Amazing dinner!

Ristorante Il Porcino is and has been a favorite of our family for several years. The Branzino fish special was great . Highly recommended

This is our date night place to go......always great service (Matt and Anisa) and we have the branzino almost every single time. White fish which is tender and healthy. Past few months we ate outside where they have set up[ a tent and heaters......making do in these crazy times.

Food was very well prepared and tasty. Service was in a heated tent in the parking lot.

Regular customer and always satisfied with food and service. Due to COVID there is only outdoor dining so it is a little chilly but they have heaters now so doing the best they can. Branzino (fish) is ALWAYS great and cioppino is delicious too. Anisa (owner's daughter) is always friendly and attentive when we are served by her!

Matt (owner) is always engaging and friendly when we eat there. The food and service is always great. It is tough in these times and eating outdoors isn't the best but they are making the best of it. We are loyal customers and look forward to eating there again.

Food was good but some appetizer and most of the main course dishes came out hot and others were literally cold.

So nice to get back to the restaurant again, even if it is outside in the breezy parking lot! Food is great as usual.

Due to COVID, we were the only customers eating outside so service was excellent. So was the food. Can't wait to see more people here in the future.

Restaurant did a great job with COVID safety measures: temperature check, socially distant outdoor tables , menus under plastic tablecloths, staff wearing masks & gloves, customers wearing masks except when eating and drinking. Excellent service and delicious food. We enjoyed ourselves on our very first meal eating out since Shelter in Place started and we will go back soon!

My wife and I have been going to Il Porcino ever since Matt closed his satellite restaurant at the Fremont Hub some years ago. One of our favorites restaurants, if not the favorite. We actually introduced some of our friends to the place, they are lifelong Fremont residents and had never been aware of it, and they loved it as well.

Some people may be put off by Matt's seeming gruffness, but he has a heart of gold underneath that tough exterior and can be very charming, and the food is by and large excellent, I have never had anything that I disliked there and that is saying something! I grew up in the Philly area and ate a lot of Italian food growing up and as an adult (I look forward to my visits back there!), and Il Porcino could successfully compete with pretty much any such Philly restaurant. We look forward to more trips to enjoy the cuisine and the ambiance!

Exceptional food and service.

We showed up a few minute before our reservation and were promptly seated. Our waiter was very pleasant and we enjoyed our food very much.

I went with a party of five. We were greeted and welcomed. The Service person was attentive and the food was GREAT!

The restaurant could not manage the rush during Valentine's day and we're backlogged in their seating the reservations. On am average folks with reservation were waiting for 1 hour behind their reservation time. This may be an one off but can be taken into consideration in the future

We had a reservation for 8pm but did not get seated until 9:15. Other people who had reservation at 9 and 8:30 got seated before us and it looked like the host was seating guests Randomly. The main dishes were good but the salad was cold and so was the bread. The host did not apologize for the late seating.

The food and service were everything I could have hoped for. The reason I marked down was because of the reservation process and how reservations were handled on what I can only assume is a known busy day.

Specifically, this is a very, very small venue. The process to secure a table online involved putting down a credit card and the time slot was secured. However, when I arrived for the reservation a few minutes before my reservation time, I found out they were still attempting to seat people with reservations from an hour and a half earlier. That meant that we had to stand outside in the cold for another hour and a half with a whole bunch of other people in a similar predicament before we were seated. Just as we were about to give up, we observed people who arrived much later with later reservation times, being seated immediately. When I went in to inquire what happened to our reservation, because I complained, we were seated.

The food was really delicious, the ambiance was sweet and the restaurant has potential of being a favorite place, however I will never trust another holiday or important event to their reservation service. I have to believe they purposely overbooked the night and allowed for reservations far exceeding a traditional 10% buffer and that seems really selfish and wrong to leave so many patrons stuck on such a busy night.

Great food! We were there for Valentine's day and they had added a couple of extra tables so it seemed a little tighter and slightly noisier than normal, but it was still a very comfortable space and great food!

Valentine's Day evening seemed to overwhelm the staff and kitchen but staff remained friendly and responsive. Noise level rose quickly after our early arrival. A huge crowd was waiting outside when we left following our dinner. Our meals were good, including crab cakes appetizers. We were pleased with our meals and spumoni for desert. We plan to return.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years. We love the food and service. This is our favorite place to celebrate something. Authentic Italian food that is delicious.

We were here on Friday for Valentine's day. They had rearranged the restaurant for maximum seating capacity. And it was completely full. Despite of that, the service was good and the food as usual excellent. We come here often for "no occasion". We always enjoy it a lot.

Food was good, especially, the dedicated Vegetarian menu and the large selection of wine, different from most other Italian restaurants. At the end they ran out of Cannoli when we ordered desert. Other than that very good though a bit on the pricier side for Fremont standards

Food was okay, calamari was too crispy and rubbery. My scallopini porcini didn’t go well with the Mariana sauce. Two other veal dishes and chicken were good

Great value. Caesar and lamb dishes are always great. The tomatoes, basil and oregano in the marinara make it quite good.

We had a group of 16. I liked that I could make our reservation on open table without putting a credit card down. When we arrived our 2 tables of 8 were ready (one for the kids & one for the adults.). Service was great food was delicious and the cost was affordable considering our group size. I would definitely go again when in Fremont.

Best Italian I've had since moving to California three years ago

This restaurant is a gem! We've been searching for an Italian restaurant that lives up to our expectations and the food here was amazing. The portion size is perfect and you dont feel like you've over eaten, the flavors are spot on and you can taste the freshness of the food. It was the perfect date night spot.
