Very noisy especially for my friend who has sensory issues. Over priced. The food use to be good before the pandemic. Romaine lettuce was not good, left half of it. My friends sand which was too salty. The waitresses seemed a bit confused and it was way over priced for half of our meals.
Great place for happy hour in the Loop!
Great servers. Good food.
Very good breakfast, cool spot and decent service for a large group
Our best meal so far in Chicago. The chicken was lovely and moist, the salad was incredible as were the crispy potatoes! I made a few requests for changes which were all handled with ease, ending up with a meal that i completely enjoyed and wish I could have finished!!
I've been there for lunch many times. This was my first breakfast. It was just ok. Server was poor. They were out of the sauce in my dish and ordered without potatoes and they made no effort to make it presentable, so kinda blah. I have enjoyed my lunches there.
Bar service was super slow, I didn't think it was that busy but maybe something was going on. I just know it took longer than usual to get our drinks out. Other than that everyone was very friendly and our server was great!
Great place for lunch or dinner in the loop. Food is good, service is friendly and professional. And it has nice ambience!
Great working lunch, the staff is very aware that they attract the business crowd for lunch - very attentive staff and quick service. Highly recommend!
I ordered one of their mocktails off of the menu because I am allergic to alcohol. The bartender put tequila in it. The server corrected the mistake and took it off of my bill. It still should not have happened. Extremely disappointed in my experience and will not be returning.
Great service. Food was superb. And great ambiance.
Great environment, good service, good food. Would recommend.
We enjoyed our brunch. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Food was exactly what we expected.
Roanoke has great happy hour options-both drinks and food. Its one of my favorite places in the loop to have happy hour with girlfriends, clients, or even go for a drink solo. The staff are always extremely attentive and personable. I'm usually greeted by a management/management every visit to ensure my food and service is top quality. Mondays are also ladies nights which has a more upbeat with music and raffles later on!
Disappointed with the Caesar salad my guest and I ordered for lunch. Very bland in taste. Still enjoyed the ambiance.
Great food. You won’t make a mistake.
Food and drinks were fine waiter just took long consistently (at bar and regular waiter)
Food good- and value good too.
It took awhile to get noticed but the manager was on it. The cheese biscuit were small dry but the pimento spread was delicious. The fried chicken is the best EVER, that should be available as an entree. The chili was superb! We will be back.
Great food, Great service. One of my favorites for lunch.
Overall good, since I had put this in as a business meal a less noisy section would have been appreciated.
Food was amazing. I had a salmon salad with charred broccoli. Delicious.
The food was good, the service was seriously lacking.
Went on Monday for ladies night/happy hour however the hostess and waitress failed to inform us that they canceled it because of the holiday, which didn’t make any sense. It seem like the other guest were frustrated with the cancellation too. We decided to give it a chance and order anyway, I received my food quickly however my friend did not. When we asked the waitress about her meal she stated that she thought that my friend canceled the order :-/. My friend said nothing to imply that she didn’t want the meal. By the time I was done with my meal they finally brought out hers. Would NOT recommend this place.
Quality food. The service was a bit slow at its peak time because it was crowded. But that was expected. We arrived around noon. The price is reasonable and fits into any budget. The rest rooms are on the second floor. Not very accessible for the disabled.
I've been going to the Roanoke for years. Even after being away for 15 months, due to COVID-19 shutting most places down, I was so happy to find almost everything was very much the same. Great atmosphere, excellent drinks, good food, and friendly service. It is definitely still one of my favorite little, quaint Chicago restaurants; and, I'm so glad it survived!
Great spot for lunch meetings, and very attentive servers.
Very classy environment and service was top of the line
Nice atmosphere. The food was good but not to the standards of the price.
Things are still opening up, but staff was friendly and timely. The food was excellent. Oddly enough the fries might have been the best, but the lamb sandwich I got was a good combo of flavors. Think Italian beef but with lamb and less spice on the peppers. They had some more expensive items on the menu, so you'll find a range of price points and a good selection of food offerings.
With a only three tables to handle, between two waitstaff, service left much time be desired. Drinks we’re not as advertised (blood orange mimosa contained no blood orange juice) Food (breakfast) took excessively long to prepare. Coffee was mediocre at best. Cream and spoon for coffee was quite a challenge to get after coffee was delivered without either. Waiter forgot multiple items of our order, and multiple parts of our order were prepared incorrectly. Due to the already extended time for everything to come out, waiting for corrections simply wasn’t an option. A nearby table was overheard complaint about an entire meal that wasn’t delivered, but the waiter was attempting to bring the check to them. Overall, poor service and nothing exciting about the food. Won’t be back.
We had a reservation at 930a for brunch which we didn’t realize was when the restaurant actually opened (we wouldn’t have made a reservation otherwise). The restaurant was poorly staffed and service was slow. I ordered a coffee drink and was eventually told they were all out of it (even though we were the first customers). Food was good but nothing spectacular. I’d normally give the experience three stars but with Covid still having effects on the service industry and many places looking for staff, I felt this could have contributed to the staffing.
This place was amazing! Went for a bachelor party and the staff was super fun and treated us amazing. Definitely going back when people come into town!
Terrible experience. First, they cut the menu down because they didn't have enough chefs. Secondly, the service was terrible - inattentive server for who we had to keep waiting and looking for. We were looking for an evening in town and this experience destroyed our mood and the evening.
Cornbread and biscuits were dry
We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, and ordered our entrees before we had them. They brought our sides before the entrees. It was just odd, and hard when you are trying to host a dinner.
It’s was ok not like it use to be . Please bring back the prime rib!
Would not recommend this place. Appetizers came out frozen in the middle. Took forever to get drinks. Plastic dividers were in the way on table. Had to ask multiple times for silverware and cheese. Never came.
Food was delicious! The service was phenomenal as well. Would definitely return.
A bit on the pricey side, but worth it nonetheless. Campanelle was fantastic!
