Rivalries - Portland

Good sports bar in Portland Maine. We went there to catch an NFL game and they had a good selection of games and plenty of TVs. The bar food was pretty good, wings were high quality, cooked as requested and properly heated. The place prides itself in their sweet chili sauce and it is a winner. They also had a very good lobster rangoon with a house duck dipping sauce. I definitely will go back when in town. A bonus to be able to reserve at a sports bar on Open Table.

From the exterior Rivalries will look like an average sports bar - don't judge a book by its cover! Much more than beer and football here :-) the food was delicious - 90% of their menu is made from scratch in house. The bartender gave us the rundown of all their in-house sauces and specialties. Try the carne asada tacos. And the chicken wings. Or anything with their specialty sweet chili sauce 🔥👏🏻💥

Horrible service

We sat outside which was one television. Inside the atmosphere was more like a sports bar because it had several televisions and a good vibe. The shrimp appetizer and chicken wings were delicious. We wished new england clam chowder or lobster bisque would have been on the menu. The restaurant was clean and COVID precautions were evident. Definitely a restaurant to try.

Visiting Portland for a getaway weekend, stopped into Rivalries to catch late afternoon college football, drink good beer, enjoy some healthy bar fare :) at an upscale establishment. Scott, behind the bar, was very hospitable and a good dude! Highly recommend Rivalries!

The prices are a little high! For pub food/fare these days.. people don’t want to leave their house for an expensive meal.

Really great Manager went above and beyond for us. Great patio with a TV to watch the game. Great food and cocktails.
