   Rye is our favorite restaurant in Appleton. The menu is limited, but the choices are unique. The layers of flavors are amazing. The tempura cheese curds are delicious! If you like goat cheese then don't miss the cheesecake. The service is professional and efficient. The ambiance is cozy. You really need a reservation, because they are always. busy.

   Second time visiting Rye. First time had small plates with friends and this time had a large plate, short rib—yum! Food each time was absolutely fabulous! The vibe is a good one and beautiful decor, but it is loud depending on where you sit. Rafael was a knowledgeable and friendly server.

   We got checked in at server desk got table right away got feeling from server like we weren’t supposed to be there brought our drinks and made snarky comment here our first nest coke on the rocks got our French onion soup and it was bellow expectations because other reviews said it was excellent it was just ok the steak and burger tasted like the sear on it was burnt charcoal it was really not very good the whole experience was very disappointing will not back

   Made reservations a few days prior with multiple times available. Came in and was brought to the other side of the restaurant, basically in the hotel lobby. It was bright , awkward, and absolutely not ideal for a date. I came for the ambiance since I’ve never been here, and was so disappointed that I had no say in the location where we were eating.

   I started out with the French onion soup, which was outstanding. My wife had the chicken Marsala and our friend and I had the scallops. We were all very pleased with our choices. We then shared the brownie and cookie for dessert, and they were great as well. Our waitress, Sashi, was excellent. In all, it was a terrific night!

    This is a lovely place to have a nice dinner. All of the staff were very helpful without being intrusive. The food was delicious. I would return to Rye the next time I'm in Appleton.

    The food was excellent. We did not feel rushed at all and were able to spend time enjoying the appetizers, main course and dessert at our pace. We definitely will be back!

    Rye is my favorite place to eat before shows at the Fox cities PAC. They always deliver an outstanding experience. I had the risotto which was amazing. My daughter had the chicken marsala. The servers are very attentive, but not overbearing. I always know I will have a great meal when I dine at Rye.

    First time dining here. We had a great experience. The food was fantastic, the service was solid, and the overall restaurant seemed clean and well taken care of. It's a smaller place, so I would tell you to "bring a little patience", as people come and go / before you are seated. Look forward to dining there again soon!

    I chose the root beer braised beef short ribs on mashed potatoes with baby carrots & flash fried( I think) kale, absolutely delicious! It was a very generous portion that I normally would have taken half home, but I was hungry & we were going to a show, so I ate it all! My husband had the regular size ribeye steak ( not shown on their online menu) I saw “regular size” because they offer a bone in tomahawk ribeye also. He LOVES steak, but isn’t crazy about sides or sauces he isn’t familiar with, but with some encouragement he ordered it & finished all of it, right after the delicious French onion soup. The only thing I wouldn’t have again was the blackberry lavender martini, way too sweet & heavy on the lavender.

    PHENOMENAL! This is top notch, place to enjoy the finer things in Wisconsin. Appleton is an older city, but this restaurant is hip, sexy, cozy, and a gorgeous place. The service was impeccable. We had reservations for five, and we walked in with only three and that beautiful table for five and they said oh do not worry sit there and enjoy what restaurant will do that? The food is off the chart and Chef is amazing because the food is very well prepared and the presentation is everything. The food was crafted perfectly. The taste was incredible. We had risotto, balls, shrimp appetizers, the charcuterie platter, very well prepared. We then had the feature super French onion. It was full of texture, and not just juice the chicken, marsala and ribeye prepared perfectly. Thank you for a beautiful dinner. I live in Chicago and this is one of the top places I would recommend. RYE you are the best!

    What a find! Delicious and well prepared food with quality food ingredients. From cocktails to dessert the meal will be memorable one for someone who travels constantly through the country. The staff was knowledgeable and timed our meal perfectly. And whoever is making the wine choices has the right taste and idea. I went back the following night and will return the next time I am in town.

    Went here for our anniversary. It was an awesome night. We requested the table by fireplace and it was ready when we arrived. Our server Sachi was wonderful, she never rushed us but made sure every detail was cared for. The food was yummy, we started w the crab cakes, best we’ve ever had. Light and flavorful, not just a bunch of breading. For our entrees we orded the scallops and Iowa prime. Both were served perfectly. Servings were just right, still had room to share a dessert. We went with the tiramisu, light and creamy topped with some fresh berries. Left feeling it was one of our most enjoyable dinners. Can’t wait till next time😊

    I’ve never been disappointed by the food at Rye but I had the pork chop with maple bacon glazed brussels sprouts and butternut squash risotto and it was absolutely spectacular.

    I was disappointed that the only green salad available was with baby greens. I was looking forward to a caesar salad or a salad made with iceberg - I was told these were not. The server did not even offer to check with the chef to see if he/she could have made one.
