Ruth's Chris Steak House - Jersey City

Was looking forward to a good steak dinner. Unfortunately, Jersey City Ruth's Chris missed the mark on service (very slow), quality (steak was cold on the inside), mashed potatoes weren't) and the whole experience was way overpriced.

Food was good. Our server, Marlon, was phenomenal.

Stuffed chicken came out not as requested but it was easily rectified but my mash potatoes wasn’t garlic mashed potatoes it was just thick with parsley 🌿 thrown on top. Overall it was a good experience

The food and service were amazing! The porterhouse was so tender and the cocktails were excellent. The raspberry cosmo was my favorite.

Our first date night of 2021. Ruth Chris was amazing

Every year we pick a location to have the first meal of the year and this was the location of choice. The food was ok; my date requested well done steak and It was pink on the inside. The service ruined the evening. Left waiting long periods of time.

It was nice the waiter wasn’t attentive and we never seemed to have a solid waiter once that person left . They cut the lights on too early in the restaurant too to get people out of there.

Birthday dinner—was a great experience!

Here for New Years dinner. Service was really lacking, but understandably so. Unfortunate that no corkage fee to bring our own wine, as we were forced to wait for drinks to arrive on several occasions.

Pleasant experience. Only thing I could suggest is to be more strict with a dress code. There were some guests that were inappropriately dressed that brought down the overall atmosphere. Otherwise, excellent as always.

There was a hair in my food. Then when it was time for my replacement steak I was told “we are packing it to go because everyone needs to leave at 10pm” Mind you had they not made this disgusting mistake I could’ve ate my steak in the restaurant. Finally I went to the manager and explained I would prefer to dine-in and not take it to go. She then had them bring my steak which was not hot at all to my table and I had to rush and eat it before being dismissed out of the restaurant. I definitely will not be coming back.

The atmosphere was very romantic and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and the steak was one of the best steaks we’ve had. The only problem was Parking. They don’t have a valet service because of COVID-19 and that made it difficult to find a spot. Otherwise the evening was spectacular and the food was amazing. I highly recommend it.

was very pleased. went for christmas eve dinner an they did a very nice job, food was good, my steak was very good and it's hard to find a good steak these days. i'd go back and recommend to go.

Great food, nice atmosphere and very good service. This was my first Thanksgiving menu and this restaurant set up a high standard. Definitely go there again. Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely great. service is the best. the lobster bisque is good but it is completely pureed no lobster meat at all. That's the only thing I would change - lobster meat in the bisque

The staff at Ruth’s Chris is attentive, helpful, and personable! I get steaks with my dad for my birthday each year and I always have an excellent time. Would recommend to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.

Everything was really nice and pleasant. However I placed a to go order in addition to the dinner I had and after getting home and opening the container, it was half of what was ordered and looked as though someone had scooped some of the casserole out of the container.

Hello it was a fabulous meal; the service was great with Giovanny "Gio" and every single part of the meal was excellent. And I just picked a wine at random and that too (Italian
pino grigio) was great. I had the steak with the bit of lobster on the side on the prix fixe choices. it was enough for leftovers the next day. The noise level (early evening) was excellent, you could have a nice calm conversation without sitting right on top of the next table. I'll be back!

We had a very nice time celebrating a birthday. Food was terrific and staff very friendly.
As always, a terrific restaurant.

Amazing experience, great food , they made my partner’s birthday perfect and great service!

Food and service were both top notch. The filet and lobster mac were spectacular. Our waiter was so thoughtful in surprising my friend with a dessert for her birthday. The other staff were also very attentive. Ambience was nice and quiet due to covid - which the restaurant is taking seriously (i.e. no bar-top seating, paper wrapped straws and no bar stirrers/straws, customers pack up their own leftovers). Outdoor dining is offered with ample space indoor as well (around 430pm on a Sunday).

Went to eat here for my birthday. Only 20mims from NYC. Less crowded to maintain social distancing.

It was good, but for that price I expected a bit better meat.

Food quality and presentation went into the crapper.

My boyfriend took me there for my 31st bday . It was my first time there and it was amazing !!

I have been a repeat customer at this location for two years. This time, I requested my filet medium rare but received it medium well; I needed to send it back. The fish my date ordered was overcooked and rubbery. I also ordered one drink that never came. Overall, this was a poor experience--there are much better value restaurants in Jersey City.
