Sakana Sushi Lounge is the culmination of hand selected fish and creative Japanese cuisine in an elegant yet comfortable space in Downtown Los Angeles.     I took a group of friends for a bday surprise dinner. I hate to complain but we got no attention or service. I only got one drink the entire night because our server was nowhere to be seen. I had to get up after 20 minutes to go find him and ask for our check. Waited another 15 minutes for that to arrive. Everyone was in disbelief at how we were basically abandoned after placing our order. I was embarrassed to have brought everyone there. Food was good.

    Myself and 2 colleagues came here for dinner. We’re in town for a convention and it was walkable from the downtown Marriott. Great service, yummy food, and tasty drinks! I would definitely recommend and go again.

    We had dinner early on a Friday evening before a show. The restaurant was pretty much empty. Service was prompt and nearly perfect, thus 4 stars. I had to remind them to bring our dessert. The bogo sushi rolls were all good in taste and value. I would go again.

    Sakana is a great spot: sushi is very fresh and reasonably priced. The ambience is great, music is good and not loud or distracting, and the service is consistent. If there was one thing I'd like to see it would be a larger selection of cocktails.

    Rolls are pretty good but overpriced. However, they had two for one deal that made it worth it. Cocktails and ambience are nice. Table service was kind of slow even though it was empty. Food came out fast though.
