Food was fantastic. Service was great and I loved the old home this restaurant was in.
Celebrated our anniversary here and were well taken care of.
Delicious as always. Great drinks. Cod perfectly seared. Pasta carbonara was flavorful and pasta cooked perfectly. The grilled Caesar was great. Loved sitting in the back room. Will ask for that in the future. Very cozy.
We arrived on time 6:00pm and was seated at our table quickly. We were brought water immediately as we got comfortable at our table in the front room. Unfortunately our first conversation was the thought of whether our vehicle would be towed. We parked in the back parking lot because the streets were full, why would a nice restaurant like the Roma not provide parking for customers? As we scanned the menu all we could hear was a group of 4 , a few tables away ranting and coughing about as if they were the owners of the place. We tried our best to ignore them but the sound was to piercing. After 15 minutes my wife agreed to just order and make the best of it. She ordered squash ravioli and I ordered chicken parmigiana. We sipped our wine anticipating our meal’s arrival. Our wine was topped off as our dinner arrived at our table, and our waiter was very nice. My wife was a bit surprised at the small portion of ravioli she was brought, a large bowl with only the bottom containing the food. My wife is not a large person and for the cost, the portions should have been better. I ended up cutting a section of my food to share as we tried to make the best out of our night.
When our bill came to the table I was surprised to see we owed $125 + tip… We have been out to many other places and for what we received it was not worth the money.
We both grew up in this city and wanted to try a place that has been around for years and had some value, Unfortunately we will not be coming back anytime soon .
I loved the restaurant. The food was good. The service excellent
The food and service here were incredible. Next time my fiancé and I are in Portland, we will definitely come back here.
Delicious cocktails, entrees, and appetizers! Lovely restaurant setting in a very intimate space.
All around excellent.
Very nice space and ambience. It felt like we were eating in someone’s home. This is a smaller restaurant, but that is exactly what we were looking for. The waiter was attentive and service was very good. Food was very good as well and they handmade all of their pasta. The cocktails were amazing for a restaurant- on par with the best bars in the city.
Great experience- perfect setting to celebrate a birthday- warm, inviting and comfortable dining room. We loved it.
We love the Roma. The ambiance is great. Our server was outstanding and the food was delicious! We will definitely return! Our only issue was figuring out which spots in the back lot were okay to use! The lighting in the parking lot was not super so the signs were very hard to read.
I can’t believe I’d never been there before, but it was so incredible! I’ll definitely be back.
Such a great experience for my first time at Roma Cafe! The food was delicious and the service was great. I will definitely be back.
Food was ok the chicken parm was very tough
We had the eggplant parmesan and the butternut squash ravioli. Both were outstanding!
Excellent meal, Excellent service!
Fantastic dinner with friends. The food was excellent and the ambience was lovely.
Outstanding service, food, atmosphere. Special occasion place for us. Our waiter is a professional, always attentive, knows wine selections, good sense of humor, doesn't over do it, keeps things in motion. Favorite place to be, love to bring friends.
Small portions, overpriced, with mediocre service.
Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, and wonderful food.
Lovely date night kind of place, great food, nice menu and good staff.
I’d recommend Roma. Very tasty and excellent service. Don’t iss this spot
Lovely night out w great food and polite and attentive waitstaff. Really nice place.
Waitress was very personable.
While the taste of the Bolognese was good, there was not nearly enough sauce. Very disappointing.
Chief came out to talk to us.
Favorite home made pasta spot in Portland and love the cozy ambiance!
One of our favorite romantic places to dine. Delicious food, wonderful service and beautiful ambiance!
I went Friday with my husband and best friend. The service was impeccable. The Chicken Parm could feed two people and it's so good. We plan to become regulars.
Cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Thoughtful seasonal cocktails, well selected wine list and delicious, comforting entrees.
This was our first visit to Roma, and it was a delight. Everyone was masked and seemed careful about pandemic safety. The carbonara pasta was authentic and well prepared, and the special pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked. We had the beets and brussel sprouts to start and a glass of the excellent Venetian white wine. We walked to One Longfellow Square for music after.
I gave four stars because portion size was very small. Service was excellent, atmosphere was great.
We stumbled upon this quaint little place snd so glad we did!! The good was outstanding! Homemade noodles, house made cheese, local farmer’s market veggies. The taste was fresh and the flavors melted in your mouth! Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! You will love this place for any occasion!
It’s always like having dinner at an exceptional friends when dining at the Roma. Comfy, delicious food and comfortable atmosphere!
The restaurant and building were cool. Service was great but food was terrible.
