Rojo Mexican Grill - St. Louis Park
Tortilla chips with melted cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo, roasted corn, black olives, drizzled with sour cream
Sautéed onions, peppers, topped with sour cream. Served with lettuce, cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole
Grilled marinated skirt steak, avocado, pico de gallo, Cotija cheese and sour cream
Love the food at rojo, the service was slow but I think they were short staffed for the amount of people on a Friday night so not the server's fault.
We eat here fairly often. Food is consistently excellent. We had fajitas and enchiladas that were absolutely delicious! Fajitas came with homemade soft flour tortillas that are simply the best. Our server Carrie made the experience last night 5 star! I highly recommend Rojo for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious Mexican dinner.
Not sure what was going on with the nachos this time but was definitely not as delicious as they usually are the several times I’ve had them. Drink was the norm. 👍🏽
Horrible horrible experience. Server was awful. Didn’t pay attention to us. No place settings, no refills on drinks. Food came out wrong and I found a TOOTHPICK IN MY FOOD TGST I BIT INTO!!!! Manager was a jerk and couldn’t care less! No apology at all! Said that they use toothpicks in their chimichanga and forgot to removed. Whoops!! It was horrible and food was terrible to boot! Would not recommend to anyone! Save your money!!!!!!
Everything was good. Service was great! We both liked our food.
We’ve been to Rojo many times and always loved the food and service. This time it felt, blah. The food was cold, barely any substance (looked to be the leftovers). Overall if this was our first trip we would never go back.
Because we know how great it can be we will return but hopefully next time is better
Skinny margarita had barely any alcohol. Cost about $11. I felt ripped off. Rest was good
Food was good and generous. Service was great.
My favorite place to eat. Always great service
Great food, great service. Nice to be at a restaurant where you can carry on a conversation.
We had the speediest waitperson we've ever experienced. He zipped up to the table and zipped away so quickly on each encounter that we hardly had a chance to interact with him. He was accurate and attentive however.
Great service. Great food. Be sure to make a reservation
Fabulous experience, as always. From the friendliness of the staff to the lively atmosphere, Rojo is by far one of the best restaurants the Twin Cities has to offer. Our server Jay was not only proactive and efficient, he displayed a proficient knowledge of the menu, making suggestions as we ordered. Tip: order the Roasted Poblano Queso to start the meal off, even if you’re not a queso lover. I always, always order this, and never regret it!
Absolutely love the fresh tortillas and their enchiladas!
Overall the food was good, but expensive. The chips were super greasy, which was a big disappointment. They were dripping with grease. Margaritas were delicious, but pricey. The restaurant was quiet, so my friend and I were able to hear each other easily, and that was really nice.
The food and the margaritas were delicious. Server quick and very friendly. Would highly recommend this place
The happy hour menu is only available at the bar
Food was delicious but didn’t ‘wow’ us. Margaritas were tasty but watered down. Noisy dining room so it was hard to carry a conversation.
We arrived around 5:30 on Halloween and was not busy at all. I’m not sure how many tables our server had but it definitely was not more than 3. Service was really slow and she was very impersonal. We started with one server who brought waters and chips and said our server will be right with us. Eventually she showed up and didn’t greet us and was impersonal- no small talk etc. She walked up to the table and said “how does waters sound”. Food took longer than expected and both our meals were so-so. The music was too loud as it felt like we were at a nightclub. Overall I expected better food, service and experience as I thought this was an upper scale Mexican restaurant. I’m planning to stick with El Lorro as they have better everything.
Not great service, slow and had to ask for utensils and the utensils given was dirty.
Fantastic restaurant - very fast service and the food was delicious.
Great service from the servers. Felt like the staff went above and beyond.
Always good, consistent and fresh!
Great food, parking is Great, love the chips and salsa. Good value!
Everything was going great until I found a hair in our Nacho's and then it just went down from there.
Food was cold and overall just not the best
I took a group of visitors from Thailand to eat Mexican food for the first time. They came away thoroughly satisfied with the experience, the food, the service....
The food is excellent, the quantities are abundant. For example, one guacamole is enough for four people - in some Mexican restaurants, you need four guacamole orders for one person!!!
The chimichanga was fantastic as were the chips and salsa and everything else we had!!!
Love that they have a large seating outside, great happy hour deals and food is really yummy.
great place to eat. Service is always good, food is alway good and hot. Chipotle should take some cooking lesson from you when it comes to chips and salsa. My favorite date night spot
The three of us didn't want to rush into dinner and wanted to enjoy a cocktail and starter before ordering dinner. Our server was awesome and always on top of everything we needed without hesitation. We arrived at 5:30 and were there until 8:pm, and the service never lagged. Everything was on point and we never felt rushed, while also being attended to. It was so relaxing.
Great food and cocktails!
Dogs were cute waitress was good.
Good experience overall. The salsa bowls can be cleaned a little better once they have put in the salsa
Our server, Maxwell, provided regular and well-time attention to my guest and me.
The chicken skewers were absolutely delicious - and wonderfully priced on the happy hour menu! As well, I loved the bottomless chips and salsa!
Lastly, the host accommodated with my request to have the volume of the outdoor speakers turned down. That made all the difference in having easy and effortless conversation.
I'll be back :)
good food and good service - great happy hour prices!
Delicious food and a great atmosphere! Service was quick and friendly. Cocktails were top-notch. We settled on an array of appetizers - the ceviche, guacamole, and nachos. All were stellar and we ate until we couldn't move.
It was so HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE in the restaurant. Close the doors and keep the cool air conditioning in, please. Made for a very uncomfortable birthday dinner.
Food was decent, but service was poor even though the restaurant was mostly empty and there were multiple people working. 45 minutes after placing the order, the server asked us how our meal was and we told him we hadn't received it yet or drink refills. He apologized, came back a couple minutes later, and asked us for our order again so he could submit it. Finally got our food 60 minutes after the original order. The server was nice and apologetic, but could tell he had other things going on.
