superb all round food service and ambience will surley be back again
Food was excellent, we were running late to arrive and with the kitchen closing, was allowed to order via telephone. Nice experience
Food and service was nice, but portions were very small and overpriced. Left the place hungry after 3 courses.
Enjoyed our meal , ambience fabulous extremely comfortable.
Service fantastic and we really enjoyed our conversation in Irish with the waiter.
Will be recommending a meal at the Rosa Madre to all my friends when they visit Dublin.
Really nice fresh fish Italian restaurant in Temple Bar. Dishes beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Staff attentive and helpful. Not cheap but worth it!
We had a super night would highly recommend
Excellent food and service.
They live up to their claim to being a great Italian restaurant. We were made feel so welcome. The preparation of the fish at the table was fantastic.
Becoming one of our regular eateries in Dublin.
Cannot find any bad comments about this hidden gem.
Its fresh, its fish, and service is excellent.
Hope to be back there soon.
Fab food particular the turbot for 4
Only negative ..price of lowest point for wine was 35€ a bottle
Exceptional seafood! Probably the best I’ve had in Dublin. The seabass baked in sea salt looked amazing and tasted even better. The lobster pasta was incredible. Such an authentic enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back to try something else.
Suoer food waiters so nice and polite good vibes overall.
Best restaurant in Dublin ! The staff is Very kind and the food is amazing!!!! Fish is delicious
We ordered our food at 8.20pm and didn’t receive it until 9.15pm. They did give us 2 baskets of bread to keep us going but we would have ordered starters had we known the service would be so slow. We had ordered 2 pasta dishes & 1 risotto so nothing that should have taken so long.
Food and service excellent
What a wonderful restaurant. We were unsure of a particular wine to have with our meal and the girl serving us brought us each a sample taste - which we decided to have with our meal - what a lovely touch! We loved everything here - the ambiance, the food (wow), the wine, the service and the friendly welcoming staff. The wine is a little on the pricey side, but it's not going to stop us from returning again and again.
After 1 hour 20 mins we were told we needed to wrap it up in the middle of our main course. For €130 for two people this was disappointing. Manager was very defensive when it was raised.
Lovely, very pleasant, superb food😋😋
Gorgeous as always. A real treat for fish lovers. :)
Great food, sea bass was delicious and waiters were friendly. Maybe a little over priced on certain items but delicious nonetheless!
as awesome as always. lemon sole to die for
Although the restaurant was nice. We thought the menu was very overpriced. The wine was extortionate.
Booked for a rare night out in town and ended up coming away disappointed. The food was great but the service was bad. Firstly we arrived on time but had to stand in the doorway for 10 mins while they found us a table. We were in the for waiters getting fish from the display and for other customers coming and going. We then got a nice quiet seat upstairs. So quiet in fact that the waiters barely noticed us. Our meal took 3 hours from start to finish with most of that time spent waiting to be served. It got to the stage where we ran out of water and wine but couldn’t find someone to order from. I probably should have gone wandering to find a waiter but when you’re in a nice place paying good money you expect some service. We got the excuse that it was busy and there was a large party there at the same time but if you are going to accept the booking make sure you have the staff to look after everyone. It’s a pity because the food was really good but I won’t be back.
It was delicious
I was very disappointed with the service in Rosa Madre. I had booked a table weeks in advance yet when I arrived I was kept waiting by the door , next to the fish tank for twenty minutes. We had to move constantly while standing there , as other customers were entering and exiting and waiters had to access the fish tank. When we were eventually shown to our table no-one offered to take our coats. We had to ask about the specials of the day when the waiter came to take our order. The food was delicious when it eventually came and the waiter was helpful when we were selecting our wine. However, when we tried to order dessert some items were not available and we should have been appraised of this when we were given the menu. Overall, I felt the service was appalling and when we brought it to attention at the end of the evening were told 'It's Saturday night and we were busy'! I would not recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Very nice place. Great food and hospitality.
Excellent dinner experience. The food was very good - we especially would recommend the risotto (a special main course). The service was attentive. Ambiance was okay, nothing special - but we sat across from the kitchen, and could see how hard - but with apparent pleasure - the cooks were working. The prices were a bit high, but well worth it. We will certainly eat here again.
We love this restaurant, simply delicious
Wonderful restaurant with excellent staff. Really enjoyed ourselves.
Thanks, we had a great time and lovely food in your restaurant!
Spending our last night in Dublin, we were delighted to spend it at the Rosa Madre, a beautiful quiant restaurant with excellent food, service and wines.
The starters, Carpaccio di Manzo and Jamon Iberico with Bufala Mozzarella and Seafood platter were TOP.
Main courses with the Beef Tagliata di Manzo was another hit, and not forgetting our Tirami Su and Torta di Cioccolata...stunning.
Guys ye have a beautiful Restaurant and everything at perfection.
We will definitly be back.
A Presto y grazie mille.
Disappointing New Year’s Eve. Food overall good but service and ambience very poor. Wine water looked bored and didn’t care what or how much poured.
Will not return
Very good service and exelent food! Recemend this place.
Rosa Madre is a well established restaurant, located in a quiet part of Temple Bar, away from the madding crowd! There's a lovely warm welcome when you come through the door and we were made feel very at ease.
The menu is varied and enticing - we went for the Carlingford oysters to start, which are served perfectly on ice, with a little squeeze of lemon. We chose the Sicilian prawn carpaccio also, which came recommended online and was definitely a winner - would highly recommend!
For mains, we chose between us the spaghetti vongole (clams) which was JUST what I wanted, and the special of pan fried sole (buttery, lemony and delicious again!).
My only negative about Rose Madre is price - the mains, especially the filleted fish are VERY expensive, but at least you know you are getting high quality, fresh produce. If you want some extra veggies (fish is served with potatoes or spinach), you will need to pay for them.
Despite the dent in my wallet, I would definitely return - the restaurant itself is calm, relaxed, nice ambient music, with lovely wine and attentive, but not over-crowding service.
A nice treat!!
If I could leave no stars I would. Terrible experience at Rosa Madre, we left without eating. Arrived at 8pm, by 8:20 still stood by the door no one had acknowledged us. Staff were walking around avoiding eye contact whilst a queue was forming stood next to an open fridge filled with warm looking fish. We tried to speak to the host who replied with ‘can’t you see I’m busy’. He then went onto say ‘he’d see what he could do about a table in 15 minutes’ despite already having booked. We left without being seated as the host was extremely rude, also telling us he knows how to run a restaurant and place looked manic and under staffed not the dining experience we had hoped for. Coming from a busy city ourselves we are used to waiting and would of happily waited had we been acknowledged. We’ve never experienced service like it and certainly never left anywhere before eating, not a great experience all round.
Amazing food and wine list. We had a fabulous time!
Best meal I have ever had in Ireland ! Amazing service , brilliant staff and fabulous food
Christmas lunch with friends. Group of 4. We all loved it.
