Best Italian restaurant in hawthorn!
Variety menù!
Yummy tapas! Great wine! Service with a smile! Room for a pram & families. Great spot!
Great selection and choices to choose from, highly recommend! Nice place for family or friends catch ups.
Goats cheese ravioli was ordinary
Needed more punch
Lasagne beef was okay
Cocktails were amazing, service was impeccable and food was delish 👌🏻
Rococo has been very consistent over many years of lunching - every 2 to 3 weeks! Food always well presented, delicious and reasonably priced. No hesitation in recommending. Antipasto, risotto, paninis all great - only problem is choosing what to eat.....
A fun place along Glenferrie Road. Servers were very friendly. Lovely fresh flavours!
we don;t like loud music. It could be a little quieter please but it was not a problem. Otherwise excellent
Meals were good as was staff restaurant was bright and clean
We had a wonderful afternoon's lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious. The one thing that would be nice to see is a greater selection of gluten free options.
I keep coming back here because it’s local and has a nice vibe - hoping to have a better experience. However I am constantly disappointed. There’s never anything major, just little things that add up. The staff were very friendly, but the waitress left it about 15-20 mins between asking us for the first time if we were ready to order and coming back the second time. (This was at 6pm so it wasn’t exactly busy) Then we asked for 2 x Bundaberg and coke. When it came we thought it tasted a bit weird, and then noticed on the menu it said they only had Pepsi. The waitress did not alert us to this. And then when we paid the bill we see on the docket that it was ‘Havana and Pepsi’ so it wasn’t even the right rum either! I told the lady at the register and she just sort of smirked, chuckled and said nothing. No apology, no offer to comp the drinks. Really disappointing. The food was alright, cheesy garlic bread was tasty as was the crumbed chicken. The duck risotto was very average. Not much flavour and the duck seemed dry. Overall we weren’t super happy. Fingers crossed they can improve.
Good food, nice and helpful staff although sometimes a little hard to get attention when seated near edges, nice spacing so not too close to others
Always have such a memorable experience at Rococo - can’t get enough of the food, atmosphere and service !
Always a lovely & fun vibe, the staff are always welcoming and accomodating plus great with suggestions and just have a small chat between food.
The food is incredible! Even the next day if you happen to take some home!
Terrific food and outstanding service from the staff. The only small criticism is that the main and sweets took a little longer to arrive than would be expected.
We ordered entrees of mixed olives and fried polenta chips, there were five adults in our booking. The olives were very ordinary and the chips were soggy.
For mains we ordered two pizzas and a calamari salad. We said at the time that we may need to order more, once we saw the size of the meals.
After waiting almost an hour and a half, making lots of eye contact, our waitress came and asked if we had had our mains. When she said no, she said sorry there had been a mix up. We weren’t even offered a piece of bread to tide us over.
Our mains arrived, finally. The pizzas were delicious, the calamari was not great, a bit chewy.
After finally making eye contact with another waitress we asked to order two more pizzas and were told the kitchen was closed. At no time did anyone come and ask us if we were happy, did we want more.....nothing.
We ordered 8 beers, a bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of red.
Our bill was nearly $300.
This was meant to be a special dinner as we were seeing our son and his fiancé for the first time in over a year.
To say it was disappointing would be an understatement. For the mix up and lack of attention we should have been given a proper apology at the very least, but preferably some free bread or a slight discount.
I would never recommend this restaurant!
Waited an hour for food for our kids. No apology.
Poor performance overall , seafood had shells in it and clans that were still shut(bad sign of food overdue)
Service may have changed hands . Would not recommend this place again
Great food and great value for
Money. We love Rococos
Service was excellent. Food was very good especially the chargrilled calamari. Very nice.
excellent service, food and wine great way to spend NYE. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Always come here for NYE. Absolutely love the experience. Staff are amazing, food is consistently delicious, ambience is perfect. Thank you for always looking after us :):)
Waiter (Jordan) was friendly and accommodating.
The Pizza I had (with additional Chilli) was probably the best I have found in Melbourne. My GFs loved her Salmon Salad too which was cooked perfectly to her request. Will go back soon.
Food was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back when we are not limited to 1 1/2 hours
We enjoyed our experience, but where very disappointed with the slow service.
Great setting - two very nice outdoor areas and bright, modern indoor seating. I really wish the food had been better as the setup was quite lovely. Food wasn't terrible but "average and unremarkable" was the best you could say about it. If I did return I think I'd just get wine & an appetiser or focaccia (which we did try and enjoyed). I would recommend it as a place to enjoy a glass of wine, perhaps before moving on to dinner elsewhere.
Nice place to have dinner, food is very tasty and lots of dishes to choose from the menu.
A friend and I went there for our Christmas Eve dinner and it was great! Fantastic food, great service, any mistakes were immediately rectified, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip there. Get the affogato, it’s a huge serve with 5 scoops of ice cream! The Nutella panacotta is also amazing.
Great selection of dishes. Good vegan menu for those so inclined.
A little noisy for me. But otherwise excellent. Thanks
Fantastic food but waiters hurrying us every few minutes ruined the experience - brought the bill without us asking for it, we weren’t there for long or ready to leave. Spare tables around so felt rushed and unwelcome
A good place for lunch, the food was a bit slow to arrive, and a little noisy overall, but the meal was excellent, and staff friendly, and I would recommend to others.
First time diners at the Glenferrie location and experience was outstanding.
Excellent service— friendly & helpful.
Food very good.
Staff highly patient with small children
Lovely restaurant with plenty of space. Reasonable service but, unfortunately, calamari was quite chewy. Very pleasant staff.
Booking was complicated and expensive if you had any changes. Music was more suited to a nightclub than a restaurant and too loud (4 of the 5 diners were under 25) - not conducive to talking and dining. Service was friendly but needed prompting. Food was ok. Vegan menu was great. Wouldn't go back though.
Delicious paella and grilled calamari. I would highly recommend this place.
Definitely agree with past reviewers, it took more than 40 minutes from ordering to getting our food. Ordering a pizza, pasta and chips, it felt like a particularly long wait. It was an early Monday night so I would be worried if I came here on a weekend. That being said, the food was good and no complaints otherwise, friendly enough staff and a good ambience.
Very centrally located with a great atmosphere. Rather pricey for small “lunch” meals though.
Every time I've been to Rococo Hawthorn I've had a great time. The friendly service makes it easy to enjoy time with friends as the staff are not intrusive but are around when needed.
