of time with special request. Not only was everyone so friendly and helpful it really made this special occasion for my mom memorable. Thank you again and would recommend to all of my clients!!
The food was awesome but our waitress was not friendly or attentive
Delicious food and drink and great music too! Spectacular service and ambiance.
Highest quality for moderate prices, and a wonderful bar robot!
We had another great experience at Ripplewood -- in part because our waitress Erika was so knowledgeable. She made recommendations for how to stage the meal in order to highlight each dish. Mussels first (to die for good) and then brussel sprouts (we always order these because they are decadently good) and the ripp fries with shredded pork and fondue. We could probably have done without the donuts but those were delicious too.
We also had cocktails. I like nothing sweet and Erika made sure my drinks were tart and spice forward. My husband loved his more traditional bourbon Manhattan.
We will be coming back soon1
Somewhat congested tight eatery but worth going to for the well prepared food, attentive service and great drinks! Overall vibe was hip and fun....!
Food was fantastic, cocktails even better. Our server was attentive. Would definitely go back.
Food is great but overpriced. Waitress that I've had on 3 occasions is not blatantly rude, but tends to make people feel a little rushed and is not particularly warm and friendly. Can get noisy.
The waiter was very inattentive and seemingly tried to avoid our table. One of my friends made a small complaint and he did not come back u til out entree were ready. Not to offer more drinks nor even water. The food was great but we just happened to get the bad link
Love this place for casual dining and great drinks. I hope it survives amidst the heavy competition in Ardmore.
I would recommend this restaurant for happy hour or light fare.
The food presentation and taste was outstanding. I loved the Bronzino, which I always do but this was definitely the best I have had. We shared a cucumber salad that I probably wouldn't have even noticed but my niece wanted it and it was so good, I would order it again. The drinks also were delicious. There was a cucumber strawberry contain that was fresh and light-delicious. The prices were what I would consider moderate, worth every penny.
salads were a little too heavy on the mayo/cheese dressing. Branzino was terrific!
Food is much better. Server was wonderful.
This was our first trip to Ripplewood, and we were very happy with the experience. We started with the Ripp fries and brussel sprouts. The fries are a must have, the best twist on poutine so far. The drinks were good and the bartender took my request for a spicy old fashioned and came up with something great. For the entrees we had the half chicken and filet. Both were cooked perfect and had great flavor. I believe my filet won best dish of the night, but I enjoyed the chicken as well. Overall it is worth a trip.
Food was amazing! Service was even better! Cocktails were on point!
Our meal was amazing and the service was friendly and comfortable! Will definitely go back!!
This is a good hipster joint in Ardmore, which is unique in Ardmore. The whiskey part of the experience is unmatched on the Main Line, with great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Come hungry and thirsty to this place!
Excellent food, service and experience. They were able to accommodate our request for outdoor seating on a beautiful Friday night. Great way to kick off a summer weekend. Highly recommend this main line gem!
