My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Rudy's and everything was perfect!
Rudy's always a happy place to arrive for dinner or drinks - especially for Thanksgiving dinner. Rudy's forever!
Great food as always! A little wait as it was Thanksgiving, but it was worth it!
Wonderful meal with beautiful ambiance and service!
Traditional Rudy’s Thanksgiving- been doing it 15 years except Covid last year. It became our tradition.
Always a great experience! Nicest servers ever.. very attentive even tho it was a really busy day!
Best tasting steak I have ever had. Great service and for a full holiday seating was easy to carry on a conversation at our table.
Tables were cramped but staff was great and apologetic for the set up. Food was good, prices jacked up for the day but that’s Rudy’s and the young owner.
This theme everything was great. Food is always excellent but service can be hit or miss with long wait times for food and probably because it can be a full house at times. Lamb chops are excellent
The food and service were exceptional. We definitely will return.
Thank you the wonderful evening.
Food was kind of bland. Steak was cooked right but no seasoning. Same for the mashed potatoes. The rolls they serve are hard. Overall not worth the price. Service could be better. Ordered drinks and waiter never brought them or came back to
table so we could remind them. But we were charged for them on bill.
Loved the entire experience. Rudy's helped to make me and my husband's anniversary very special.
Our party enjoyed prime rib, steak and salmon. The beef eaters raved about their food and my salmon was good. They served it with a generous portion of Asparagus (yum) .
We all enjoyes a glass of wine from their vast list and topped it iff with Marionberry Cobbler ala mode.
Our server was wonderful and helpful and friendly.
I put Rudy's on the keep list. We ate indoors but they have beautiful patio dining.
Wait staff was extremely helpful. When the heater next to our table would not light after repeated attempts by three different people, they carried the broken one away and brought a working one to our table. During the meal we were asked several times if everything was OK and if they could do anything else to make mu wife's birthday meal more memorable. What a very friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely recommend Rudy's Steakhouse and will certainly return ourselves.
Girlfriends birthday was lovely here. Definitely would return
The service here is excellent! The happy hour menu price and value was the best I’ve had out of any happy hour I’ve had at a restaurant. I will highly recommend to family and friends! I will keep coming back! Thank you Rudy’s Steakhouse!
Went here for my Birthday dinner with family & it was most of their first time ever dining with Rudy’s. They all decided to come back.
The place was PACKED at 7pm on a Saturday -- glad I made reservations. My meal was coursed at a very leisurely pace, which was fine after a day of wine tasting nearby. The crab cakes, caesar salad, filet mignon and loaded potato were all first rate and readily support the locals' mass enthusiasm. An easy walk from the convention center, this should be on the list for any visiting carnivore.
Custom cocktail too sweet for a Mario berry margarita. Massive bourbon/scotch choices, would suggest Magellan Gin for greater variety in gin & tonic choice. Ceaser salad dressing exceptional flavor, suggest tearing lettuce smaller than 3”x4” pieces. Enjoyed presentation of food, delicious flavor.
Long-time Rudy’s fan, mostly great visit (service, Spanish Coffee, warm rolls, Marionberry cobbler), but really disappointed in the quality of my favorite Apple Gorgonzola salad with Cajun chicken. The chicken breast was barely done, minuscule apple slices, lettuce not crisply fresh. The salad was simply not up to par, and I didn’t finish the chicken. Going to be back there in three weeks and hoping the quality of this staple salad on their menu is back to its previous quality.
Excellent food, my NY strip was very tender with just enough seasoning to bring out the flavor of the beef without over-doing it. Wife loved her king crab legs, which were served on the half-shell, so they are very easy to get to without laboring to get to the meat. Nice atmosphere in the main dining area. The only drawback was a large and loud birthday group, but they were only loud for about 5 minutes, no big deal. Server was prompt, informative and pleasant as always.
The food was good but it took close to an hour to get our order. I had my toddler children with me and they were extremely confused as to why it was taking so long to get our food. In addition for the price point the plating and presentation could use drastic improvement. They also forgot key items that were to be a part of the meal and didn’t bother doing some of the pre work on items listed as “shareable” on the menu aka 3 lb tomahawk steak. I relocated to Salem and am used to paying the prices charged here, but I truly expected more for it being one of the top steak houses in Salem especially when the options are slim. I came for my husbands birthday and was disappointed in the mediocre quality (my potato was not even baked completely) of the food and the lack of attentiveness of the service.
Went for my son’s 20th birthday. Great ambiance and top notch service. Overpriced. An 8 oz filet was $56. Filet was just ok. Cesar dinner salads were great. We ordered a bottle of wine (Chardonnay) which I can get at the grocery store for $8.89 for $45.
Overall not the best experience. Asparagus and a Yukon potatoes undercooked. Party of 4 seated in middle of room. No privacy at all. Mix-up on order....our fault and Rudy’s fault. Took at least 45 minutes to get check and pay.
Fantastic food from top to bottom of meal. Great drinks as well. 16oz Rib Eye was cooked perfectly and had a great simple seasoning that let the quality if meat shine. As always will be back again.
Three of us enjoyed Happy Hour menu offerings & cocktails. Service, food & drinks were all spot on. Great experience overall.
Overall was tasty and nice. Maybe the cheese dressing need a bit more blue cheese crumbs
It was great and the service was wonderful. It is a little on the spendy side but nothing you eat there bad. I took my wife for her birthday and they were great.
Extremely disappointed in our recent trip to Rudy’s. This is the third year I’ve taken my husband here for his birthday dinner. Normally we have a wonderful experience.. this time was different. We arrived and we’re seated quickly our table was terribly placed wait staff was constantly walking past to get to the dining room, which is no problem other than our table was bumped into serval time. We received our soup and salads which were great. Waiting a little too long for our entrees .. we both had picked items that were pretty costly at $50+ again no problem as long as we get what we paid for .. the issue was when we received our entrees the plating was extremely sloppy.. the food looked unappetizing with glaze dried all over the outer rim of the plate I tried to clean up myself but was so hard dried and crusted on you couldn’t. The proteins were cooked well that potatoes were lumpy.. some of my Brussels were burnt but the asparagus was cooked well on my husbands plate. As it was his birthday and we marked so on our reservation, when we were offered dessert we were only told about a layer cake and crème brûlée. The table beside us also had two birthdays and that table was offered a cobbler that is only for birthdays. Like I said above we normally have wonderful dining experiences here but I don’t think we will be coming back for special occasions. This time we were rarely checked on. The only good service we received that night was from the girl filling up our water.
Outstanding meal and service. Really enjoyed ourselves and the food was perfect.
Great food and service
Excellent meal, best steaks in the Willamette Valley!
Took my Navy Veteran wife there on Veterans Day . 1/2 off entre for her . We had a bottle of wine and enjoyed a very good meal . She had salmon neptune and i had prime rib . Both excellent . Server was spot on also . Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .
Service was slow. From being seated until the server arrived seemed long. We were left with a drinks list but no wine list, it came after being asked for. This added to the slowness, the list is long, but could use updating. The first selection was not available and their substitute rejected and another bottle selected and that one came to table. We ordered steaks with salads. It took what seemed forever for the salads arrive. Before the salads were finished the server arrived with the order. Given the size of the table I had my salad taken away, my wife found space to keep hers. The steaks were both ordered medium rare but were closer to medium. The Yukon gold potatoes were undercooked and hard. As soon as I finished, my plate was removed and the check arrived. My wife was still finishing her meal. Overall nowhere near as good as in the past.
Our family party of four all had the classic medallions which were excellent. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake and a marionberry crisp: both were excellent with the crisp slightly the "winner!"
Everything was excellent. They were very busy, but everything ran smoothly, and we were treated like we were the only people in the place. Food was amazing. Highly recommend.
Great service! Seated promptly with our reservation. Great cocktails and delicious meal.
This dinner was for our 40th anniversary. Service and food were outstanding. Made for a wonderful anniversary dinner.
Great food, great wine and good service. All of us really enjoyed it. Very high quality.
Dined on the patio, enjoyed the heaters and excellent food and service!
