The view is beautiful and ambience is great but the food selection is not great at all. I’m sure there’s someone else to get the same or better view but with better food.
Hidden gem in DTLA! Had brunch there with a group of friends -- enjoyed all menu items and especially the carafes of champagne.
Geenah was our server, she was wonderful great service. Made our birthday celebrations a great experience.
We loved our food, our server and the view!
Chill vibes beautiful view food was ok a little cold
It was a good place but not perfect as a rooftop only you see from one corner the rooftops beside
Very nice place to go. Are waitress was really nice and sweet.
Came in to celebrate getting married and our server, Mark, was amazing!
Great ambiance, great food & excellent service. Would go again
I’m never coming back here. Food was mediocre and server was rude. I ordered the chilaquiles and my friend ordered the avocado toast, along with a carafe of mimosas. For a new, rooftop restaurant and the price of the food, I honestly expected more. I went on a Saturday at noon and it was far from busy. The food took forever to arrive and when I got my order of chilaquiles, they were cold and missing soyrizo. The avocado toast was meh. I sent back the chilaquiles and the server tried to argue with me saying they were not cold and did have soyrizo which they infact didn’t! I hate sending food back because it’s awkward but they were cold! They came back out and it’s like they just gave me same order. I didn’t feel like dealing with it anymore so just forced self to eat cold, tomato drenched tortilla chips. The carafe was also not worth it. It was smaller than the average carafe.
The rooftop at Wayfarer was a great spot to have a birthday dinner with friends. The vibe was great, great service, and good drinks. The menu however is very limited and way over priced in my opinion. Food was okay, not the greatest for the price. Would definitely recommend this place for a nice night out!
Came in, wasn’t greeted. Stood there for a good few minutes while employees kept walking by. Finally, greeted, told the girl host I had a reservation at 8:45pm under Deeanna. She then told me she did not have a reservation for me and asked for a confirmation #. I then showed her it and she still said she did not have me in the list but told me that “since I have a reservation but it’s not showing up, I can get you a table within 20 minutes” like doing us a favor ?? I said sure. Waited for our table. Then we ordered the “catch of the day” tacos, fried, & a beer. The server, although friendly, said it was Cod. We said that sounds good. Waited. Next thing you know she comes out and says we actually don’t have anymore available. Well, we wanted to just cancel the whole order and go. Then I saw another employee come and talk to her saying there are fish tacos left. She then came back and told us nvm this is the last order. We then said okayyy? “This is for sure for us right ?” My boyfriend just wanted to cancel and go but I told him it’s okay. We had our food but still no beer. We both took a bite of the tacos & they weren’t cod, it was salmon. Overall, very messy with staff to kitchen staff. What if i was allergic to salmon? Will definitely not be back. We tried this place because we were actually staying at the Wayfarer, which was a very nice hotel!
classic case of inattentive staff who appear not to give a crap unless they’re yelled at by the customer
Very dissatisfied, I wanted some shrimp they didnt have anymore shrimp. The server had very bad customer service, they took a very long time to get our drinks ordered. Server said we will get our appetizer before the food came in, that didnt happen. We got our food way before the appetizers.
Great experience, the food was delicious!
Waiter seemed very energetic when he introduced himself but after he took our order we never saw him again even though he would constantly come to the tables next to us. We had to ask the lady who was in charge of sitting down the guests for our check and someone in our group ordered a drink which he never brought and when we asked her to cancel it he just came because we called him over for water and said the bar was busy but they were constantly carrying out trays loaded with drinks.
Loved it! Definitely the place to hang out with your spouse or friends! Ask for Savior, great server!!
Great ambience! Food is really tasty too
I reviewed this place pretty low. I was here last weekend and our server was not attentive to our table at all. Not only that but I had made a reservation for 11:15 and we didn’t get sat until almost 12. We had a party of 6 and we ordered quiet a lot of food and drinks. We ordered the tater tots and it took over an hour to get them. The table that got there after us got their food way before us. Our server probably came to check up on us twice. Took forever to bring us a second round beers and shots. Its a nice place but service was horrible.
It's wonderful to sit outside downtown L.A. We dined Saturday night and the place was full. I doubt very much that the tables were 6 feet apart but it was fine. The food was only fair. Street tacos arrived cold and flavorless. Shrimp and grits, touted by the wait staff as "unbelievable" were, in fact, very ordinary and quite expensive. The salmon salad was really uninteresting. The drinks were good, if on the pricey side. The service was almost non-existent. It's a nice place to sit outside, but don't go expecting good food
Even though we had a reservation we got seated 30-40 minutes later. I requested for a view and that’s what we thought we were getting but they gave us a back corner table so we had to wait longer. That was the only complaint but other than that everything was great
Great place to go to for a nice casual rooftop lunch/dinner. Had a great view of downtown and the food was great!
Cold food! Food also came out for us at separate times so one person had food and the other didn’t so 1 person had to wait for the other to get their food which was about 10 mins, so that persons food got cold! Had a reservation for 9:15 didn’t get seated until 9:56.
Beautiful view great place to go and have a beer but wouldn’t get anything else there.
Great little gem in LA would love to return back with a larger group. The food was alright but the drinks were amazing
Food was over cooked .. took FOREVER to get order .. staff would come and ask if we need anything and than they never come back with what you requested and you would have to ask again. Drinks was horrible! There’s more to a good drink than just alcohol! It’s unfortunate because it’s a great location but I will not be returning!
The staff was Great, food was mediocre, and drinks were priced nice but really not strong.
The view and ambiance are great. The service, value, and food absolutely are not. Seems like a classic Los Angeles restaurant that banks on having a roof top to compensate for everything else being horrible.
Great service. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and sweet!
It was amazing with great service, food, and drinks!
If you go, you gotta drink the LA Girl! Won’t disappoint!!
PLUS, a superb view of LA skyscrapers ❤️
Xavier was a courteous and professional waiter! Thank you!
We ordered drinks of 1942 margaritas and were told this is what we ordered and received. When he requested another around, they claim to not have never had 1942. Which was odd since they presented the drink. Long behold, the bartender, server, and manager all lied about what was being served and charged of for the higher drink. When they were caught they were apologetic and we let it go, but the audacity was when the manger and staff tired to charge us for the margarita but took off the wrong and untruthful 1942 shot. The service was tacky. The staff will lie and serve you things you didn’t order, but say it’s what you ordered.
The host was amazing!!! Again THE HOST WAS AMAZING. Now the restaurant as a whole seemed to lack communication that night, I hope. We waited 30 minutes to be served, much due to the fact that none of the waiters/waitresses were aware of our presence. I had to flag someone down, and thereafter our order was brought to us incorrectly. Once my party was ready to order more drinks they mentioned they’d already called last call, but no one again made us aware of this. The ambiance was great and if it wasn’t for the host being very welcoming and my party being so entertaining I would have had a miserable time. I may have actually given a better review than expected.
Love the ambiance
This was my second time giving this rooftop a chance and both times the service has been really bad. The waiters take a really long time to bring out your order even if it’s just drinks. They also barely check up on you if you need anything else and will forget to bring you any additional drinks you later order. I do not recommend and will not be going back.
wished someone came back and actually took our food order.
Very cool and relaxing time
Staff not attentive. Took more than 5 min of us standing there for a host to see us. Wait staff saw and didn’t say anything while we stood there. And waitress didn’t know much about food. She could barely recommend anything.
Great views, amazing food and cocktails!
