Our family and friends, 12 in all (and feom all over the US), had gathered for a funeral the next day at nearby Quantico National Cemetery. From an ever-changing number on the reservation to late arrivals, the staff could not have been more accommodating. And tbough the restaurant is an a small strip mall in an area lined with fast food chains and franchise restaurants, Robiolina serves housemade pasta, fresh seafood, artful salads and daily specials with flair. There are vegetarian and gluten-free pasta options (even a whole wheat pasta.
The wine list was moderate in size but with decent choices, especially for this region, and the full bar happily served one family member’s progressively more tailored series of cocktails.
On top of all that, the entrees (with the exception of some steak cut) were in the $18-$25 range, a third less than what we’re used to in California, with larger portions. Including tax and service, appetizers, entrees and probably about 18 alcoholic beverages, plus several coffees and soft drinks, our bill for the party of 12 was about $500 and well worth it.
Grazie, Robiolina, for making a sad time more easy with a delicious dinner and caring service!
Food excellent as always, I just hope more people will start coming here because we don’t have many restaurants that serve this quality of food on Stafford.
The location, food and ambiance were great. The risotto was delicious.
I can't say enough good things about Robiolina. The food is fabulous, very decently priced and they have a wonderful staff who are friendly. Every time I eat there, I enjoy my meal even more. I love that they have weekly Chef specials to choose from. Robiolina is by far my husband and my favorite place to eat for Italian cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Everything was wonderful—food, service, atmosphere, price. I would definitely recommend!
On recommendation of the waitress I had the Rissoto special (with lump crab meat) and my wife had the grilled pork chop in Marsala sauce. Mine was very good and my wife's was excellent.
We expected the cost to be quite expensive and, pleasingly, the bill was moderate. Note that we did not order alcohol, even though they have a full bar service.
Excellent Food, Great service, good wine list. Go as many times as you can.
Really enjoyed the food especially the specials. The veal chop was amazing. I do wish you had options for your sides but other than that the food was great.
The food and service at Robiolina are always top-notch. We had an amazing dinner and are looking forward to many more visits!
We were excited to try as we’d heard great things. Husband liked the squid appetizer, flavor was amazing. Liked the originality of the Cesar’s salad. Husband had the salmon, he loved it and the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious! I had the rigatoni which was decent, lots of cheese melted in it. I would definitely go back but I must say there is one thing that needs improvement. Wr went on a Sunday night, Labor Day weekend, and there are only two waitstaff working the floor. They were seating people, taking orders, manning the bar, running back and forth. We would’ve liked to have more water and drinks but it was too busy for the poor waiter, he was running himself ragged as he had at least 7 to 8 tables, if not more. If you’re going to serve that kind of food in a “fine dining” establishment perhaps there needs to be someone to back them up. I heard two other tables speaking of the same thing...hint, hint. The young man did a great job considering.
The food and service are excellent. Italian meals like mama used to make.
Our first visit was in May and it was outstanding. Our return visit was equally wonderful. Again, exceptional ingredients, preparation and presentation. Service was appropriately attentive and helpful. Grilled Caesar, eggplant special appetizer, grilled Portobello, Proscuitto and Robiolina cheese crostini were all superb. Pansotti Ravioli (crab) was delicious and a contender with Mushroom Ravioli as our favorite. The sauces are definite highlights here - perfectly balanced and all worthy of using a spoon and bread to get every drop. Desserts were as good as the last time (Creme Brulee and Semifreddo). The cheesecake was the only 'average' item we tasted. Try the lovely fruity Falanghina wine. We will return again and again - this is a jewel not to be missed.
Second time coming in & we will be back to try more dishes. Food & wine is wonderful though I will say it does seem to take longer than usual to get the food. But overall, a good experience and great food.
Excellent food, great service. Can't be beat for Italian restaurant in Stafford.
Food was outstanding. We had home made pasta and raviolis that were fantastic. Service was attentive. A place worth coming to. We will come back.
This was a treat for my children because they drove a UHAUL truck over a thousand miles to help me move.
Love this place, food and service never disappoint!
Outstanding! I was a little nervous since there was no other patrons. They don’t know what they are missing. The food, wine, and service was amazing! I can’t wait to go back and hope this restaurant is successful.
What a hidden gem! Excellent service! Knowledgeable staff & delicious food! We’ll be back!!
We were there on a Monday for lunch, and were the only table for most of the meal. They had some service problems (credit card machine not working, no manager on duty); but the food! It was WONDERFUL! The gnocchi with pork sausage was truly outstanding, and the calamari appetizer was tender and delicious. Really well done!
The best restaurant I've dined at South of the Springfield mixing bowl. It's a must eat for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Always exceptional food and service!
Gold star service. An amazing find in Stafford! I’ve eaten food all over the world and this is a total gem. Fine dining and Michelin Star cuisine.
Would recommend to everyone within a 50 mile radius.
The food and atmosphere was great. Portions were very generous.
Food was phenomenal. Stafford needs a place like this.
The food had good taste and flavor, food was served in a timely manor, service was very good, the menu was quite limited. Deserts were rather small but unique in a positive way.
Mid -week dinnerwith friends: great food, great service, pleasant atmosphere and very reasonable prices.
My Robiolina Ravioli were to die for...best I've had in many years; the molten chocolate cake was also a big hit at our table. Our new Fave!
I have been to Robiolina several times for dinner and it was excellent each time. This time we met two other couples for lunch. The service was great and the food delicious. The chef was willing to make a few adjustments in his dishes to meet the tastes of our friends. I will definitely be back again.
Great food and great service. Will definitely be back
Really love this restaurant. This was a disapointing visit. We have had such great experiences previously though that we will definitely be back.
It was quiet and the homemade pasta was tasty. The had a risotto special that they announced when we arrived at 3 but at 3:15 they were out of it. The mushroom appetizer was delicious. The pork chop main dish was average.
We have dined at Robiolina prior to this visit, several times. Our prior experiences were good, we enjoy the restaurant. Sunday was Mother's Day, we expected a busy time. However, our waiter was awful. He corrected us when we wanted to order our appetizer while deciding our entree, lectured us on how orders are placed in a restaurant. My daughter is a sous pastry chef in NOLA, they just won a James Beard award. We have "dining" experience. The waiter seemed to busy himself watching others, not paying attention to our table. Maybe his usual job is not front of the house and he was additional help for the perceived busy time. We arrived at the restaurant at our reserved time of 1:00, our food arrived about an hour and 1/2 later, we left after 3:00. He ruined our lunch with his brash attitude, bad manners and neglectful service. I am sorry for the restaurant.
Robiolina is a great Italian restaurant with outstanding food. Quality food is a hallmark of the chef and for this reason they never serve Calamari steak although it remains on their menu. I was somewhat disappointed with the lobster pasta dish which was a Mother’s Day special. It tasted great but I was given a somewhat small portion of pasta and the lobster shell contained a piece of lobster smaller than my little finger. Not worth the $24
Food has been consistently delicious and very reasonably priced. Good wines by the glass as well! This is a great restaurant for a night out without breaking the bank!
An exceptional dinner. Highest quality ingredients, preparation and presentation. Service was solicitous and professional. Ambiance was very clean and soothing - modern. Lamb ravioli - very tender pasta with a delicious mushroom sauce. Side dish of kale sauteed with shallots and a touch of mozzarella was very tasty. Creme brulee and semifreddo lovely. Limited but adequate wine list. Moderate prices, particularly for the wonderful cuisine. Incredible value. We will return soon and often.
Great food and service. A nice addition to N Stafford. Will definitely go back.
Always enjoy our experience at Robiolina restaurant. Great food, service, and overall excellent dining experience at an every day affordable price. The barramundi is a personal favorite, but then again so is the rigatoni, the raviolis, and we cannot forget the semifreddo (yum).
Our server, Brian, was excellent. He was very attentive without being annoying. Our food was excellent and so was the wine. We will definitely be back.
Best salmon I’ve had. Great service!
Overall, the food and service were outstanding. I give high marks for the presentation of all dishes that arrived. All six of us shared three appetizers, which were outstanding. The octopus was just delicious. Two of six of us had the pork chops in a balsamic reduction sauce and raved how tasty it was. I had the seafood linguine, which was well-prepared, but the quality of shell seafood wasn't as good as I've had elsewhere. I don't recall the name of the server, but he was as good as you'll ever find. He knew intimately every dish offered at Robiolina. He kept checking on our table and removed any glass or dish immediately after it was no longer needed. His gracious demeanor just added to the ambience. I doubt Robiolina will remain in a Stafford small strip mall. I believe it will be headed to Carolina Street in Fredericksburg as a big competitor among restaurants in that area.
