   It was not as formal as I thought it would be. I requested a window seat on our reservation as it was hubbies birthday however they don't hold window seats but we were lucky one opened up. Staff was amazing...very polite..asked several times but a few Staff if everything was OK and if we needed anything. Food was very good and a little pricey.. burger and fries $25...small Charcuterie board was $36... Parking was difficult to find so arrive early!

   Took my mom here for the Mother’s Day brunch and had a great time. The dining room is so pretty with a nice view, they had great meals and alternative options. The food was so good, and the chef even came out to say hello. It made our special day even more special. Also have to mention our waitress Gaby she was so great! Will come again.

   This is the second time I have been to the Riverroom. The food is outstanding. However, both times the service was extremely slow. The first time we arrived at 6 pm and had to be at a show next door at eight. Despite telling our server this, the meal took so long that we just made it to our seats before the show started. We had ordered gelato for dessert and by the time we got it, it was almost fully melted. It was a busy night and our server was run off her feet. This time, it took about 30-40 minutes to get our appetizers and another 30-40 minutes to get our meals. It was not the fault of our server, who was excellent. But the kitchen was very slow. Given that there were very few diners at the time, it is hard to understand why it took so long. We did not stay for dessert this time.

    Waited for over 40 mins for our drinks to arrive. Our apps and food came fast and hot. Everyone liked the taste of their dishes. Definitely overpriced for what you get portion wise. 48 for a 12oz steak. Only came with three tiny potatoes. Overall was good but a bit pricey for the service and portions

    My family of four had a great evening. We were glad that we chose your establishment to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything went off so well, from the excellent food to the service and ambience. The evening was topped off with a chance meeting of your world renowned Executive Chef, Gustavo Maurelli. He came to our table and gave us a great insight into his life and career. We enjoyed hearing everything he had to say and felt honoured to have met him. What an experienced and accomplished Chef, as well as being just an all around nice person. We would definitely recommend the River Room to our friends and acquaintances.

    This was our first time and we came with great expectations due to all the rave reviews. The only good experience for our party of 6 was the view. -super bright pot lights in our area which could not be dimmed so lack of ambient low lighting -overall -lacklustre and skimpy meals at high prices - 6 orders included the lamb shanks, chicken, steak, soup, salad -food was luke warm - sent the steak back and the chef told us we didn’t know what “medium steak” should look like (no pink! according to the chef) - lamb shanks were over cooked and only served with potatoes, minimal sauce, no vegetables -salmon was overcooked - chicken dish was one very small chicken leg sitting on a bed of ancient grains. No vegetables. -trainee waiter was not being overseen by anyone (pleasant man so not his fault management set him adrift. And yes, blame the management on this one) -took a very long time (1-1/2 hours for 6 mains, no appetizers) No one in our party will return or recommend this restaurant. Very disappointing as Windsor is sadly lacking in good restaurants, especially located on the river.

    Went for my mom’s birthday, we both agreed this was some of the best food we’ve ever had!! So so so yummy! Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. 10/10 would recommend and we’re already planning our next trip

    Just hosted a birthday party at the RiverRoom! If you are looking for a private dining area to host a larger gathering, they have the perfect set up! From start to end, the staff and management team were all very courteous and helped pull off a fantastic gathering. The food was delicious, staff attentive and just an overall fantastic new place to grab a bite.

    The food was absolutely wonderful! The service was prompt and pleasant. The ambiance was nice, dim lighting, beautiful view and chill vibe. We had dinner on Valentines Day so there was a live saxophone player during our meal. It really added to the feel but did make it a little tough to hear at times. Would definitely go back!!

    Unfortunately I cannot leave a favourable review, I have to be honest in order to prevent other people from the same experience and not waste their money. The flavours of the main course are good. But portions are small. The Spanish appetizers they push, are really nothing but a piece of French baguette with tomato sauce and cheese. The sea food one is a small piece of cocktail shrimp with a red pepper from a jar. Not even comparable to Europe! Atmosphere is that of a sports bar. The only thing that saved the evening was our waiter and staff. Was very attentive and friendly.

    First time trying the Riverroom out. The decor of the restaurant and view of the Detroit river is beautiful. Food is excellent as well. The mushroom risotto with lobster was fantastic. While, the food was good and decor was nice. There were a few issues... One we ordered calamari and they never brought it out. Completely just forgot about it and when we told the server, she took it off our meal, which is fine... But when your trying to be a fine dining restaurant, this can't be happening. The margarita is okay at best.. and they're charging quite a bit for it.. I was expecting much more for the price... Perhaps fresh lime juice would be a good start? Lastly, just an area of improvement... I'm not sure if it was the layout of the seating plan that was a challenge for our server or the server herself... But they could of offered a glass of wine with dinner or something...and probably made more from our table... Just a thought. Also, her checking in a bit more.. maybe she would of realized we didn't get the calamari. Overall, I won't be rushing back.. But I'll definitely visit again and hopefully they can work a few of these kinks out. This spot has lots of potential and a beautiful bar. Great to see a new restaurant in downtown Windsor.

    Nice atmosphere, service was a bit slow but they are still new. Salmon dish was very tasty, I think some bread would have been good before the main dish as it was a bit on the small side. We ordered desert but had to cancel it as we had a show to get to and time was running out. The manager came by to apologize and gave us his card to make arrangements to return for that desert 😊 all in all it was a very nice dining experience and I would definitely go back.

    Third time here food is always great fabulous view of Detroit skyline. Hotel was reopened after renovation in nov2022. Beautiful dining room and the food is always spot on. Wines priced well as are meals. Servers are all great but at times service can be slower paced. Undiscovered gem in Windsor happy to find a new spot

    Ambience and service were great. Unfortunately multiple items on the menu were not available and my meal personally was very tasty yet ordered seafood stew and not much seafood in it. All in all was a great experience !

    Food was good to very good, but by time it got to the table it was no longer hot. Service was very good although it appeared they were a bit understaffed as ladies were doing everything...bussing and drinks in addition to food. Likely just working out the kinks as it is still relatively new. Look forward to trying again in future.

    The food was delicious and we will go back. The ambiance and the view are incredible. Perfect for date night or group dinners (high counter party tables look fun!). However, the service was bad. We sat for over 45 minutes before being brought a drink, which was made wrong. Our reservation was for 7pm and dinner (no dessert) was finished by 9pm, but we didn’t mind a longer dinner since it was a date night. We ordered several pinchos, a Caesar salad and two mains (lamb and tenderloin). Food was delicious. Numerous tables were overheard talking about the poor service, so unfortunately I think this reflects badly on the restaurant. They recently opened in November 2022, so we are hoping they are just working out some kinks. We will try again. Parking is easy in the parking garage behind with enclosed skywalk directly to the restaurant (directional signs everywhere) which is a plus for downtown venues.

    I reserved a table with a view but instead I got a table without, and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all there were many empty tables with a view. The only delicious food was the soup, everything else was cold and sloppy. If I am paying a significant amount of money I expect quality food. Never again, very disappointed
