The best breakfast ramen ever. A happy landing after being away from the inner west for over 6 months.

Yeah it was awesome, we brought a child with us on our visit and she was well looked after. Fast and friendly service.

Always great here, a great community and well on the way to being a neighbourhood institution.

Ramen didn't feel like a whole thing. Plus it is too far from traditional ramen, where it becomes just a soup (I know the translation of ラーメン). Cannot even compare it to Rararamen or Gogyo. That is why cannot rate that price as adequate.
Filter coffee was bitter. Beans were lovely, great smell, but they fit espresso better.
But thanks anyway.

We had the $60 tasting menu, the food was fantastic, and of beautiful quality. We all felt well- fed and couldn't stop remarking on how delicious everything was. I am lactose and allium intolerant; the staff handled it brilliantly and I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. The staff were also lovely, relaxed and accommodating even through a few of the party were late and we lingered for quite a while.

Food was delicious, loved the vibe and the service was quick, attentive and excellent! Couldn’t of had a better time!

Where do I start..stuck up waiters who questions your milk choices then proceeds to lecture you on why they don't supply a specific plant-based type... asking whether you have paid or not condescendingly...sub-par food in taste and not enough of it...highly over-rated and too much attitude. Never going back again, and no reason whatsoever to do so!

For a motorcycle repair workshop this is a great place for clean tasty food and a great range of drinks. Staff are keen to help and are attentive.
For me the only negative is that due to my age the wooden chairs prove to be uncomfortable after a length of time. I’d certainly recommend here to my friends.

Nice interiors. Average food and service this visit. Interesting breakfast menu but overall the taste just wasn’t that great. No one from our group would reorder our selections again. It’s a workshop so it’s obviously noisy.

You don't come here for the same old cafe food. Strong Japanese influences feature in an interesting menu that has enough familiarity to be comforting but enough new stuff to catch your attention. And it's good value, too. There's even parking for cars out the front, if you arrive early and are willing to pay – otherwise take your chances in the surrounding streets. We'll be back. (And watching the bike owners beavering away in the workshop has me wondering why I ever sold my motorbike.)

Food generally good. Table service was prompt and friendly.
Wine by the glass very overpriced, at least 50% more than elsewhere.
At those prices, we expected the sparkling wine to be served in a flute, not a normal wine glass.
The “sparkling” wine had zero bubbles – completely flat.
The most unfriendly barman sent the same glasses back to us insisting that it was OK.

Fun idea but the fumes and noise from the workshop invaded our meal. Also the menu was a bit strange with carbs limited to burger buns on the bar menu, and the banquet menu too heavy on rich meat. That said, the service was lovely and vibe was excellent.

Think I just came at a busy time. Idea is awesome and the venue is great. Bit of a miss on the ramen though. Tried the Light Dark and Monk. Dark is the best of the 3.

Food tasted good but not exceptionally different from others. Price is so much expensive compared to other similar places. Too noisy. Surcharge on card is ridiculous especially with such expensive food.

This place epitomises the eclectic culinary cool of Newtown, a local treasure with delicious and original food in an awesome, original setting.

Set menu was excellent and delicious. All the dishes were really interesting but worked well together. The desert was particularly amazing

Love this place. Buddy of mine never had a Raman before and he was literally blown away. Also he is a Ducati rider so the whole community based workshop was not lost on him either.

Creative and unique blend of Umami and Australia's best local ingredients. Dishes are delicate and bold. Service is casual but attention paid to details. Highly recommended.

I've been a supporter since before even this location so it's great to see them constantly providing the best in well-loved dishes as well as innovating consistently.

The best place in Newtown for dinner!

The whole ambience was beautiful. Super busy restaurant but the service was very quick.

Wonderful dinner experience, could not recommend this place highly enough. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Very keen to return with my bike and make use of the workshop. Not on the cheap side but well worth it for a great evening.

Breakfast ramen is an old favourite and the cold soba noodles are a welcome addition to the menu. Always great coffee too.
