Romano's Macaroni Grill - Redlands
Excellent and caring, wait staff went out of their way to take care of us. The outside dining went as well as could be expected, and when we asked for hot water to warm up, they understood immediately and brought us hot water!!
The food was incredible! And they were more than happy to make adjustments! We were very happy with meal.
Don’t bother making a reservation, you’ll just wait in line with all the others with reservations, due to COVID slowdown.
Nice place but slow service. Food was good despite the wait.
How can a place be named after pasta and then serve food that tastes like McDonald’s?! Worst meal I’ve had in a long long time and service was beyond poor!
The waitress was the best I’ve had in a long time. Great attitude and super sweet. The business is working hard to survive during covid. They did a great job. Go get some food there!!!
The food is always excellent. The waiter was very slow at everything. The cars in the parking lot were loud and obnoxious. I want to thank them though for figuring out a way for me to be able to come to one of my favorite places and eat during COVID. Not an easy feat.
Service was excellent the entire staff was beyond friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding!!!
NOTE: Although Macaroni Grill sends emails to make dinner reservations, the Redlands restaurant doesn't take them! I didn't eat there due to this, so one star is that the Redlands location hasn't bothered to update its website and could care!
Service was not good.
Very good outdoor setup considering covid restrictions - but food was just as good as dine in!
We arrived at macaroni grill on time for our reservation we were seated outside and then several minutes another couple was seated along with us in the outdoor dining.
Several minutes later a waiter came out and brought the couple sitting next to us fresh bread and water while we waited for our server to take our drink orders. A little bit later our server came out and took our drink orders, about 10 minutes later one of the waiters brought our drinks and some bread out to us and we noticed that both of our cups had dried food inside of them not a little bit but a lot all over both of the glasses we pointed this out and they brought us new waters and new cocktails. Our waiter came out and apologized saying it was dark in the room where he grabbed the glasses from and apologized, We waited another 10 minutes and the waiter brought out new drinks for us. As you can imagine we were cautious of drinking from war glasses because of how dirty the last ones were and we looked our new drinks over, once again both of our drinks were in dirty filthy disgusting glass is even worse than before one of them had a black fiber that looked like a hair inside of the glass. Once again we pointed out to our waiter that these glasses were dirty again he apologized and we let him know that we were leaving and did not want you eat or drink anything at the macaroni Grill, he apologized and offered us a certificate to come back we declined and left.
It was disappointing and upsetting to arrive with a reservation only to find out that they were not honoring any reservations. Why put up a sign outside a restaurant saying taking reservations and not honor them? I realize due to covid-19 but two servers for their money tables was not enough.
We did not even stay for lunch because one of the available
tables had ice cream all over the ground and the other table
had food all over it. Not sanitary at all. For the prices Macaroni
Grill charges they should keep the few outside tables they have
cleaned and ready for customers.
The food was cold and the service was a zero
Love the food!!!
Took waiter 10 minutes to come to our table. Then he brought bread but no silverware or napkins. There were two plates for the bread and 3 people. When asked for silverware and napkins it took 5 minutes to get them.
We ordered and appetizer and our entrees. Waiter told us our appetizer had just come out and he would get it. 5 minutes later he came by and said the same thing. Then another waiter brought our entrees and 5 minutes later our waiter brought the appetizer.
The place was not busy. Many empty tables.
Delish food excellent and accommodating service will be back
Great food Kyle was our server and did outstanding
Overall experience was good. The appetizers were definitely different than what I’m used to but was great to try new foods. The complimentary bread was really tasty. Mac and cheese plate was extremely delicious.
Our server was very courteous and helpful. Even if it’s was a busy night for dinner he made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Great food and service.
The prices are quite high but our server was great!
SERVICE WAS A BIT SLOW---THINK THEY WERE UNDERSTAFFED
Good service from waiter Julian. Food was average. The space itself needs attention. I have dined at several Macaroni Grills many times and have been delighted with the space and ambiance. This Redlands property appears dingy and tired. There was a tremendous foul odor throughout the restaurant that was severe enough that we almost left. While making a quick visit to the restroom, the odors seemed to be eminating from that area. Perhaps some type of plumbing issue. I would expect the problem to be resolved and the odors completely eliminated before opening for business. Not a pleasant experience especially for a special Valentines Day meal.
`Our experience was not a good one. We had a reservation for 7:30 and we got there early and asked to be seated, but the hostess said she couldnt until it was close to our time, even thought there was plenty of tables available. The hostess did a poor job of keeping the flow of the whole meal from start to finish. The bread came late...the drinks didn't come when they should have and didn't get refilled like they should have. Also the meals took so long to get tabled, even though there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. I almost paid $200.00 for the whole meal, which I wouldn't have minded if the service was spot on and quality and it was far from. We drove all the way from Palm Desert to eat at Macaroni Grill for my 56th birthday because of the great experiences we have had when there was one here in Palm Desert. We should have stayed local! We won't be returning nor do we recommend your restaurant. I gave an 18% tip, but should have given way less.
Out server was awful we tried to get up to leave but he said he’d take care of us. No. No tableware no menus no water half hour for dinks half hour for refills cold food. No good.
First let me say that the food and service was very good. Then the problem started. When I left I forgot my credit card (my bad). I discovered it missing two days later but knew where I had left it so I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager (Jose). He said that they didn't have the car but will call me if it turns up. I also notified corporate of the issue and they stated that someone would be in touch (1/3/2020). I then notified my bank who closed the account and sent me a new card. On 1/10/2020 I got a message on my voicemail from Jose stating that he was following up with me to see if he could help with anything else since he had returned my card to me. That I had come in and he personally gave my card to me Well, that never happened. I called Jose back and asked him what he was talking about and he
said " Don't you remember that you came in after I called you and gave you you're card?" I told him that he never called me and I never came in. My phone number is a cell phone and documents all incoming and outgoing calls and there were none from or to the Macaroni Grill after 1/3. He continued to insist that he gave me my card. He then asked me to hold on and came back on the line after a minute or so and said that my card was still there. (Shocking). No apology or anything and asked me when I would come and get it. I asked him at that point "what he was smoking". I told him that he basically lied to me three times and I don't need the card at this point since the bank took care of it. Whatever they're paying this guy is too much and I will never go back to that restaurant again. Juan turned a 5 star experience into a disaster with one phone call. Forgetting my card is on me..everything after that is on them (or him). I don't know what he hoped to gain by lying to me but I would guess that he probably lied to his boss as well. Jose needs to be gone.
Christmas evening dinner. We waited a very long time for our dinners to be served even though the restaurant was not nearly full. When our friends we were dining with complained to the manager, Jackie, about it, we were told that the takeout orders were overwhelming the kitchen. Hmmm. So she gave our friends an approximately 35% discount on their bill. On our bill, she took off a measly 10%! Obviously we had waited just as long as our friends had... I just don’t get it. My husband didn’t want to make a fuss over it, but I’m still irritated by the whole thing.
Did a nice job on Christmas- TY for being open!!
Seating slow with a lot of empty tables. Service, Food a bit slow but it was Christmas so not a big deal.
All food really delicious, well seasoned and prepared.
The three clowns upfront acting as hostess were more concerned about socializing than actually doing their job.. made reservations and arrived early... they ignored the reservation time in a half empty restaurant and sat us 30 minutes after .. I checked on our status twice and they still managed to overlook our reservation.. total lack of caring for the customers experience and from other instances I witnessed starts at the managers level
Yes, I always recommend Romano macaroni grill in Redlands to my friends‼️
Our server, Heather, was very attentive. The food was ok but too oily. However it’s was we usually expect from macaroni grill. Enjoyed the bread very much as always. Still a great place to have lunch with the family
took to long to get our food. then it was cold. ordered a drink when we finally got our food and it never came. we had to ask to cancel the drink and please give us our bill. the waitress forgot to cancel the drink on our bill and had to adjust the bill. very disappointed with the food and how long we waited to get cold food.
Waitress Gina was awesome and very attentive
The waiter was really nice
Great food, good customer service and place really clean
Visit was disappointing - greeted early by our server which was a nice start to evening. He warned us that they were out of bread but assured us that it would be coming fresh from the oven. After a delay, came back for our order and we had to remind him that we would like to have bread. Another server delivered our salads - person had no idea who had ordered what. Food came for half our party of four- again not delivered by our server and the person covering acted like it was an inconvenience to deliver our food. No offer of fresh ground paper or Parmesan cheese like other tables were offered. Our regular server returned once after all our food was delivered to check but forgot to come back to refill waters and tea. Food was average to fair quality - pasta was cold rather than hot. It was not excessively busy but maybe they were short staffed? Have always enjoyed Macaroni Grill prior to this experience so hoping that it was just an off night.
Customer service was amazing. Food tasted great it was just served cold. Granted it was on Thanksgiving and we chose the Thanksgiving meal so it might’ve been that it was all premade in advance .
It wad a wonderful place to dine. Food and services is excellent
Excellent food. Serving was just right. I had the paste de mare and my husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. Tiramisu was for dessert.
Service was excellent too. Our server was very attentive even with an apprentice she was on top of everything.
Price was just right.
We will definitely come back😊
